Quote of the Day 1-30-10
… [H]e could just as easily become some kind of a rapist pedophile.
~ The View co-host Joy Behar explaining “[t]he only argument” against CBS airing an ad during the Super Bowl featuring Tim and Pam Tebow telling her story of being counseled to abort Tim, who grew to become a Heisman Trophy winner, during a life-threatening pregnancy and choosing not to, as quoted by Newsbusters.
Here’s the clip…

I’m speechless… this woman needs to close her mouth.
Well, quite frankly, is she not right? I mean, would somebody air the same commercial with Michael Vick, another football player, if there were similar birth circumstances?
My God…
Hey Joy,
How about this for an even more enlightening example of your ‘feminista’ doctrine:
If B.O.’s biological mom was still alive and it was she and B.O. doing the commercial, would these same mindless liberal feminista lasses still be cying foul?
[The ‘l’ in lasses was not an addition that was the result of ‘fat fingering’ a key, though the desription would still be completely accurate.]
What if B.O. and his mom were advocating the continued de-criminalization of pre-natal homicide and B.O.’s mom said,
“My son could just as easily turned out to be a bummbling buffoon like Jimmy Carter, but I made my ‘CHOICE’ to birth the boy anyway.”

Ex,
The question is not whether you would be better off dead or alive, according to how good or bad you are. The question is whether anyone should have the power to take that decision away from somebody else.
How totally ignorant, tasteless and shameful.
I suppose there are women who admire Joy for one reason or another or she wouldn’t be on TV. I pray that one day Joy realizes how many abortions she has possibly enabled (if that’s the right word) by her flippant comments.
Some things shouldn’t be joked about.
it’s my understanding that she has had a few herself, Janet. She’s a sad woman.
If women who’ve had abortions made two lists – one, how abortion has made my life easier/better, and two, how abortion has made my life more difficult/worse – I wonder which list would be the longest. If they could make the choice over, would it be the same one or not?
I saw a comment on the newsbusters page that summed it up quite well:
Behar is too daft to consider that while it is logically and morally correct to refrain from killing someone because they might grow up to do great things, it is illogical and unacceptable to kill someone because they might grow up to commit evil.
