Halle Berry’s daughter prays for a sibling
Every night, we do our prayers…We pray to God, so sweet. She says, “God, please bring me a bunk bed and a baby sister.”
And I say, “I can do one of those things, I know for sure. The other one, we’ve got to keep praying on.”
What do you say to her when she wants that and can’t understand why God’s taken so long?
~ 48-yr-old actress Halle Berry, explaining how her 4-1/2 yr-old daughter, Nahla Ariela (both pictured right) prays for a sibling, as quoted by People, November 1

You sometimes need to take your time to do something well or bring about something very, very good.
waiting so long to have children almost certainly is playing a part – but God may ave other plans for her – adoption maybe?
Is she married?

(Denise) I wrote to adoptee and serial murderer Lawrence “Pliers” Bittaker asking if he believes that being adopted contributed to his ending up on California’s death row. I pointed out that adoptees are 2-3% of the population and 16% of serial murderers as asked if he believes adoption is an inherently flawed system since it takes babies away from the girl or woman in whose bodies they developed.
He answered, “I don’t usually reply to letters unless postage is included but I found your question so interesting that I decided to make an exception.” He also said, “I believe a disproportionate number of men on death row are adopted but don’t know what the percentage is.”
He disagrees with me on the reason for that. He wrote, “I don’t think a baby really cares who carries and bears it. It is what happens afterward that is important.” He speculates, “Perhaps adoption isn’t flawed but people who adopt are just less likely to be successful parents.” His adoptive parents were both busy and physically undemonstrative. They didn’t abuse him but he received little affection and didn’t feel closely connected to them. He also believes genetics might play a role. His deceased biological brother was raised in a separate adoptive home and, while his life was not nearly as awful as Lawrence Bittaker’s, the bio brother had a drinking problem, serial marriages, and failed businesses. His bio father was a thief and birthmother a party girl and part-time prostitute.
Even with all that, he believes that if someone had really taken an interest in him and shown him affection in his formative years, his life would have taken a different, and much better, course.
Is she really 48? My goodness, she doesn’t look it!
Here’s hoping Nahla gets a sister– most likely through adoption, as Bryan said.
No, she isn’t married.
This woman gets on my nerves. She is trying her damnest to keep her daughter from the baby daddy. She is the ultimate drama queen.
She can adopt or “buy” a baby through surrogacy. Everyone else in Hollyweird is doing it.
Is surrogacy a good practice?
Halle Berry was born August 14, 1966-
Making her (barely) 46…not 48.
She could point out that God tells us no on lots of things we pray for. Granted, that might not get much traction with a four-year-old, but it’s better than “Um.”
Pamela,
Hollywood celebrities are notorious for having different ages - even in their own bios, much less in the general media.
