Public funded abortions in DC a done deal
Yesterday the US Senate voted 57-35 to pass the omnibus appropriations bill, which included a change to longstanding abortion policy to allow public funding for abortion in the District of Columbia.
Having passed previously in the House, the bill will now go to President Obama for his signature, and he’s the one who originally pitched the suggestion to Congress back in May. So it’s a done deal.
Republicans, led by Sens. McCain and DeMint, attempted to use procedural moves to block passage but were outgunned. In all, there were 3 important votes to get to the point of passage. They and vote breakdowns are listed on page 2.
Legislators, from Obama down, who feign calls for moderation on abortion, are such despicable liars.
And don’t forget 41% of all pregnancies in DC already end in abortion, and Sen. Dick Durbin stated in July he thought the rate of abortions in DC ias high because the number of African-Americans in DC is high.
These people know they are pushing black genocide.
3 key votes….
1. On Saturday, the Senate voted 60-36 to waive a point of order raised against the bill. The point of order was raised by Senator McCain and supported by Senator DeMint who sent a letter to Majority Leader Reid promising to use procedural votes to impede passage of the omnibus if it contained abortion funding. Senator Inouye then offered a motion to waive the point of order and the vote was on the Inouye motion. Sixty votes are necessary to waive the point of order. The vote breakdown was as follows:
60 Voting to waive the point of order
55 Democrats
2 Independents (Lieberman and Sanders)
3 Republicans (Bond, Cochran and Collins)
36 Voting against waiving the point of order
3 Democrats (Bayh, Feingold and McCaskill)
33 Republicans
Absent
4 Republicans (Bunning, Burr, Coburn, Hutchison)
2. On Sunday the Senate voted 60-34 to end debate on the omnibus. This motion also required 60 vote threshold. The breakdown was as follows:
60 Voting to waive the point of order
55 Democrats
2 Independents (Lieberman and Sanders)
3 Republicans (Cochran, Collins and Shelby)
36 Voting against waiving the point of order
3 Democrats (Bayh, Feingold and McCaskill)
33 Republicans
Absent
6 Republicans (Bond, Bunning, Coburn, DeMint, Graham, Lugar)
3. On Sunday the Senate voted 57-35 to pass the omnibus.
57 Voting to waive the point of order
52 Democrats
2 Independents (Lieberman and Sanders)
3 Republicans (Cochran, Collins and Shelby)
36 Voting against waiving the point of order
3 Democrats (Bayh, Feingold and McCaskill)
33 Republicans
Absent
3 Democrats (Dorgan, Merkley and Murray)
6 Republicans (Bond, Bunning, Coburn, Inhofe, Voinovich)

We’re dealing with the same thing in Austin. Amazingly, there are still idiots saying “don’t like abortion, don’t have one!” in a thread about the fact that the taxpayers of Travis county are forced to pay half a million dollars a year for some women to kill their children.
You can’t have it both ways, pro-abortionists.
“The Lord is my strength and my shield; in him my heart trusts; so I am helped, and my heart exults, and with my song I give thanks to him.” -Psalm 28:7
I knew there was a reason I have had this passage running through my head for the last day and a half. The Lord is my shield.
Lord, we put our trust in you. We ask that you guide us, and our leaders, in your Truth. Please show us the way, Lord. We turn to you for direction, knowing that you provide for all.
Please, Lord, show us the way.
Thy Kingdom come, Thy Will be done, on Earth as it is in Heaven.
I am so furious I don’t know what to write.
I utterly despise and detest these promoters of child-killing.
My Senators, Levin and Stabenow, are absolutely worthless.
We’ve got to wait two more years before we can throw out Stabenow.
Lord, I pray that you would either birth them into your Kingdom so they can aquire some sense or move them out of office.
Now we going to use tax dollars to kill 41% of our future taxpaying base. We are going to kill off our only hope of underwriting the enormous debt these idiots continue to rack up.
It’s like using the power generated by an engine (in this case, an economic engine) to destroy the engine.
Idiots.
Wow. As if it’s not bad enough that this horrible atrocity is legal.
Now they’re going to use my tax dollars to fund it???
We really need to throw these bums out of office.
Amen, MaryRose. Thank you for that.
Too bad all tax-payers who are against using tax dollars to fund child-killing can’t just REFUSE to pay taxes until they stop the killing.
So sad. God help this country. Thank you, Mary Rose, In God we trust.
Jill,
If Obama was the one that pitched the idea in the first place, and as you stated, “These people know they are pushing black genocide”, do you really feel that Obama, being 1/2 African American himself, is pushing to wipe out his own race? It doesn’t make sense to me, but I’m probably missing something. help?

It doesn’t make sense because it isn’t “black genocide.” There are millions of African American babies born every year. You can argue it’s immoral, you can argue it should be illegal, but you can’t argue it’s genocide.
Hal,
Thanks. I appreciate your response. I was just reading all of the responses on the weekend question thread TO YOU! Wow, you’re popular on that thread! Good stuff, too!
Getting back to this post, Jill tends to always be able to back up her statements, so I am very curious as to what her response will be. So far, though, I’m in agreement with you on this one, Hal.
Marie, Margaret Sanger targeted black clergy to push contraception. She was a eugenist who believed in the mantra “more from the fit, less from the unfit.”
Sadly, this has continued to this day. Abortion clinics set up shop in minority communities, preachers still push contraception and even abortion, and as a result a disproportionate number of black women have abortions.
“Legislators, from Obama down, who feign calls for moderation on abortion, are such despicable liars.”
Yup, they’re a shameless group.
Lauren,
So based on your post, I’ll ask you the same thing I asked Jill: Do you feel that Obama is pushing black genocide (wiping out his own race) and knows it?
And please note: According to the Encarta Dictionary, the definition of genocide is “the systematic killing of all the people from a national, ethnic, or religious group, or an attempt to do this.”
Thanks in advance.
I don’t think Obama has a freaking clue what he’s doing about anything. I think he supports planned parenthood because it’s the good liberal thing to do. I doubt he’s ever even read what Margaret Sanger had to say about “exterminating the negro race.”
I’d probably place him in the useful idiot camp, but who knows, he could be fully aware of the agenda and support it.
Thanks Marie. I was a bit surprised by the response on the other thread. Hard to be snarky to people trying so hard to save me. We had this genocide discussion some months back, never reached common ground. No surprise there. I think both the left and the right have some buzz words they like to throw around. Holocaust, genocide, personhood, seem to push the buttons of the Left. Choice, reproductive rights, and Obama seem to enrage the Right.
Hal: “Choice, reproductive rights, and Obama seem to enrage the Right.”
Nah, we got more enraged when people call us things like “Taliban” or “nazis.” I mean, as long as you are fairly equating our response to the Left’s response to phrases like “genocide.”
Oliver, that’s probably a better analogy.
Lauren, what funds are they trying to use to pay for women to kill their babies in Austin? The Hyde amendment is still in place and prevents the use of federal dollars to commit these killings.
I can’t speak for the issue exactly, but I THINK it is property tax.
No surprise that it was Senators McCain and DeMint that tried to stop this. McCain was not the best Presidential candidate, but he’s solidly pro life, and no way would we have this uncontrolled spending going on if he had won.
The fiscal irresponsibility of Democrats (and a few Republicans) is breathtaking.
Property tax to fund abortion…so it is likely the county board that is using their property taxes to makes abortions free at county hospitals…they won’t get away with that for long….. Time to change the county board..get rid of abortion funding, and lower the property taxes. Obama’s idea. We have the king of abortion supporters for president. He is the WORST.
The most glaring lie in this whloe thing is that Obama claimed transparency. The #2 Democrat in the Senate Durbin claims he has no idea what is in the Health Care in it’s current form that is at the Congressional Budget Office for review. They won’t allow debate or respond to any of the competitive option alternatives that are being presented.
And they want it rushed through because as people see what is in it they are mad as hell. I just heard about a marriage penalty where married couples making 56k or more are excluded from even getting any govt. option due to a cap. And their private insurance rates would skyrocket and they would be hit with huge government fines and prison if they can’t afford it.
Hal:
Supposedley you’re a lawyer. Does not about half of what you supposedley do involve the meaning of words?
What’s being done to the black RACE via legalized abortion is EXACTLY genocide.
So, to refresh your English 101 liberal arts course here’s the definition of genocide:
gen·o·cide (j?n’?-s?d’)
n. The systematic and widespread extermination or attempted extermination of an entire national, racial, religious, or ethnic group.
[Greek genos, race; see gen?- in Indo-European roots + -cide.]
gen’o·cid’al (-s?d’l) adj., gen’o·cid’al·ly adv.
I also assume you took some math courses in college like algebra or perhaps even Calculus I. Assuming the answer is “yes”, tell me how many blacks would be living in the country today based on this formula where:
x = the number of blacks living in the US currently.
a = the number of blacks living in the US in 1973.
b = the number of black deaths due to natural or other causes other than abortion in the US since 1973 (expressed as a negative number).
c = the number of black births in the US since 1973.
d = the number of blacks murdered by legalized abortion in the US since 1973, so that…
x = a + b + c + d……QED.
Now tell me Hal, what would happen to x if d were ZERO? Would not x be a whole lot bigger Hal or did you flunk math and that’s why you became an abortion hack lawyer?
Or, projecting into the future Hal,
if dx/dt = da/dt + db/dt + dc/dt + dd/dt or the rates of the above expressed at integrals in a given period of time.
Now any mathemetician or scientist will tell you Hal that eventually if dd/dt gets large enough you end up with dx/dt equalling ZERO or no more blacks. In fact, dd/dt is actually a way to modulate or control dx/dt.
So don’t you dare tell me that black abortion is not black genocide, counselor!
The founder of Banned Parenthood was a racist eugenicist. She HATED Blacks especially. She even spoke at a KKK woman’s conference (not sure what it was called).
She even talked of getting “colored ministers”.
Is it just a coincidence that abortion mills are almost always located in poorer parts of cities? And don’t feed my a line of baloney that poor people need the services. Many of these poor are black or other minorities like hispanic.
Banned Parenthood targets these groups specifically because they don’t like them.
On blacks, immigrants and indigents:
“…human weeds,’ ‘reckless breeders,’ ‘spawning… human beings who never should have been born.” Margaret Sanger, Pivot of Civilization, referring to immigrants and poor people
On the rights of the handicapped and mentally ill, and racial minorities:
“More children from the fit, less from the unfit — that is the chief aim of birth control.” Birth Control Review, May 1919, p. 12
On the extermination of blacks:
“We do not want word to go out that we want to exterminate the Negro population,” she said, “if it ever occurs to any of their more rebellious members.” Woman’s Body, Woman’s Right: A Social History of Birth Control in America, by Linda Gordon
Oh Phil, you don’t know how happy it makes me to see someone using implicit differentiation on a pro life blog! God love you, brother!
Bobby, the problem is not with his math, but his assumptions.
You can’t assume that every abortion is one less person in the world. Studies have shown that legal abortion delays the onset of parenthood generally but does not greatly reduce the total number of children a woman has in her lifetime.
Here’s some numbers: 41.1 million
As of July 1, 2008, the estimated population of black residents in the United States, including those of more than one race. They made up 13.5 percent of the total U.S. population. This figure represents an *increase* of more than half a million residents from one year earlier.
So, despite what Phil is trying so hard to explain, the African American population is growing, not heading to “zero.”
As for Obama’s support for Planned Parenthood and Black Genocide: there are Jewish Senators and Representatives at the State and Federal levels who mindlessly support the same Margaret Sanger/Nazi Eugenics that Planned Parenthood is rooted in. Stupidity can be found in every race and religion. Eugenics can’t stomp it out. Why? Because eugenics IS STUPIDITY!

Totally not true.
Based on the fertility of the entire population of Finnland, as well as statistics from every study that has investigated abortion and total fertility, women who have ever had an abortion have fewer children on average than women who have never had an abortion.
As for the black population, all of the growth in the black population is from immigration. Blacks whose grandparents were born in the USA have a total fertility rate below 2.1.
Interestingly the group with the highest fertility are men who only have one partner in their lifetime.

While you may find eugenics distasteful for PC reasons, it is not stupid. Take for example the Duggar family. That is eugenics, albeit a natural version. They are healthy people apparently with genes for high conscientiousness, intelligence, agreeableness and conformity who have a bunch of kids thereby supplying society with productive people in the next generation. That is eugenic defined simply not politically.
Likewise incarcerating criminals has a eugenic effect because they tend to have genes for aggressiveness, impulsiveness, criminality (duh) and low intelligence etc. which they can’t pass on while incarcerated. The eugenic effect is incidental but not insignificant.
Thanks Bobby.
Godspeed on the job hunt. I know He has exactly the right place for you, Trust.
It totally is true. Most patients are either already mothers or become mothers down the road. It’s a fact. I fail to understand why the anti-abortion side interprets women getting abortions as women who will never be mothers. I think over 50% of current patients ARE mothers.
The percentage of Americans who are Black has grown in the last 20 years, from roughly 11% to 13%. You might as well call abortion the attempted genocide of every race. Except…all races have grown in numbers in the US in the last 20 years. Increases all around. SO drop the argument. The facts have defeated it.
Abortion is not about genocide. It plays a role in family planning and promoting healthier, planned babies. It is largely about spacing. And look at the report that was published yesterday.
We have the king of abortion supporters for president.
If that were true, he would have lobbied a new federal law in the wake of Tiller’s murder. Obama has run away from the abortion issue pretty quick. Clinton was a far stronger champion. He got a major law passed in 1994 if you recall, after two doctors were gunned down within a few months.
