Pro-life video of the day: News anchor mocks Obamacare
by Hans Johnson
After a few years of contentious fighting over the wisdom or lack of regarding Obamacare, it gets to the point where you can laugh or cry. Craig Patrick of Tampa Bay’s Fox 10 chose to take a light-hearted poke at it.

I don’t enjoy the schadenfreude.
WE are stuck with Obamacare. WE failed to stop it. WE are unable to fix it. WE are watching our train wreck in slow motion…. and now WE are invited to look upon the catastrophe as if it is hurting someone else?!?!
We have all of the same healthcare problems as before — except that there are more people uninsured now, and health insurance costs more for those who have it.
Some people still hope for a single-payer plan, which means that every hospital is a government hospital and every doctor is a government employee.
The rest of us need to get looking for a non-governmental solution to the problem of healthcare. Let’s get creative, people!
Of course he’s trying to be funny, Fox is the clown network after all.
It could be worse – the Republicans could have their way and go back to the discriminating status quo. Or worse, implement Paul Ryan’s sorry ole’ plan.
Del: We have all of the same healthcare problems as before — except that there are more people uninsured now, and health insurance costs more for those who have it.
That’s an untrue generalization, Del. Seniors, for example, are doing better.
Due to Obamacare, the Medicare Trust Fund is healthier than before, and there are new provisions to fight fraud, billing errors, waste and abuse.
Preventative care is available at no cost; no deductibles or out-of-pocket payments required. It’s cheaper to prevent cancer or catch it early than to treat it or let it get into later stages.
The “doughnut hole” is being closed – it’s a gap in coverage that made it hard or impossible for many to afford medications. You were okay up to a given amount, then you had to pay until the total reached another, higher amount.
Obamacare is good for some people, and bad for some people. I’m not sure how the overall balance will be, nor how history will judge it.
