Obama campaign releases ad comparing first time vote to first time sex
UPDATE: 10/26, 7:15a: From Erick Erickson:
The reason Barack Obama is running this ad is because he is done trying to get independent voters. He’s given up. Despite campaign rhetoric about fighting for evangelicals, he’s given up there. He’s given up on Catholic voters. He’s given up on the South. He’s given up on men who have daughters. He’s given up on moms. He’s given up on everyone expect his core base of singles, gays, and minorities, including college kids he is desperate to get back to the polls.
10/25, 8:22: How low will they go? The Obama people apparently just can’t keep their minds off of lady parts…

These people are just plain sex-obsessed. This is an ad from the President of the United States?

I knew they were getting desperate, but now they’re just getting pathetic.
Stay classy, Obama campaign.
To quote Michelle Malkin, vote with your lady smarts, not your lady parts.
Oh I don’t know, I thought it was kinda funny in a stupid way. If I were a woman I would be offended at being talked down to like that, though.
USA, the latest Rome, to fall from within!?
Man, should be instructed on their need to be obedience to the creator of them! Not stay in darkness!
Just saying……………….
Created by Cecile? LL
Sorry Mr. O, this election they’re just not that into you.
The Dirtbag-in-Chief. This is disgusting.
This is pathetic. But you know what? Sad thing is, I think it may actually work with the target audience.
“I think it may actually work with the target audience.”
I find it hard to see this appealing to anyone who is not already voting for Obama. I think he already had the vagina costume vote locked up.
Perhaps. I hope you’re right, JDC. But there are, I suspect, many college-age adults who don’t pay attention to politics, who are very susceptible to peer influence, and who are in the midst of deep leftist indoctrination in the classroom and general campus environment. If they don’t have strong values and convictions already, something like this could sway them.
That being said, I think the turnout among this population will be low. Whomever may be swayed by this pathetic ad, I have a hunch that few of them will be voting.
What does your vote for Obama and your first time sex have in common?
You didn’t put much thought into it and if you had a chance to do it over again, you wouldn’t.
Zing!
The way he uses women is pathetic…
Well Scott, we’ll see. I honestly believe at this point turnout is a bigger factor than actually changing minds. On that note, I don’t see this ad really motivating anyone to vote who wasn’t going to already. I really, really hope your hunch is right and this demographic votes in low numbers.
You think that’s pathetic? You should see Richard Mourdock’s views on rape! We’re a couple of real throwbacks (to the 1500s)!
^ That’s really the best you’ve got?
Right?
Do progressives actually pay attention to what people actually say and mean any more, or is all free expression mere fodder for dissembling B.S.?
Obama in Colorado:
“I want to build on the progress we’ve made. Doubling clean energy. I want fuel efficient cars and long-lasting batteries and wind turbines manufactured here in China!”
According to you guys who keep harping on Mourdock, I guess that means Obama wants to outsource our jobs to China. And furthermore, it means that ALL Democrats want to outsource our jobs to China. Who cares if Obama said this afterwards:
“I don’t want them manufactured in China, I want them manufactured here in the United States!”
But we know that any explanations or revisions of speech are completely irrelevant. Obama said we wants to send our jobs to China. Therefore Obama and all Democrats want to send our jobs to China and a vote for Democrats is a vote to send our jobs to China.
Isn’t that annoying? Isn’t that preposterous? Yet it’s exactly what these people are doing who absolutely refuse to understand what Mourdock meant.
wow a voting ad for teenagers. The ad is childish.
Hey John! Lets compare a slip of the tongue to something that someone actually believes! That’s totally the same thing! Like when I said something about the female body being able to shut down the conception process in the case of a legitimate rape! Being completely ignorant to how the human body works is just the same as accidently forgetting to put the word “don’t” in a sentence and correcting yourself one second later! You are as good at logical reasoning as I am at biology! :P
Good thing we have Todd Akin here to talk about some stupid gaffe (thinking that the stress from being raped ALWAYS prevents a woman from conceiving instead of the actuality that sometimes that possibly CAN happen but is not the norm) instead of this ignorant, childish, demeaning ad from the Obama campaign. He’s been hanging out with Cecil too much. Apparently he thinks we’re nothing but a bunch of genitalia-centric, sex-obsessed giggling schoolgirls. That, to me, is just as bad or worse than anything Akin said. DEFINITELY worse than anything Mourdock said.
This is from a Rhodes Scholar:

Checkmate.
LOL
I’d say. Freakin’ Q to the E to the D!
This is the lead actress on that T.V. show ‘Girls?’
I thought that show was honest, but it didn’t resolve any of the horrific problems it revealed women going through.
Ok, She’s with Judd Apatow. He does that show. He’s pro-abortion. And his wife is pro-abrtion.
They are all outspoken Obanationals, like yo…
I think that it is crule, inhuman, and barbaric to tell a person who has been conceived in an act of rape that they deserve the death penalty when according to our own Supreme Court, rapists themselves do not even deserve that. Truly, punishing innocent children for the crimes that their father committed is the true medieval view.
Obama and the Liberal Hoard know their audience quite well. This is the next generation of American voters, American consumers, and American business.
They are the children of the Republicans and the Democrats and the Church.
Get used to it.
Lena Dunham – any relation to Stanley Anne Dunham – Barack Hussein Obama’s mother?
Wouldn’t surprise me in the least. This whole election cycle has been sheer madness.
He must get the tattoo vote
See a long white fur coat, a purple top hat, a cane and serious bling… yes, pimping for votes.
Why are they wasting time and money on this? News flash – Obama – you’ve got the tattooed, hipster crowd. They are bought and paid for. You need to win over grown-up independents.
I guess I’m happy that the Obama campaign is so incompetent they are losing independents by 19 points.
Hey fake Todd Akin, then it’s a good thing I wasn’t talking about the real Todd Akin, isn’t it? I was talking about Mourdock. I never mentioned Akin. But you are free to intentionally twist my words, and thus prove my point.
What Akin said was absolutely insane and ridiculous. But there is nothing wrong with what Mourdock said, unless you believe that God wills that children conceived in rape must be killed.
I don’t think what Akin said was ridiculous. There ARE women who cry “rape” and have not been raped. Norma McCorvey comes to mind. The accuser of the Duke Lacrosse team comes to mind. So “legitimate rape” is a legitimate thing to say. And it IS true that a woman’s body CAN shut down ovulation because of the stress of the rape. Does it happen every time? Of course not. But it is true that it does occur. So nothing Akin said was wrong. So everyone can stop the hissy fits. And fake Tod Akin, you gonna jump all over liberal hag Whoopi Goldberg for saying Roman Polanski wasn’t guilty of “rape rape”? Yeah, didn’t think so hypocrite.
What Mourdock said was that all life is intended by God. That is true. And if you don’t believe in God then who cares what he said? Would you argue that all life is not precious? Would you look at Rebecca Kiessling, Juda Myers and for goodness sake, even Angelina Jolie’s daughter Zahara and say “None of you are worthy anything because your fathers were rapists.”? Our parents’ shortcomings do not dictate our worth as human beings. I don’t know why this is such a hard concept for the dead-babiesrus crowd to grasp.
Dear Obama,
It’s not you, it’s me. It’s just that I choose to save my votes for someone who ultimately will commit to me and to my ideals. I want to save my vote for someone who respects me and who will truly represent what I believe as an American and who sees me as a person, not just a hot voter to cat-call and maybe score with. So hit the road. You’re come-ons are gross. I’m not voting for you – I have too much self respect.
Sincerely not interested,
Young, 20-something, female voter
^Best. Comment. Ever.
Chris,
Lena Dunham is the creator of the raunchy HBO hit series “Girls.”
Hardly surprised.
Thank you LibertyBelle for your open letter to Obama.
I wish you could send it to him through his website or the WH.
This morning I sent him my comments regarding Planned Parenthood “offering” mammograms.
Yes, he did it again during the Jay Leno show.
Someone gotta tell Obama that PP does not do mamograms, they do abortions!
I had enough of Obama’s and his administration’s lies.
How low can he go?
I think we have already passed the lowest immaginable threshold! A long time ago!
Why all the hate for tattooed voters?!?!! Tattooed people are like any other people. My dad and my better half are BOTH tattooed…and BOTH voting for Romney. Granted, they’re not of the hipster tattooed variety, but the motorcyclist kind. Still, though! *HARUMPH*
Ha thanks JDC. The guy asked for it.
Richard, I’ll send it to him. And I’m putting it on FB… will more than likely get a call from the Secret Service wondering if “hit the road” was implied as a threat though… hahaha
I think this is the most truthful ad in history, if you vote for obama you’re screwed.
No worries LibertyBelle.
We’ll show Obama the “door” and the “road” on Nov 6.
That’s what this Administration has created: a society where the “leader” and his “non-values” cannot be challenged or contested for fear of being harrassed or worse.
That reminds me a awful lot like the hallmark of tyranny to me.
So, hit the road Barry!
An don’t you come back no more, no more…
X – definitely only have a problem with the hipster kind. I’m from Milwaukee and think highly of bikers! Every five years the Harley reunion brings in thousands of great folks! They spend lots of money supporting local business and help many charities. Never a bit of trouble.
Military tattoos get a pass too. :-)
Bimbette of the year, Lena Dunham sez that when you do it for the first time, you wanna do it with a guy who cares if you have birth control. That’s right, YOU, not HIM!!!!!
If Lena becomes sterilized by her sex habits (Chlamydia trachomatis) or her pills (hormonal derangement), will it be a selective advantage for the human species. Hmmmmmmmmm???
Anybody see Stephen Crowder’s spoof YouTube of this yet?
Heeeeeeelarious
but his arms are way nicer.
I LOVE Steven Crowder! I’m gonna check it out.
Thanks for the tip, Mary Ann. it almost made watching the original worth it. :)
Yeah, your first time should be with a great guy: your husband.
It looks like obama copied putin’s homework, i guess obama only realized the dog ate his after he ate the dog.
Mild warning.

Yeah, your first time should be with a great guy: your husband.
Hahahaha, yeah that’s the message that should be told. News flash, women, like Lena Dunham, aren’t stuck in the 50s, actually embrace their sexuality, and support a candidate who embraces women’s control of their own bodies. The fact that this video outrages the majority of the commentators on this blog is priceless. I love Lena Dunham, she is a remarkable women
You can embrace your sexuality and still think this is a dumb commercial, if slightly amusing.
Ok, you can embrace your sexuality, expect access to birth control, and control your body at all times, even when pregnant (which also includes choosing abortion). Is that better jack?
Sure, I agree with all those things. Control your sexuality, access to bc, control your own body even while pregnant! Yay! Except that you don’t control your fetus’s body, it happens to not be yours.
Actually your right, you, nor I, control a fetus’s body. A women however, does. A woman, most definitely, has the right to terminate a pregnancy, expel a fetus from her body, and continue on with life without judgement. It’s a beautiful thing really, empowering women to choose what is best or her.
Yes, dead fetuses are just beautiful, it’s touching really.
I thought the concept of owning other humans went out in the nineteenth century, apparently I was wrong. And I’m the last person to make slavery analogies, I generally don’t like them, but when you flat out admit it, makes it kinda hard to avoid.
Slavery huh? So you don’t see forcing a woman to have a baby against her will might be more analogous to slavery vs scraping a few cells out of a uterus? That’s where you want to take this? Which scenario seems more like slavery to you? Seems like you want to “own” women by restricting there access to abortion. You, Jackie boy, should probably be more sensitive to the idea of owning another individual.
I don’t know Jake, I didn’t particularly want kids but I don’t think it should be legal to kill mine off because of that. Was I enslaved by having that choice taken away from me? Lolol
“A few cells” come on now, you have been around the abortion arguments to know what a fetus looks like and is at the time when most abortions happen. At least be intellectually honest.
Nah, I don’t want to own anyone. Complete freedom as long as it doesn’t cause harm to other parties. Abortion pretty obviously causes harm.
Yeah, your first time should be with a great guy: your husband.
My first husband turned out not to be a great guy, though.
No one said you should be able to kill your kids. Who made that argument? I said no one should be able to own another individual. Telling a woman she can’t control her body seems to me a lot like slavery, a topic by the way, you brought up. I have kids, I shouldn’t be able to kill them. If I knock up a girl, I also shouldn’t be able to control her body. Seems again, that you should be keenly aware of preventing someone from forcing another individual from doing things they may not want to do.
X
That wasn’t my quote. Looks like you and I agree….
We are talking about killing people’s kids if we are talking about abortion, whether you would like to admit it or not. I honestly am happy when choicers actually admit they’re killing a human even if they don’t care, it’s refreshing to see that some of them can actually think.
I don’t see a whole lot of difference between killing a born child and killing a fetus, it’s not “slavery” to expect people to perform their parent obligations until someone else can step in and care for the kid. Unfortunately we don’t have a way to transfer gestation yet, so a woman has to wait until birth to transfer custody of her kid if she doesn’t want it. It sucks, that she has to wait, but when the alternative is killing a human I think it’s should be legally sound.
Your digs at me don’t bother me in the slightest, in case you were wondering Jake.
Not wondering actually. And I don’t care how you define it, child, fetus, cells….at the end of the day, a woman’s right to control her body trumps any definition you want throw out there.
And my digs at you amuse me….whether they bother you or not is irrelevant. They amuse me so at the end of the day I am happy.
Eh personally I believe kid’s rights to be free from being harmed by their parents trumps a woman’s right to “expell the contents of her uterus” or whatever term you guys like to through out there. Take care Jake, have fun white knighting some more.
And I am really glad you find child rape and abuse so amusing Jake, it warms my evil, woman-owning heart!
Oh, and you wrote “it sucks that she has to wait”. News flash, she doesn’t , thanks to the law
“Oh, and you wrote “it sucks that she has to wait”. News flash, she doesn’t , thanks to the law”
Hopefully not for long! *maniacal laughter*
At least you admit you are evil and try to control women. Progress!!!!!
Lol, considering you think child rape is hilarious and think it’s cool to kill babies, I think I’m one up on you on the moral scale.
But yeah, I love it when you comment Jake. Some other pro-choicers have seen your comments and have just been horrified at what you think is funny and what you support. You really are an asset to the pro-life side.
Pro choicers love me
Yeah, except for my pro-choice friend who was also abused by her dad. She thinks you should be banned from the internet lol. You do your own side quite a disservice. But please continue, I like people seeing you guys for what you are.
This is like watching ping-pong. I’m getting a crick in my neck. But carry on.
The fact that you don’t get it is quite amusing. You actually believe I advocate child molestation and women’s right to choose. Your intellectual deficiencies amuse me. I have explained in the past how your “situation” makes you uniquely qualified to maybe to see the pro choice argument, however your lack of intellect has prevented you from getting it. So because of this, you amuse me.
Oh Jake, whatever shall I do, I am so outmatched by your giant intellect!
No, in all seriousness I know exactly what you were so “cleverly” trying to do (this time at least, the gay jokes didn’t seem to fit into that haha!). You are simply wrong. If my “situation” as you like to put it taught me anything, it’s that children deserve to be protected from people who would do them harm, even if they are a burden, even if the people who want to hurt them are their own parents. It’s sad you think some chick having to put off college for a term is more important than her baby’s right to be born alive, but I can’t fix your lack of compassion. :/
At least you admit it.
Oooooo witty comeback, for the second time on this thread! You sure like showing off that intelligence, haha.
Jake, your argument about “owning” women’s bodies is just silly and baseless. Nobody wants to own anybody. If anything, people who “own” their sexuality should also own their responsability to use it correctly. That’s one of the reasons why paying for somebody else birth control is wrong.
However, the thought process is very simple. Life comes from God and we need to protect it especially at it’s weakest stages. Not standing up for a voiceless unborn child amounts to grave injustice. We think we own the unborn child’s body (or as you put a bunch of cells, just like you and me), but we don’t. Life came from God, therefore is sacred.
BTW, Jake, “scraping off a bunch of cell from the uterus”.
It seems that you have remained in the 1950, pre-ultrasound era!
Conspiracy Theory #3127: Republicans hired this actress to film the ad to make the Obama campaign look small, off track, and sexist.
A woman, most definitely, has the right to terminate a pregnancy, expel a fetus from her body, and continue on with life without judgement.
She has a right to continue on without judgement? Is that the next thing the Obamanites are planning to take from us? We can no longer judge people for killing humans? If I claim that a woman aborting her child is selfish and immoral, will I be charged with the crime of judging and thrown in jail? What do you think should be done with all of these judging prolife humans, Jake? Maybe we should be aborted?
My first husband turned out not to be a great guy, though.
Mine was not a great guy before I met him and it turned out that I did not have the power to change him. I know, I know, it’s hard to believe my love was not enough to sway him to sanity. He would have quickly moved on had I not slept with him before marriage and his becoming my first husband would now be a moot point. The rocks in his head indeed filled the holes in mine.
50 points for whoever gets the right answer first.
Who said “I know what it’s like to pull the Republican lever for the first time, because I used to be a Democrat myself, and I can tell you it only hurts for a minute and then it feels just great.”
50 more points for whoever said this:
“Voting for president is a lot like sex—and not just because it takes place every four years in the solitude of a semi-private booth. Both are intensely personal activities that nonetheless can have profound public consequences. We might add that both often involve drug-and-alcohol-fueled delusions and morning-after feelings of guilt, shame, and recrimination.”
I read a quote recently from Ronald Reagan that was along these lines. But not quite as jokingly as this one. I shall try to find the link now. Just in case I still have to claim those 50 points.
Hans – you are correct! Reagan said that. Guess he’s desperate, pathetic, lacks class (just pulling things from this thread).
The other quote? You could make it an even 100 points!
Ex-GOP,
This is the quote I was thinking of:
The Washington Post reported on Nov. 1, 1980, on Reagan’s outreach to blue-collar voters:
This is a bit of a stretch for a double entendre.
That second quote was in Reason, I don’t remember who said it though.
X
That wasn’t my quote. Looks like you and I agree….
Nope. I agree more with Jack when he said “You can embrace your sexuality and still think this is a dumb commercial.”
I’m surprised you decided to grace us with your presence, since there are no skirts behind which to hide in this thread. Jakey-nobody but FEMALES in this thread: WOMEN PRO-LIFERS. Please, stop trying to “save” us from the “slavery” of parenthood you’ve imagined. We don’t need to be “saved’ from our children.
Jack,
I nabbed that quote from TalkingPointsMemo, which I believe is a liberal site. Just a flash google search. I read it on another blog recently. It’s definitely Reagan.
Arghh! Before your time, huh? I wish I could find that great photo of RR posing in a white t-shirt and longshoreman’s cap, arms folded. I think that was displayed in a lot of bars!
Oh I was talking about the second quote that Ex wanted us all to guess. I remember reading it in Reason, I don’t remember who said it though.
Lol, I was born almost at the end of Reagan’s presidency so yeah, slightly before my time. The first president I actually remember is Clinton.
Jack,
Oops, I somehow skimmed over Ex’s first quote, which is what I went looking for!
D’oh!
Ex-GOP,
Now that I looked at your second quote, it sounded like something Dennis Miller wrote. Which reminded me that a lot of people think he wrote Mitt’s Al Smith Dinner speech.
So I’me going to guess it was our soon-to-be president.
Both quotes are pretty clearly jokes. The video is creepily in step with the Obama cult.
I promise I didn’t mine from the quote to google. I wouldn’t know what words to pick out! ;)
This version by Steven Crowder is so much better!
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sSxDE1QCHA4&feature=player_embedded
So, SO much better.
Jack,
That second quote was in Reason, I don’t remember who said it though.
Congratulations! It looks like we each get 50 points. That quote is from “the editors of Reason.”
Yay I win!
Jack,
I can’t wait for Ex to return so we can find out where to cash in our chips!
Another great Lena Dunham parody:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wAkdHzpXXo0&feature=player_embedded#!
Thanks Del. The parodies are really making this whole thing worthwhile!
