Congresswoman with 100% NARAL rating joins Nuns on the Bus tour
Joining the BusNuns this time is ol’ Rep. Rosa DeLauro (D-CT) who has a perfect pro-abortion record. She is rated 100% by NARAL. What a distinction!
These Nuns keep some odd company, don’t they?
~ Father John Zuhlsdorf, noticing the Nuns on the Bus Tour sponsored by NETWORK Catholic Social Justice Lobby, which had as its speaker pro-abortion congresswoman Rosa DeLauro (pictured), What Does the Prayer Really Say?, May 31
“Catholic” “nuns”.
Excommunication. All’s I’m gonna say.

Sister Simone Campbell got to speak at prime-time during the Democratic National Convention (“Abortion-Palooza,” as you may recall).
Sr. Campbell choked whenever reporters asked her about abortion, sanctity of life, her defiance of Catholic faith and our Catholic bishops, etc. She had nothing to say that might represent a Catholic voice present in the Democratic party.
“Nuns on a Bus” was transparently little more than an election-year stunt for Democrats. Did those three-or-four Sisters even know that? — Or were they just tools?
Anyhow, the Nuns are back on the Bus, getting no attention without the help of Obama’s sycophantic press coverage.
You would think that any group of faithful Catholics would be repulsed by the presence of an outspoken pro-abort leader — no matter what the main concern of the gathering actually is. And that’s why Fr. Z is repulsed by Sister Campbell — she doesn’t care about Catholic moral ethics or the deaths of children.
Jesus warned us to beware of wolves in sheep’s clothing. (Mt 7:15)

There are a lot of wolves in sheep clothing out there.
I’m reminded of a phrase from the bible, but I don’t know the exact words. It mainly says ‘woe to those who lead others astray, as their punishment will be far greater’ or something to that effect. I think people like Teddy Kennedy, Joe Biden, Kathleen Sibelius and others are in for a rough time after death. Tho, who am I to judge, they may have a deathbed conversion as it’s not unheard of.

Agreed Andy, you don’t hear much about punishment from pulpits these days but Jesus certainly didn’t shy away from speaking the truth on the subject. There are several passages warning of leading others astray or causing little ones to stumble. In fact, if it is better for someone that a millstone be tied around their neck and drowned in the depth of the sea, than to cause one child to stumble (Mt 18), how much worse to actually promote their murder in the womb.
People by and large don’t fear God.
They should.
The same way a child fears the discipline of their parents when they are disobedient. It keeps us on the straight and narrow.

“People by and large don’t fear God…..They should…..It keeps us on the straight and narrow.” – so are you saying that you would not be able to stop yourself from doing all sorts of nasty, criminal and hurtful things to others if you didn’t believe in god?

Every time I read the words ‘nuns on a bus’ I get a picture of a young Sally Field in my head!

And yet the church wonders why convents are by and large empty these days. These rogue “nuns” (term used in the loosest sense possible) are a disgrace to the foundresses of their orders and the church itself.
Is Cardinal Dolan driving that bus for them ?

Was that really necessary, Mike?

No Reality. If I didn’t believe in God, I’m sure I would live a “normal” life by the world’s standards. I doubt I would be in jail.
People need to fear God because they will have to give an account to Him for how they lived their lives. And His standards for righteousness and holiness are unattainable outside of His grace. Unfortunately, the majority of mankind is destined for the same punishment that was created for satan and his demons. God is willing to help anyone who will humble themselves and repent from their sin.
Most people won’t.

The ”Nuns’ on the bus / NETWORK’ were actually paid for by the Obama Campaign, I can’t remember where I heard this, perhaps the Catholic League with Bill Donahue, or what, but I remember it was from a solid source.
This is what Pope Francis was talking about last month, when he spoke about how nuns need to behave like Mothers, and not like old maids or spinsters.
Who is her Bishop? I don’t think she is currently in good standing with the Church, because she is so dogged about her misrepresentation and essantially, outright slander, of Catholics.

LOL. I can’t speak for all prolife men, but I’m gonna go out on a limb and say she doesn’t have any worries with that one.
