Planned Parenthood uses star power to push Obamacare
Next week, a number of celebrities will join in an effort organized by an independent group to boost enrollment on the online exchanges, said a person familiar with the plan, who wasn’t authorized to speak publicly about it. An advertising blitz will begin in January after the holiday season has ended, said the person.
Scarlett Johansson, Aisha Tyler, and Gabrielle Union have recorded phone messages that Planned Parenthood is using to promote enrollment. Actresses Lena Dunham of “Girls” and Elizabeth Banks of “Hunger Games” posted Twitter messages to promote a Planned Parenthood Internet town hall this week on Obamacare.
In addition, Planned Parenthood, which provides health services to women, will “ramp up significantly” its efforts to promote enrollment in January, deploying hundreds of staff members with a goal of contacting a half-million people in Texas, Florida, Ohio and Pennsylvania, said Rachel Fleischer, spokesperson for Planned Parenthood Federation of America.

Who better to promote this disaster than a collection of Hollywood dimwits?
Again, there is a serious security risk.

One has to wonder about the wisdom of listening to people whose primary occupation is to create fantasy stories, the purpose of which is profit, and further purchase of their brand and merchandise.
Of course whenever I need real-world advice, I always seek out someone who specializes in make-believe.

Good point Chris,
Who are these people anyway but a collection of undereducated, overpaid, for the most part not particularly talented, and overindulged occupiers of fantasy land. Why their opinions mean anything is beyond me. Honestly, unless you pointed out who these people are, I could fall over them and never know the difference.
BTW, why don’t they donate their wealth to PP if its so important to them? I happen to think Special Olympics is an important and very good cause so guess what? I donate MY OWN MONEY. What a novel concept.

Why don’t these people focus more on groups that really NEED them, (even left-wing ones) and less on pp, which already gets publicity and money smaller groups could only dream of? Or is it that pp is simply oh-so-chic in their world?

Planned Parenthood was hoping for a huge windfall of profits from the ACA.
They have hitched their fortunes to an awfully stanky manure wagon.
And that’s just what Obama needs now…. Publicized connection with the industrial giant with the worst possible public perception.
Let’s hope Big Tobacco comes out with public endorsements for the ACA, too.
Who is that chicklet in the picture, anyway? I don’t recognize her.

Oh come on Del,
How can you NOT know who she is???

I’ve been boycotting H-wood so long that I don’t recognize the faces of about 20 years worth of celebrities. Perhaps it made space in my brain for some other useful things.

I still haven’t made up my mind about the ACA as I haven’t read it. However, I do find it more than unsettling that whenever I see a picture of a pro-Obamacare event (even in the mainstream media), it’s almost always full of pink-clad Planned Parenthood cronies.

Hi Navi,
Even if you haven’t read the ACA stay away from the website. If you haven’t checked the link in my first post you may want to.

I often wonder the reasons these hollyweird dimwits have such screwed-up personal lives? Scarlet needs to focus on some of her’s before telling other women what to do with their bodies. Being a ”sex symbol” is not working for her. Too bad she’s blind to that.

Hi JDC: Scarlet’s desperation rings a bell? :)
