Commenter nails Maher on pro-abortion stance
If she had aborted that retard baby of hers this would never have happened, right? She’d be Maher’s hero.
~ Commenter evilbeetdouche, skewering comedian Bill Maher’s on his latest reference to Sarah Palin, Zelda Lily, March 29

Looks like the somewhat grammatically-challenged evilbeetdouche isn’t necessarily liberal, to me. The post appears to be pointing the finger at Maher for being in favor of legal abortion.
What an ugly comment about a beautiful child.
Doug, I think the commenter was saying that she should have aborted and then she her life would be a lot easier, with no (or at least fewer) attacks from the liberals. I don’t think they are condemning Maher for being in favor of abortion.
Jen, there are different ways to take it, certainly. Seems to me the post was saying that had Sarah Palin had an abortion, rather than give birth to Trig, that then “she’d be Maher’s hero.”
From that, hard for me to see the poster as a “liberal.”
If the poster really was saying, in effect, “she should have had an abortion,” then why the comment about Maher? It has to include some sarcasm, IMO.
How telling… This person is saying “Well, if Palin wanted to be accepted more, she should have murdered her child”…..
Doesn’t leave much doubt about their humanity, does it?
No doubt about that, mama3.
It is pure hatred.
This is pretty dishonest. That’s the comment of a snarky conservative trying to take a shot at Bill Maher, not a liberal.
I doubt this commenter actually thinks of Trig Palin as a “retard,” but assumes that Maher and others like him do, which is why he/she used that term.
I can’t believe I’m actually saying this, but joan is right. This comment was not written by someone who shares Maher’s beliefs.
Yes, the comment is a dig at Maher for being pro-abortion. If Palin had aborted, in this person’s opinion, Maher would love her.
They live on the surface and miss the meat of life. :(
I don’t like Sarah Palin, but that baby is ah-dorable. :)
And I think that the comment was supposed to be sarcastic, but I’d have to see it in context. And I know very little (if anything) about Bill Maher so that didn’t help me.
I also think that feminists should be allowed to draw their own conclusions and not simply rush to the aid of any and all women simply by virtue of the fact that they happen to be women.
Ah, that’s what endeared me to made me run screaming from the feminists: Some women are more equal than other women.
Bill Maher is a monstrous creature who seems to hate everything that is good. Apparently that makes him a “comedian”. I think it goes without saying that if Sarah Palin had killed not just Trig, but all of her kids, and advocated for other women to kill their kids, too, that Maher would love her.
I find the reaction of some of the people on the linked blog interesting. One of them said something like, Sarah Palin should expect to be called the T word, since she’s playing with the “big boys”. I can only imagine how that person would react to someone calling Obama the N word. Somehow I don’t think they would say anything about how Obama needs to “man up” and be a “big boy”.
Bill Maher is great. I doubt he’d be much of fan of half-term governor Palin even if she were pro choice.
Hal, you are an odd one. Sometimes your statements are in such respectfully good taste and then when they aren’t they sound like this. I’d think you more intellectually sound than to hero-worship one such as Maher, but I shouldn’t, considering your love of our head of state.
For sake of argument, let’s say that Sarah Palin was actually a pro-abortion Democrat leader who was elected governor of Alaska on a platform that she didn’t want anyone punished with a baby. Then let’s say that she was endlessly harassed by pro-life activists, who filed endless ridiculous lawsuits against her that became so excessive that it made it nearly impossible for her to effectively do her job as governor, so for the good of the state, she resigned from her position.
If those things happened, Sarah Palin would be regarded as a Democratic Martyr and Demi-god(dess). The Democrats would probably be carrying signs during their protests with slogans like “Remember Sarah!” on them. We would be hearing constantly about how the “extreme!”, “anti-woman!” conservatives drove the beautiful, wonderful Gov. Palin from office through their ”anti-democratic!”, “terrorist!” acts.
Instead, SOLELY because Sarah Palin is actually a pro-life Republican, the Democrats carry signs calling her the C word and the T word.
Remember when Republican VP Dan Quayle supposedly spelled the word “potato” with an extra “e” on the end? He was branded as an idiot for the rest of his days. Even now, if you ask someone about Dan Quayle, the first thing likely to pop into their heads is that he’s that idiot who can’t spell potato. Meanwhile, the current VP can’t even count to four, and nobody has made anything of that. Why not? Because Joe ”J-O-B-S has three letters” Biden has a “D” after his name. So don’t try to tell me that it has nothing to do with political parties. It has EVERYTHING to do with political parties and ideology.

Sarah Palin is a charlatan who speaks entirely in talking points and has never demonstrated anything but the most superficial grasp of political issues. This would be the case whether she’s a Republican or Democrat.
And Barack Hussein Obama is a pretender who has trouble whenever he goes off teleprompter, but you adore him because he’s pro-abortion. If Sarah Palin were pro-abortion, you would adore her too. But if you want to play pretend, you’re free to do so.

Kettle? You’re black! ;)
MaryRose, you took the comment right out of my mouth! Lol!
Great minds, ninek :)
or is that ’empty vessels’? ;-)
The proof is in the pudding, or in the Congress, rather. Congress is full of people who appear to have an intelligence level that is somewhere between a brick wall and pond scum, and yet they enjoy the complete support of Emily’s List, NARAL, and all of the rest of the pro-abortion organizations and their acolytes (our friends here) as long as they keep on voting for abortion.
Consider the case of Rep. Hank Johnson, who has a 100% rating from NARAL. Last March, Rep. Johnson expressed concern about sending too many troops to Guam. Why was he concerned? Because sending too many troops might be seen as an act of aggression? No. Because the troops would be needed elsewhere? No. He was concerned because he thought that if too many people were on Guam all at the same time, the island might capsize. But don’t worry, Hank – just keep on voting pro-abort and nobody will talk about that.
At least we’re away from the erroneous “What Liberals think of Trig” to “What Conservatives think of Trig…”
Only thing that matters is that God and Sarah thought of Trig!

So, the original title of this thread was BS anyway, eh? Heh….
