Lunch Break: Remembering 9/11/01
by LauraLoo
Replaying last year’s video taken from a high rise near the collapse of the World Trade Center towers. A unique perspective from a family who felt it was important to document what happened that tragic day in U.S. history.
1) The name of God is said multiple times due to the disturbing events of the day.
2) This video is not suitable for children to watch due to the physical, verbal and emotional distresses of the day.

10 years later it all comes back to you like it was yesterday. I pray for everyone’s safety during the memorials this weekend. God protect us.
This is what happens when a personal belief is taken to the very extreme. Muslim, Christian, Atheist, Hindu, or Buddhist no set of beliefs can justify acts of terrorism.
To the families of the victims and the terrorists, I hope we can all find a bit more peace in our lives in the future.
To the victims themselves, we have missed you every single day of the past 10 years and on 9/12/2011 we will continue miss you.
Muslim jihadists continue to seek to destroy everything Christian/American.
Crazy police presence this weekend. I’m in Times Square all day every day until my day off on Tuesday, and there are police and police dogs all over the place. I stayed out of town and took a commuter train in from 90 minutes north of NYC this morning, and they had MTA police on the platform even up there, checking the bags of everyone boarding that train.
This anniversary is a more difficult one. I lost quite a few people. I prefer not to think much about the details of what they went through. My childhood friend was just profiled on ESPN for his heroism – it was difficult for me to watch but I did like that it had as positive a message about his life as he deserves: espn.go.com/video/clip?id=6929979
I’m sorry for your personal losses Alexandra. 9/11 is such a sad day in history, so easy to cry after watching the attack footage and thinking about all the human suffering. We all became New Yorkers that day. LL
I’m am sorry too, Alexandra.
We will never forget.
