Pro-life video of the day: Justice for Jonylah

This week, six-month-old Jonylah Watkins was shot multiple times while her dad changed her diaper in his van. She did not survive.
Despite the fact that little Jonylah’s father had connections to Chicago gang violence, the fact that any gang member would purposely target an infant or a child is truly disgusting.
Mary Young (the baby’s grandmother) told radio host John Kass that she believes her son-in-law knows who killed his daughter but he isn’t talking yet.
Is this father behaving reprehensibly by honoring a gang’s “code of silence” instead of telling the police who murdered his baby?

Well, he’ll probably get the rest of his family killed if he talks. I think it would be brave and awesome if he did get these people put away, but he’s probably not talking for a good reason.
I second Jack’s opinion. He also may not trust the police or see them as effective. Or, unfortunately, he may want to deal with it himself.
I know next to nothing about gangs and their codes.
But a beautiful daughter was murdered.
Praying for justice for her.
Yeah, I have to say I kind of feel like the father would like to tell the police who it was, but it’s too dangerous for him to do so right now. :( That’s hard. Hopefully he’ll be able to talk soon and enter some sort of witness protection program or something.
Her mommy was shot when she was 8 months pregnant with this baby girl. Less than a year old and subjected to gang violence twice. Unbelievable. God have mercy. We are wretched. Who shoots a pregnant woman or a 6 month baby girl???? I’ll tell you who. The kind of people who live in a nation where arms and legs are pulled off the unborn because they inhibit us in any way.
He’ll probably just kill the killer himself, or his gang will go after the killer’s family. It seriously never ends.
Sydney, you make the best point, and one that is overlooked by many a cultural critic. The violence we see, whether it’s man on woman, woman on child, or child on child, is ALL related. It’s a continuum of coarseness, bought and paid with ideas and words that have only resulted in one thing: a single human life is absolutely expendable for any reason.
This is the nation we live in.

Thats why graphic abortion images upset pro aborts so much. Nobody wants to see a baby hurt or suffering. If pro aborts picture an aborted baby as a blood clot or a blob of cherry jello…not so bad. But to SEE an actual pic of a ripped up baby….well that just drives them nuts! Cant handle the truth!!
There was more than one occasion i was holding a graphic abortion sign and it became so ugly I thought I was going to get my a** kicked! Odd but the first thing most of them said was “children will see this”aaaagh! But my snappy reply was to point behind me to Planned Parentless and respond “well dont blame me..blame them.”
