Breaking, Planned Parenthood’s new rule: All affiliates must commit abortions
7:15p: Pro-abort Abortioneers made a good point on Twitter:
solid prochoice info: “PP will require all affiliates to provide abortion” doesn’t mean all CLINICS. affiliate = regional grouping.
9:57a: A story in Corpus Christi’s Caller.com yesterday about a Planned Parenthood breaking ties with the national organization dropped an abortion bomb:
The local chapter of Planned Parenthood will drop its affiliation with the national organization and take a new name beginning Jan. 1.
Clients shouldn’t notice any changes in prices or services other than the office changing its name to Family Planning of the Coastal Bend, CEO Amanda Stukenberg said.
Planned Parenthood wanted to standardize its operations at all of its agencies nationwide, Stukenberg said.
That included a new requirement for all affiliates to perform abortions, something the Coastal Bend office didn’t see as necessary because of abortion services offered by local doctors, Stukenberg said.
“We have never provided abortions,” she said. “Our position is that if that is a need in your community, fine. There are far greater needs in our area than abortion. We feel that women here have options. We don’t need to duplicate services.”
It’s unclear how many Planned Parenthood affiliates are following the local chapter’s lead. National officials couldn’t be reached for comment Monday.
There’s no reason to think the affiliate misunderstood PP’s mandate, or else the separation would not have gotten this far.
This news has major ramifications across the United States.
RU486 medical abortions will skyrocket, for starters, particularly in PP locations not zoned for in- or out-patient surgery, and along with them webcam (telemed) abortions – if those aren’t stopped on the state or federal level.
All nonaborting PPs previously considered “feeders” will now become stopping places.
I imagine that inside the industry, abortion wars are breaking out even as I type, as PP makes a major power play to wipe out independent abortion mills.
This is huge, devastating for babies. Statistics bear out that the more abortion mills there are, the more abortions there are.

We just sent out our December Nebraska Right to Life Newsletter with an action alert to grassroots to Stop PP’s Web Cam Chemical Abortions Before They Start In Nebraska through NRLC model legislation drafted to address our Nebraska statutes. As PP Heartland has done over 1500 of these at 16 sites across Iowa since 2008 we see a very real threat of it happening in Nebraska where PP would love to get access to all of our rural areas in a State that takes 9 hours to cross from East to West. Web Cam abortions in addition to their newly “improved and expanded” abortuaries are the wave of the future for PP. They appear to have found a way around one of their biggest obstacles: access and lack of abortionists willing to do surgical abortions.
Planned Parenthood cares so much about women’s health, they’ll un-affiliate any clinic that focuses on needed women’s health services instead of abortion.
Typical.
All the more reason to defund PP
Well I guess we knew their true agenda all along. Definitely not to make abortion “few and rare” or in the “cases of rape and incest” .
Wow, this is huge.
We have a PP where I live – an unassuming, tiny facility with a “no trespassing” sign outside it.
I will have to keep my eyes and ears peeled about this.
As I have said before they are “Planned Peoplekillers”. They are not about planning anything but as many pregnant girls & women,(upon which to feed) as they can push through their doors or into their web-Pyxis stations, etc. They are the “V”, & their lizard skin is being exposed.
banned parenthood strikes again…its not about the so called “rare” its about as much as we can……they want to destroy the human race from its tiniest beginnings.
Tell your state representatives to abort Planned Parenthood.
Must do abortions- especially in minority neighborhoods- Watch Maafa21 http://www.maafa21.com
Rebecca, I love a good Sci Fi reference!
The Cylons were more humane than Planned Parenthood. Heck, even the Borg won’t kill you if you walk carefully among them. Lol!
Tell your state representatives to abort Planned Parenthood.
Sorry Chris, in the enlightened and diverse liberal states, Planned Parenthood is a respected organization that won’t be “aborted.” And women from the less than enlightened states will still be welcome in those states that respect choice. Hmmm, when abortion is criminalized in bible states, will all women of child bearing age, who travel out of the states, be obligated to carry a certificate that says that they are not pregnant.
Just joking – but if you really want to stop women, in the anti-choice states, from having abortions, you do have to think about those who travel.
Murder is enlightened and diverse?
DD, how many young ladies did you lead to the slaughter last weekend? You must be so disappointed not to be able to wear your little vest this coming Saturday.
There is no doubt in my mind that Amanda Stukenberg would have kept the Planned Parenthood affiliation and started full swing with chemical and medical abortions IF she thought she could get away with it. Amanda Stukenberg is well aware of local opposition to abortion and Planned Parenthood’s practices targeting kids. We will be watching her new venture closely.
More than 5,000 South Texans have signed a petition in opposition to government funding of Planned Parenthood. Hundreds of citizens have faithfully attended public meetings demanding de-funding of Planned Parenthood of South Texas. Concerned parents have met with the Superintendent’s of local school districts exposing Planned Parenthood’s dangerous marketing strategies and sex ed aimed at kids on the school grounds.
With one part-time abortion clinic in operation in Corpus Christi, Amanda Stukenberg’s decision NOT TO GO THERE on abortions and drop the Planned Parenthood affiliation is not about “duplication of services” as she says. Amanda Stukenberg knows that there would be consistent prayer vigils at her clinics, tremendous public opposition and constant media pressure if she added abortion to her list of services.
I thought that abortion supporters wanted abortions safe, legal and RARE.
With health care paying for them, and PP offering abortion in every affiliate, I guess not.
oh and DD – abortion is offered in every state, and yet people come from surrounding states to Illinois.
have met people from over 6 hours driving distance – because they laws are not enforced here… From 2 hours away like from Peoria/Springfield/eastern Indiana, 4+ hours away in southern Illinois (they told that couple there was no abortion provider in down state… the accurate statement was that there was no Planned Parenthood abortion provider in down state) and from 4-6+ hours away in Kentucky.
It’s not a question of availability – it’s a question of ‘without’ – without waiting periods, without parental notification, without thinking about what is happening, without delay so there is no going back.
They just want it done – and unfortunately they do not really want to think about it at all. They just might have a change of heart.
NJ Planned Parenthood boosters still won’t give up on public funding…
The bulk of this money will be directed at Planned Parenthood clinics. And it is the official policy of the National Planned Parenthood organization that all affiliated clinics must perform abortions. Must….
