Does anyone have a favorite version of the Holy Bible? I recently read the entire Bible, both Old and New Testaments, in the King James Version. I think this has beautiful language and, on that count at least, may well be the best version.
I’d like input from others.
My favorite is the God’s Word translation, but I have many translations at hand, because sometimes another version helps me understand better. Other favorites are the New International Version and the New Living Translation.

Do you use the Anchor Bible? Someone recommended it to me.
How about J. B. Rotherham’s Emphasized Bible? It’s the only one I’d recommend above King James (“the ‘original’ is still the greatest!”), and only if one appreciated the KJV language…
