Abortionist sees his practice as a ministry
There’s more than one way to understand religion and spirituality and God. I do have belief in God. That’s why I do this work. My belief in God tells me that the most important thing you can do for another human being is help them in their time of need.
~ Abortionist Dr. Willie Parker reconciling his practice with his religious beliefs as an abortion ministry, Esquire via Patheos, July 31
As a secular pro-lifer, not going to comment on the God part, but I will say this: how convenient that his way of “helping people” takes 30 minutes and makes him money! You want to see people helping people, visit a pregnancy resource center.

As a Christian pro-lifer, I will comment on the God part. This man is a deceived killer and the innocent blood on his hands will cause him to be tormented for eternity unless he repents.
His only hope to wash away his sin is the Blood of Jesus Christ.

It is outrageous, the things that some people will do under the cover of “following God.”
Willie Parker’s ministry of helping mothers kill their children is no different from Al Qaeda’s ministry of cleansing the Middle East of Christians and Jews. These acts are both legal in their respective nations, and claim to have the support of a majority of the population….
And Esquire just made my list.

I’m not sure how ripping him and her out of their mother’s womb is helping them.
I would think he could come up with a less harmful way to help these little ones.

I guess Mr. Parker isn’t big on that whole “thou shalt not kill” thing.

Eight black women and four white women in the waiting room for an abortion.
He talks about the systems that need to be in place to take care of those black babies if he wasn’t there to abort them. He doesn’t ONCE mention the father who is responsible in helping to take care of the children. Ugh.
Parker talks about how his mom was a single parent of six children and they didn’t have much money. Where was his dad?
Does he think his mom should have aborted four of them, including himself?
Parker was the first black student-body president at a mostly white high school.
I wonder how many of his black classmates were killed before their birth.
Parker wears a shirt to work that says “Voting is sexy.”
I don’t know of any Christian who would support wearing this Tshirt anywhere and he goes into language that I find highly inappropriate for a “doctor”.
Parker admits he was bullied as a child. He is just repeating the cycle of bullying and calling it helping.
The article lies and says the “antis” that are outside the MS clinic are made up of old, white men although the article shows pictures that prove just the opposite. Parker tells the reporter that the women’s own doctors don’t do anything to help women and don’t refer them anywhere that will help them. But he fails to tell them where they can go to choose life themselves.
He can call himself a Christian all he wants, he can call himself a tree or a book for that matter. After reading the article, I call him a predator — a predator of women in crisis. A predator who believes in killing his own race off to save the system from having “to take care of those black babies.”
Black women and men should be up in arms. He is rich because he is killing your children and making you feel like you are incapable of raising them. Christians are called to help people in crisis. Not kill their children.
Margaret would be so proud. Parker is just what she hoped for.

Dr Parker has reaffirmed the view that abortionists are narcissists who seem themselves as saviors on par with God.

Parker does make a common judgment error. All pregnant women ARE VULNERABLE. This does mean that it is good to help them. However, this does not mean that they are in any way weak. [Pregnancy is not an illness. An abortion only weakens a vulnerable human [besides killing one of us (vulnerable) people too].

Dude makes more than 300k a year killing off humans and harming their human mothers.
That’s why he does it. Not because it’s his “ministry.”
Praxedes, you nailed it in your 10:30 post.

300K!
How many children could that money take care of per year? How many children has he adopted or fostered?

Hey WIllie Parker–you believe in God? The devils also believe and tremble. (James 2:19). I would warn you that the Bible says what you sow you will reap. You are sowing your own eternal destruction. You are sowing death. (Galations 6:7-9)
If you believe in helping human beings in need you do well. How do you hep the human being in the womb who is in need? I would say those babies you tear apart are very much in need. How do you help them? By killing them? Your brand of compassion is terrifying.

One more thought Willie. What women NEED is love and support. What we don’t need? Dead children. I’ve never met one single woman who was helped by murdering her children.

I got into it on FB yesterday with a rabid pack of liberal feminists over this “doctor” and what he does. I had logic and science on my side. All they had were strawmen, assumptions, insults, and condescending tones. They couldn’t come back with a single fact. Just spewed hatred at me. Debating these kinds of people is worthless. They don’t think. They just react.

Every woman, pro-choice and pro-life alike, should be outraged over what is revealed in this Esquire article.
– The doctor gives the informed consent talk to all 12 patients at the same time in the waiting room!
– They are expected to ask personal, medical questions of the doctor in front of other patients!
– He offers information about choices other than abortion in a public, passive-aggressive way that virtually ensures no patient will reach for the information.
– He offers all patients the same abortion options regardless of their personal medical history/health.
How can anyone read what he told those patients and not recognize that this was a sales pitch instead of medical advice? Outrageous.

I will note that the Esquire article also contained this bit:
“After each procedure, he carries the large glass vacuum bottle into an adjoining room. There he pours the fetal tissue from the bottle into an ordinary kitchen strainer and runs tap water over it, then empties the strainer into a clear Pyrex dish and examines the tissue on a light table.
Bending over the glass dish, he stares with the blank expression of a scientist at work. Come closer, he says. Have a look. These are blood clots and this is the decidual tissue, the stuff that looks like feathery coral. That supports the embryo, sloughing off monthly if a pregnancy doesn’t develop.
This one is six weeks. It’s just lumps of red tissue floating in water.
When the triplets arrive, he points out one sac, two sacs, three sacs.
But then he brings in one that’s nine weeks and there’s a fetus. He points out the scattered parts. “There’s the skull, what is going to be the fetal skull. And there are the eye sockets.”
Floating near the top of the dish are two tiny arms with two tiny hands.
Parker continues to examine the tissue. He points to a black spot the size of a pencil tip. “That’s an eye.”
“That black spot?”
“That black spot is an eye. And here’s the umbilical cord.”
The fetal pole has just begun to differentiate into a spine, but it still has a fishy tail of some kind of feathery material.
Very few outsiders are invited into this room, and rare is the doctor who would show this to a reporter. But today he made a conscious decision not to hide the truth. “At some point, we have to trust that people can deal with the reality of what this is,” he says. “And keeping it hidden only enhances the stigma.”
Growing reflective, he continues to study the parts. “The reality is we’ve disrupted a life process. There are recognizable fetal parts, right? The capacity for this development is always there. After five weeks, you just have the sac. At six weeks, you have a fetal pole with cardiac activity. At seven to eight weeks, it’s just a larger fetal pole. By nine, it’s differentiated.”
But here’s the vital question: Is it a person? Not by the standards of the law, he says. Is it viable outside the womb? It is not. So this piece of life—and remember, sperm is alive, eggs are alive, it’s all life—is still totally dependent on a woman. And that dependence puts it in the domain of her choice. “That’s what I embrace,” he says.
But it’s hard not to look at those tiny fingers, no bigger than the tip of a toothpick.”
I’m pretty surprised they printed that…

It is surprising that they printed that, Kate.
And oh yes, thank you, scientific reporter – “And remember, sperm is alive, eggs are alive, it’s all life…”
This is an incredibly disingenuous statement. Incredibly.
“Is still totally dependent on a woman.” On a woman to what? To determine that hey, who cares if it’s got a heartbeat – it’s not really a person, it’s “a piece of life.” It’s “dependent” so it’s her choice, hmm?
These are frightening statements. Everyone needs to wake up and realize that those “tiny fingers” that are so “hard not to look at” are the fingers of a real human being that was just chopped to bits because it was “dependent” on someone else and deemed a mere “piece of life” by his or her executioner.
Humans are really, really good at dehumanizing.

Thanks to all of you who read this article and reported what it said. I can’t read stuff like that anymore. Just reading the excerpts made me sad. I wonder if the mother of triplets knew three babies we’re killed?
Contrast this monster with Dr. Ben Carson, who is a world renowned surgeon who has saved thousands of lives. I would love to see these two in a debate. I bet Dr. Carson would win hands down!

Phillymiss, she didn’t. Earlier in the article they were talking about the ultrasound requirement, and they said Parker paused and asked the mother if she wanted to know if there was more than one. She said no, and he showed the reporter the triplet ultrasound after the mother left the room.

Providing people with what they want and need is helping people.
I don’t think the whole ‘eternal torment’ thing is anything for him to worry about.
“It is outrageous, the things that some people will do under the cover of “following God.” – oh it most certainly is. Not so much in this case.
“I’ve never met one single woman who was helped by murdering her children.” – no, but quite a few are helped by having access to abortion. Women decide according to themselves, not your beliefs.

I second that Lrning. Not long after I started working with juvenile offenders I heard one of them say he failed to understand why he was locked up for dealing drugs. He went on to say it was victimless crime because he is just giving people want they want.

willie conventiently side steps his own tradition by de-humanizing his victims and is so doing only de-humanizes himself.
And Jesus says, “You have a fine way of rejecting [thus thwarting and nullifying and doing away with] the commandment of God in order to keep your tradition (your own human regulations)!
Thus you are nullifying and making void and of no effect [the authority of] the Word of God through your tradition, which you [in turn] hand on. And many things of this kind you are doing.”
“Why do you misunderstand what I say? It is because you are unable to hear what I am saying. [You cannot bear to listen to My message; your ears are shut to My teaching.]
You are of your father, the devil, and it is your will to practice the lusts and gratify the desires [which are characteristic] of your father. He was a murderer from the beginning and does not stand in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaks a falsehood, he speaks what is natural to him, for he is a liar [himself] and the father of lies and of all that is false.”
If the boRAT had a father he would be just like willie.

It is really, really easy to justify things like that when you’re in it. I had the exact same justification for selling drugs as a teen. Heck, I even justified stealing because I only targeted people who were “rich” and how could it hurt them? I can see how this abortion dude thinks, it is hard to get yourself out of those thinking errors. Hope he comes to his senses soon and realizes what he’s doing to people.

Dr. Parker clearly does not recognize the difference between sperm cells and egg cells, which are reproductive parts of human organisms, and zygotes, embryos, and fetuses, which are human organisms.
“Although life is a continuous process, fertilization is a critical landmark because, under ordinary circumstances, a new, genetically distinct human organism is thereby formed…. The combination of 23 chromosomes present in each pronucleus results in 46 chromosomes in the zygote. Thus the diploid number is restored and the embryonic genome is formed. The embryo now exists as a genetic unity.”
[O’Rahilly, Ronan and M?ller, Fabiola. Human Embryology & Teratology. 2nd edition. New York: Wiley-Liss, 1996, pp. 8, 29. This textbook lists “pre-embryo” among “discarded and replaced terms” in modern embryology, describing it as “ill-defined and inaccurate” (p. 12}]

Wow!! I just don’t have the stomach to read this Esquire article. So he let the reporter see how he has to identify fetal parts to “make sure he gets it all”. She saw hands, legs, heads, eyes, etc. and did not become nauseous and revolted by what she saw? Mr. Parker is indeed a cold-blooded son-of-a-gun (I won’t call his mother a b-word)and so is the reporter.

Hey Jack, going across Tennessee today, I saw a big sign that said:
“Spare not the rod from your child; you will save his life.
–Proverbs 23:13”

“The rod” just means discipline in general. Doesn’t mean you need to hit your kids.
This subject upsets me and I’d rather we not discuss it anymore. I don’t take it as lightly as you do, apparently.

Jack, I wasn’t arguing about it – I just thought of you when I saw the sign. Seems like it’s an extreme Bible version to me, or even a paraphrasing.

Margaret Sanger inspired Hitler with “Eugenics” and here we have a trator to is own Race following her plan. Better yet The Left’s Brain Trust back in the 50’s adopted Sanger’s plan for Contraception and Abortion as the key elements, along with other effective but less lethal stratigies, in pursuit of their goal to stealthily “Eliminate” the White population as a MAJORITY in the USA. They duped the entire nation by hiding the evil behind euphemisms like; “Family Planning”, “Women’s Health”, “Choice”, “Freedom of Speech”, and backed it up 1st with Paul Ehrlich’s 1968 “The Population Bomb”. A book advocating for forced Govt. abortion if voluntary contraception and abortion wasn’t effective enough! Then, “Roe v Wade”! But, Once the idea of the “Pill” as the only effective solution to Overpopulation was planted, NO ONE thought the real goal of Contraception and Abortion was eliminating the Nations White MAJORITY! They also claimed, deceitfully, it was actually aimed at Black genocide. They ended up hiding it so effectively that most Americans havn’t caught on ‘YET’, or realize this doctor is part of the deceit…and the white ‘majority’ is now, in fact, gone! It took more than 50 years…but then…satan has the time…

Lovely dose of ‘Conspiracy 101’ there Tom.
“In contrast with eugenicist William Robinson, who advocated euthanasia for the unfit Sanger wrote, “we [do not] believe that the community could or should send to the lethal chamber the defective progeny resulting from irresponsible and unintelligent breeding.” Similarly, Sanger denounced the aggressive and lethal Nazi eugenics program.”
“In addition, Sanger believed the responsibility for birth control should remain in the hands of able-minded individual parents rather than the state” – wouldn’t people here like that?
“Sanger also supported restrictive immigration policies.” – now where have I heard that sort of thinking lately….

Nah that’s the correct translation in most Bibles Doug. It is just that “the rod” wasn’t meant to necessarily refer to corporal punishment. People who like hitting kids like to imagine it does. Like the “To Train Up A Child” abusers, they took it that way.

Thank you for replying Reality. My question then, is how did the engine of Democracy and Power in the world, the white middle class, get reduced to a “Minority”? Perhaps you’ve noticed Conservative’s haven’t won many elections lately and the outcome of the next one is completely in doubt. If your reply is ‘they’ no longer are Politically relevent, well why is that? It means America is Communist and no longer exists.
Contraception and abortion destroyed the “Family”, then the Catholic Church, all in less than a decade. It was the fuse that started the sexual revolution and the Women’s Movement! The 60’s diden’t happen in a vacuum! Sanger funded development of the ‘pill’! While everything you mention about her is true, her contrabution to legitimize Contraception and Planned Parenthood to the average American lies in her brilliantly deceptive propaganda campaign. That is what the “Brain Trust” adopted to establih the lagitimacy of contraception and abortion as a self supporting proccess, that hid in plain sight the real objective, once established.
So why, when presented with an alternate viewpoint that outs the Liberal Leftist Communist, are you intent on simply dismissing it as a “Lovely dose of Conspiracy 101”? Perhapse your being less than transparent….

“how did the engine of Democracy and Power in the world, the white middle class, get reduced to a “Minority”?” – GOP policies. Two terms of conservative prior to Obama, the make-up of congress and what we see in many states rather dispels your claim that conservatives haven’t won many elections lately.
I’m afraid I find your second paragraph to be a reprisal of your earlier mantra.
A ‘Brain Trust’? What’s that? Who’s that?
I see no viewpoint that outs any ‘liberal leftist communist’. How can someone be ‘leftist’ and ‘communist’? Who are the communists you refer to anyway? I suppose you are one of those who think Obama is a socialist.
I’m being quite clear, I do find you a little opaque however.
