In 1986, new singing superstar Madonna addresses teen pregnancy with
her song ”Papa Don’t Preach.” (Where did the time go?)

Countless families have started this way: a teen girl “in trouble” and a shotgun marriage. Is this a good thing or a bad thing?
Denise, have to wait and see, I think.
I was 7 years old when this came out, and I vaguely remember it. I enjoyed seeing it again and understanding it. Excellent message. Young families can survive if they have a good support system. Sadly I have personally seen parents discouraging their kids from getting married when they are “in trouble” instead of helping them step into adulthood.
This song is nice but in fact Madonna didn’t “keep the baby”. She had 11 abortions. She admitted it publicly in an interview: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QN3Vg9Pg6vs

Nowhere in this video does she state that she had 11 abortions. She said “several.”
yes Kelly is correct. Madonna. killed. eleven. of. her kids. 8i
I don’t know how many, but if there is nothing wrong with abortion, why would someone refuse to answer that question? She EXERCISED her EMPOWERING RIGHT to CHOOSE! Shouldn’t she be proud?
Jacqueline – yep. That’s proof she’s not proud of it. And that’s saying something… After all, Madonna is no angel. Shell talk about her sex life and publish incredibly risqué stuff, so why be ashamed of the fruits (or rather destroyed fruits) of your sexual exploits?
