Fair+ CBS healthcare/abortion story promotes solid pro-life, lame pro-abort talking points
CBS provided more than fair coverage Sunday of the the House’s passage of the Stupak/Pitts Amendment.
Note the solid pro-life talking points…
… and the weak, lame pro-abortion talking points I would not be happy CBS chose to spotlight if I were a pro-abort PR rep…
The “religious views” talking point is stale. Pro-lifers have done a good job articulating opposition to abortion based on science and the health and safety of women as well religion. Most Americans consider themselves religious anyway, Christian even.
And the fact of the matter is most Americans don’t want to pay for someone else’s abortion. And the fact of the matter is pro-aborts including Nancy have been arguing “reproductive health,” i.e., abortion, wasn’t included in socialized healthcare in the first place. It’s hard to argue against a nonissue.

I should note Miller, tsk tsk, changed “pro-abortion rights Democrats” to “pro-choice Democrats” in her written story.
And in the written story Miller also included the false but best pro-abort talking point I’ll be addressing in my WorldNetDaily.com column Wednesday, Keenan speaking: “Right now about 80 to 85% of private insurance companies cover abortion care. This means that women without their own money in this country are not going to be allowed to access that care.”
I’m sure Keenan is fuming that CBS didn’t include that soundbite in its video news story.

Because the Bible said that Bart Stupak is supposed to put an amendment that was already in place into the new health bill and if he acts upon this passage of the Bible (that we all know exists- only Christians can want their tax dollars to go to something productive instead of abortion) he is shoving a religion that he may not even belong to down the throats of all of humanity.
so the health care package will not fund abortions. but how much will it fund family planning, prenatal care, & every other possible service that will alleviate the root causes of abortion?
why aren’t more prolifers talking about *that*? saying “don’t do that” or “won’t fund that” is quite insufficient.

My site also contains a completely secular rationale against abortion. I am personally a Catholic, but I wrote this to appeal to the minds of our pro-life medical students of any background.
