New moms smarter than nonmoms
I mentioned the other day I’d read three crazy pro-abort tweets in a row (tweet #1 here, tweet #2 here).
Following is tweet #3, by RH Reality Check:

According to a latest study researchers have found that new mothers have a better memory – the findings that counter the belief that women experience a decline in memory and cognitive function after they have children.
Suddenly becoming forgetful has long been seen as part and parcel of becoming a mother.
But scientists say so-called ‘baby brain’ may be a myth and, in fact, having a child may actually improve a woman’s memory.
In a series of experiments, new mothers scored better on tests of visuospatial memory – the ability to perceive and remember information about their surroundings – compared with women who didn’t have children.
And the reason it was crazy for RH to post this information is, of course, because RH and its feminist friends push nonmotherhood – contraception and abortion.
Which makes them not so smart, right?

Child birth might help the mothers but I know as a father it did not help me one bit. I turned into Homer Simpson after my first kid.

Actually nuns have a very low rate of dementia and alzheimers.
I totally agree with this study. I remember everything my kids say, unfortunately for them….
Kid on a Monday: “I have a test Friday.”
Kid on Thursday: “Can I go over to Jane’s house?”
Me: “No, you have a test tomorrow you need to study for.”
“Non-motherhood?” Most women use contraception before & after having children, and most women having abortions are already moms.
So the childless Nellie Gray who heads March for Life must have a terrible memory?
As a corollary to that principle…I read that mother’s of BOYS are more on-the-ball than mothers of girls only. And THAT I firmly believe!
This entire thread is a fail. The study found that childbirth can improve MEMORY, not intelligence or knowledge capacity. And it doesn’t say that women who don’t have children can’t remember anything, just that those who have children improve their own memory ability.

On the flip side, all women having abortions are moms because what they are aborting is their child.
Maybe childbirth made my memory better, but all that breastfeeding made me thick as a rock, LOL!

I really hope memory doesn’t equal intelligence, otherwise I am incredibly stupid, lol.
