Pro-life video of the day: Parents “wig out” over bald babies
by Hans Johnson
Many would say the “peach fuzz” on their heads is one of the charms of a baby. But some are unsatisfied that their baby doesn’t have a full head of hair. A company called Baby Bangs makes wigs for the littlest of girls. What do you think?

I understand the mindset behind it, but I wouldn’t do it. I don’t think it’s necessary. If you’re really worried about people mistaking your girl for a boy, dress her in pink or something girly. Personally, I think as parents, there’s far more important things to be concerned about and I think it might just annoy the baby. Some babies HATE hats and will just pull them off (or try to).
Again, society, babies are PEOPLE not accessories. They are not dolls to dress up. They are PEOPLE. I find this totally sick that narcissistic parents can’t just accept the child they have for who they are. Bald or with a head of hair, babies are adorable and should be loved and nurtured and should ALWAYS feel that their mom and dad accepts them the way they are.
I honestly can’t imagine anyone purchasing one of these as anything other than a gag gift.
How idiotic. All of my babies were ‘bald’! I loved it! Hats keep their heads warm and you can “girly them up” with pink clothing if you want to. This is just breathtakingly stupid.
Not only do these things look dumb, they’ll lead to awkward conversations!!
“Mom, why do I have thick, shiny blond hair in the pictures of me at two months but thin, curly black hair when I’m six months?”
“You were born bald and we thought it was ugly so we got you wigs!! We didn’t know how your hair would be so we just picked. We thought you’d be blond like us. Oh well.”
That child will have some serious self-respect issues growing up.
I can’t imagine either of my kids allowing me to keep a wig on their head at that age, they’d just rip it off. I couldn’t even put hats on them!
My dad actually has had alopecia since he was about 3 years old, off-and-on. I think grandma making him wear a wig when he was younger kinda messed him up.
It makes me glad that I was born with my nose, so I could show him that it’s okay to be proud of who you are regardless of what others think, and you don’t have to always try to conform and be “normal”.
Nice, X.
“Mom, why do I have thick, shiny blond hair in the pictures of me at two months but thin, curly black hair when I’m six months?” – LOL. I was blonde as an infant and my hair just got darker and darker over the years, so it can change.
My son was the same Jack.
“It makes me glad that I was born with my nose” – what, your nose for trouble? :-)
Way stupid idea. LL
Reality,
I was blonde as an infant
Just when I thought I had you pegged. Were you blonde like Marilyn Monroe or blond like Robert Redford? Inquiring minds are half-interested.
Not like MM. More like RR but lighter I guess.
Exactly the same thing happened with my son too.
LOL Reality, I was born with really thick black hair then it fell out, was replaced by blond, then turned brown. I’ve had everything but red.
“I’ve had everything but red.”
Just keep waiting, it’ll happen.
Gee…did anyone stop to think that maybe stupid TV shows like Toddlers and Tiara’s” might just have an influence on this sort of idiotic accessory ?
Thank you, Hollywood. You’ve succeeded in sinking to a new low. If you weren’t born with a designer baby, you can create one now.
What’s next ? Steroids and bodybuilding enhancements for skinny little boys ?
