The Planned Parenthood sinking ship one confuses me. When has Planned Parenthood helped children… EVER? Why would defunding them hurt children? Just the opposite is true. Keep funding them and more children will be killed.

The old standard of rescuing ’women and children first’, should be changed to reflect pp’s real attitude toward children, particularly non-caucasian children, and non-liberal/feminista females.
PP’s default reaction to any unwelcome news is ’jettison’ the women and children first. Then after a café latté and trip to the spa for a mani and a pedi assess the situation.
You know the way b o threw his maternal grandmother under his campaign bus at the first opportunity.
Or the way ppfa disposed of the manager caught red handed facilitating child prostitution and advising a pimp how to optimize his profits by finding creative ways to keep his teenage girls available for business while they were recovering from their forced abortion or treatment of STD’s.

The irony of Tony Auth’s take on the S.S. United States is that no society or nation in recorded history has ever shown more regard for the welfare of women and children than the United States of America. And it is precisely for the welfare of women and children that we desire to defund PP and ultimately to end the pernicious practice of abortion.
Speaking of irony Tony Auth himself was the beneficiary of a non-abortive mother. That he can now opine that other babies should be denied the precious gift he was given is so typical the intellectually dishonest drivel that comes from pro-aborts.
The ‘rats’ are usually first to desert the sinking ship.
Vermin do have prime directive for self preservation, but they would proably jettison the women and children before they took the leap themselves.
Sydney, it seems to me that Auth’s argument is that women are represented by Planned Parenthood and children are represented by Education. So the GOP is trying to destroy Planned Parenthood so that means they are KILLING WOMEN, and the GOP is apparently against education (I don’t remember reading that in the GOP platform, but whatev) so that means they are KILLING CHILDREN.
It doesn’t have to make sense; liberal political cartoons rarely do. Usually they’re insane ad hominem attacks designed to whip up the left into a frenzy.
Look at some of Auth’s other “work” and you’ll see how nutty the guy is. His previous cartoon showed Abraham Lincoln applauding Obama’s recent attack on the Defense of Marriage Act, as if slavery and gay marriage and preserving the Union have anything to do with each other. He might as well have had Honest Abe applauding for raising taxes on “the rich”, or limiting school choice. Hey, maybe I’ll draw a cartoon of George Washington arbitrarily applauding Sarah Palin! Will the Philly Inquirer print it?
Auth is also a notorious anti-Catholic bigot. Take a look at this nonsense:
