Planned Parenthood and Barack Obama both responsible for death of Tonya Reaves
Over the weekend the mainstream media was surprisingly forthcoming in reporting the tragic death of a mother following her second trimester abortion at a Chicago Planned Parenthood, revealing her name, age, and the name of her surviving son. Also sad was news that she had an identical twin. From CBS Chicago:
Tonya Reaves, 24, died late Friday night from a hemorrhage, with a cervical dilation and evacuation, as well as an intrauterine pregnancy as contributing causes, according to the medical examiner’s office.
She died after she’d had an abortion at Planned Parenthood at 18 S. Michigan Av, according to the medical examiner’s office.
Her death was ruled an accident, but the Reaves family wants to know more, especially Tonya’s twin sister Toni.
“We were born the same day. She was my other half,” Toni said….
Toni Reaves said her sister was engaged to be married and had one son – Alvin – who just had his first birthday.
The Daily Mail went so far as to (sort of) describe the type of abortion procedure Reaves underwent:
A dilation and evacuation procedure usually takes place during the second trimester of a pregnancy and involves the removal of tissue from the uterus using various devices.
Was Reaves a victim?
It must be said that most aborting mothers know they are murdering their babies, particularly those like Reaves who had already borne a child.
But giving Reaves the benefit of the doubt, there were many contributing factors that led to her death aside from the obvious, none of which were her fault.
Reaves was a victim in the sense she was lulled by liberals into thinking the abortion procedure is not dangerous. She was the victim of a state that regulates nail salons more than abortion mills. She was the victim of a black culture that has completely lost any sense of sexual morality and healthy family structure, with 72% of black children now born out of wedlock, up from 24% at the beginning of the sexual revolution in the 1960s. Reaves was likely a victim of comprehensive sexual education that gives a false sense of trust in contraceptives. Reaves may have also been a victim of “counseling” that told her the fully formed baby inside her was a blob of tissue.
Barack Obama’s protection of Planned Parenthood
And then there is Barack Obama, who inexcusably continues to herald, protect, and fund Planned Parenthood in the face of the worst revelations about its underbelly in its 96 year history.
We now know Planned Parenthood will freely commit sex-selection abortions, race-based abortions, and clandestine underage abortions. It will aid and abet sex traffickers. It will commit Medicaid fraud. It gives women false and/or incomplete information about developing children and the abortion procedure. It dispenses RU486 contrary to FDA guidelines. On and on.
People ask me all the time why I think Obama is so loyal to Planned Parenthood.
And I used to say it was some sort of combination of ideology and politics.
But as more evidence indicting Planned Parenthood mounts, along with increasing attempts by various states to defund it, the more I think Obama’s ties to the abortion giant extend beyond the obvious.
It is hard to get inside the head of a man who is such a fanatic he thinks infanticide should be legal if it would otherwise hinder abortion. Suffice it to say Obama is a 110% ideologue.
And it is true that one of Obama’s staunchest political allies in terms of campaign donations and getting out the vote is the abortion industry.
But at some point, as evidence against Planned Parenthood reaches the tipping point, it would make political sense for Obama to back away.
Yet it seems that Obama’s support of PP only grows more resolute. As recently as this month Obama promoted Planned Parenthood in a campaign ad…

It seems to me there is something more to the relationship between Obama and Planned Parenthood than meets the eye. Mark my words.
It is ironic that Tonya Reaves was killed at a Planned Parenthood in Barack Obama’s backyard. His propping of Planned Parenthood to such an extraordinary extent in his position as president definitely qualifies him as an enabler. Both legislators and the press should be calling him out.
Obama was the first candidate to be endorsed by Planned Parenthood in any Presidential race, and this was done prior to Clinton dropping out of the race. I’ve always been suspicious of the Planned Parenthood/Obama relationship.

Obama said to hug their child. Obama, has been said to be the most extreem pro abortion president in American history. During a presidential campaign town meeting, Obama stated very clearly that if his daughter made a mistake and got pregnant why should she be punished with a baby. Gee I guess Obama thinks of his grandchild who never were a mistake and a punishment. Could he hug an aborted baby?
grandchild of her unwanted pregnancies a “‘mistake and a punishment.

It’s been suggested that Obama’s father impregnated an exchange student while at Harvard and sent her to England for an abortion (abortions were still illegal here in the US):

Could Obama and Michelle have had an abortion prior to his daughters being born? That spirit of denial (and murder) can run pretty deep when it’s a personal or family issue …

Abortion is NOT SAFE!
It also could be that beccause her first child had just turned one, she panicked and was probably manipulated into the abortion….probably a counselor sayiong something like ‘you don’t want another child so close to the first one.’ She was engaged, so the fatherless angle doesn’t work, at least I don’t think so.
And of course they call it an “accident”….they don’t want to admit the TRUTH that ABORTION IS NOT SAFE!

Intrauterine pregnancy as a contributing cause? Sounds like Tonya just became a “pregnancy kills women” statistic that the pro-aborts will use to say abortion is safe.

The Washington Post recently reported that black women are the most religious group in the country, but yet we have such a high out of wedlock birth rate and the highest abortion rate in the country. This just doesn’t make sense. I don’t understand this, and the black churches generally don’t talk about it.
I think many Christians, not just blacks folks, are very selective as to what they find “right” and “wrong.” I once had a client who had six children. I innocently asked her if they were going trick or treating. She was Jehovah’s Witness ad she acted as if I said “are you going to sacrifice to Moloch tonight?” She went on about the evils of Halloween, said that it glorified the devil, etc. I just listened politely, but glancing at my notes I learned that these six children were by three different men, and she had never been married.
I may not go to church regularly and give out candy to trick or treaters, but I had ONE pregnancy, resulting in ONE child, by ONE man — my husband (we’re no longer married, but I did stick it out for twenty years).

phyllismiss, much of why Christian women have abortions is the result of how they are treated by fellow Christians.
When sick in the head people who call themselves Christians quit trying to shame women who have sex out of wedlock, then things might change a little.
The problem is most Christians are about shame.

@Steve — I wasn’t talking about shaming pregnant women. Remember I used to volunteer at a CPC. I was just saying that to many in the black community, having out of wedlock children is normal. The black ministers will preach until they’re out of breath about the evil Republicans, etc., but nothing is said about this issue, which is having a huge negative impact on the community.

There is far more nuance in the polling data than you want to admit. The reality is that the majority of Americans support abortion in limited circumstances.
And as far as an abortion death – there are also deaths connected with childbirth. There are few fewer deaths from legal abortions than there were from illegal abortions -but those gals got what they deserved, right?
And word to “Steve” – pregnancy has risks.
And BTW, Huffington Post – hardly conservative – has this report.

JDC – though to be fair, the majority of people in the poll said they want abortion legal in at least some cases, and the few polls out there on “should r v wade be overturned” come back strongly that it shouldn’t…so America is like a room full of married people who say a person shouldn’t cheat on their spouse that then goes out and has affairs.
Or maybe people don’t understand what pro-life means.

And BTW, how is Barack Obama responsible for this woman’s death? But it’s nice to know that Ms. Stanek is accusing this woman of being a murderer. And nice to know that Ms. Stanek thinks that Ms. Reaves was so stupid as to have allowed herself to be “lulled by liberals.” (My mater wasn’t “lulled” by liberals when she had her “D&C” abortion in the 50’s).
And this - ”She was the victim of a black culture that has completely lost any sense of sexual morality.” So whites who have abortions aren’t as immoral as blacks. Got racism much, Ms. Stanek?
“Reaves was likely a victim of comprehensive sexual education that gives a false sense of trust in contraceptives.”
So, Ms. Stanek, how do you account for the high teen pregnancy rates in states that have abstinence only education?
And Ms. Stanek – the Obama/infanticide crap has been so debunked by mainstream media. You proved yourself a laughing stock on that one. The only ones who believe it are your uninformed fetus fetishists.

Key word being “limited”. As in, more limited than what’s currently available:
http://www.gallup.com/poll/148880/Plenty-Common-Ground-Found-Abortion-Debate.aspx
The point is that, on a very controversial and highly polarized issue, people are more willing to identify with one side (warts and all) than the other. Those are facts. I’m not dishonest enough to claim that a majority fully agrees with my position on abortion, nor am I dishonest enough to claim that “most of the United States thinks [legal abortion supporters] are loons”.
Also, let’s not pretend that most people actually understand the full extent of the Roe v. Wade decision.
The Obama-infanticide connection discussed on this blog was apparently good enough for Politifact:

Lucas, I bet if you asked the Pope about that, he would agree. He is a humble man who takes responsibility for every failure in the Church; a terrible burden. That’s the difference between a true leader (a servant) and someone like say… Obama (a tyrant).

aka most oppose abortion on demand.
Most here would support laws like Europe has. Europe regulates 1st trimester abortions more strictly than we restrict 2nd trimester abortions. And 2nd trimester abortions there are pretty rare. You pretty much can’t get one in Germany. And a few countries in Europe make it outright illegal.
As a result Europe has about 1/3 as many abortions per capita.

Verrrrrrry interesting, Jill. One of your most insightful posts to date.
Maybe it is uncouth to explore this here, but I will speculate that the “something more to the relationship between him and PP” is a high level of bitterness and/or guilt he has from having once pressured his wife and/or a former girlfriend to have an abortion against her will, of a child he fathered, at a PP clinic. And maybe PP knows all of this somehow and has threatened to expose him if he even THINKS of not bowing to their every demand. When an ally shifts even the slightest degree away from PP, the ugliness that ensues is quite something to behold (e.g.–Komen’s attempted retreat a few months ago). I put NOTHING past PP, even betraying the president they worship.
If I’m right and that information would ever become public, can you IMAGINE the response of the American populace? Forget the historic “First Black president” gobbledygook. He would be forever known as the first truly cowardly president who wasn’t man enough to take responsibility for his actions in the most personal area of his life. I think our society rightly looks down on any male who pressures a woman to have an abortion against her will. And if the President is such a person? Whoa.
Anyone who attempts, then, to impose even the smallest limitation on the abortion regime touches something so personal for him that he responds by digging his heels in even further.
I do hope I’m wrong here, because I, too, cannot understand his desperately wicked stance on this. But no one is this fanatical, this resolute, without it coming from a place of deep woundedness or anger.
Whatever the reason, we are not wrestling President Obama or Cecile Richards but against spiritual evil in the unseen realm (Eph 6); and there’s also no question that there are demonic spirits and principalities driving this death culture which seems to be intensifying by the day. With President Obama at the helm of our nation, the Enemy’s legal claim to our land and federal government is increasing.
It’s time to pray like never before. Lord, have mercy.

@ ilikeobamacare:
I said I will “speculate”–meaning I have no idea, really, but just offering a possible reason for the sake of discussion–regarding why he zealously fights for Planned Parenthood. In truth, I hope I’m wrong.
As Jill suggested, the ties must extend beyond the obvious. Perhaps they’ve got something on him in addition to him being a 110% ideologue. I would think that it HAS to be something VERY personal.
Like Clinton before him, Obama has angered segments of his base these past few years, but one group he’ll never, EVER cross is the DC/NY abortion racket. BUT, if they do have something damning on him, I wouldn’t put it past them to release private medical information of someone they wanted to punish, even President Obama’s, especially if he ever dared to change his mind on the subject–I know many, MANY folks across this world are praying to that end–and prayer does have a way of changing things.
(Yes, I’m one of those wonderfully crazy-idealistic intercessors who dares to believe God for the seemingly impossible, because with Him, nothing is–even changing a rabidly pro-abortion President’s heart on the subject. God did it before with a murder-approving leader named Saul who, well, ended up writing 1/3 of the New Testament.)
Back to my theory…it would be easy enough for PP to do; they could just leak the damning info to a few sophisticated web gurus and then sit back and watch the story ricochet around the world via social media utilities and the blogosphere. In minutes they can frame a new debate at the national level. Such tactics are par for the course for them. Exhibit A: the recent kerkuffle with Komen.
I think Jill is right; we’d better mark her words. There’s just GOT to be more to this than simple political loyalty. It sounds strange, I know, but in a way I think Obama may actually be afraid of PP. If they turn on him, he’s sunk.
What does everybody else think?

It is saddening, and infuriating to see so many – even one – who freely dismiss Senator Obama’s voting record as nonexistent, who blindly dismiss his full-on assault against decency in favor of death.
So, it is the fact that he just happens to be in charge when someone dies? It has nothing to do with his assault against threats to PP from legislatures? It’s not his heartless promotion of consequence-less sex?
Abortion leads to death. That is the reason for its existence. It is sad that the Mom was murdered in the process, but she walked into a butcher shop with murder on her mind. No, she did not get what she deserved, and her child did not get what he deserved, but there is a thin line. Only God can see clearly exactly what she deserved.
But there are murderers running rampant in this country, wearing white coats, killing indiscriminately and efficiently, just like their young counterparts on the streets of Chicago. And we, as a people, deserve better than that. They must be stopped, and this evil must be stopped if we are to survive.
It is more than likely that the puzzling hold he retains on his support for this evil organization and its practices derives from cash.

In defense of this young mother — we have no idea how she was misled by the abortion industry. Many young women are still brainwashed from a young age (by the role models in their life) into thinking abortion ends a pregnancy not kills their child.

No one believes that abortion is simply a removal of cells. The louder they protest, the more deeply buried the truth is inside of them, and the more painful their restitutionary punishment will be. I have seen 2 year-olds point to a pregnant belly and say “baby”. If a baby knows the truth, what excruciating contortions must an adult have to maneuver through to convince themselves it is not a baby, and that abortion is not the deliberate murder of an innocent? Whether they seek it out and welcome it or submit to someone else’s desire for them to accept it, they know.

Daniel,
If your government’s laws tells you that drunk driving, beating your child, robbing a bank and starting a fire are all illegal because these behaviors hurt others but then it also tells you abortion is legal, confusion does happen and I disagree that everyone knows that abortion kills a human.
When you have family, friends and/or your husband/boyfriend (all people you love and believe have your very best interest at heart) agree with the government that abortion is okay and that you are merely pregnant with a clump of cells or a product of conception and you are young, naive, scared and/or abused, you are easily brainwashed. I don’t believe everyone realizes they are killing a child. There are many proaborts that believe the pictures of abortion are faked.
I really did not see myself as a battered woman until I was far enough out of the situation to think rationally (I was in a sense brainwashed). There were police and hospital reports that I threw in a box and rationalized away.
Many two-year-olds are not as brainwashed as many young women.
