Pope asked to declare Planned Parenthood an enemy of the Church
An official declaration of Planned Parenthood as an enemy of the Church will be a real game changer. Such a declaration will prevent Planned Parenthood employees and volunteers from serving in positions of responsibility in our parishes.
Simply put, Catholics could no longer hide behind an uninformed conscience in order to assist or promote Planned Parenthood or its agenda and be able to continue calling themselves Catholics in good standing.
~ American Life League’s Michael Hichborn in an August 25 press release announcing his group’s new campaign asking the Pope to declare Planned parenthood an enemy of the Catholic Church. Sign the Declaration of Encouragement for Pope Francis here.
Has the Catholic Church done anything to date about politicians who support abortion? Don’t they continue to receive the Eucharist?
Hmm.

Believe what American Life League means is that they want the Catholic Church to formally announce that Planned Parenthood is an enemy of life and therefore an enemy of the Church. Abortion and lust are both sins.
Kel: There are Bishops and Priests that have refused Communion to acknowledged employees of and politicians that are supporters of Planned Parenthood. A few times even the MSM have reported this.
Generally PP and the MSM seem to prefer people NOT knowing anything about abortion except that it is some kind of a ‘medical procedure’. Certainly not about destroying the future life of the baby and, lots of times, even the mother’s future health and peace of mind (depression, etc.).
Yes, there are other Bishops and Priests that seem to not talk about abortion in the same way that lots of medical people do not talk about washing hands to stop the spread of STDs/STIs. Some medical people that I have mention this to have given me a startled laugh. In both cases I guess they think people know this or it is a self-evident truth and it would offend someone to bring it up. People die due to lack of knowledge. Do not want that on my conscience!

While he’s at it, I wish the Pope would also declare Nancy Pelosi an enemy of the church.

The ALL cites as precedent a previous pope’s condemnation of Communism. Given that this condemnation was presumably at least part of the reason why the church never objected to the anti-Communist Argentine government throwing tens of thousands of people out of airplanes into the Atlantic, it seems a little tactless to bring it up now.

Incidentally, kudos to Jill for knowing who the pope is and what he looks like. LiveAction’s photo accompanying their version of the story indicates that they think the church is still led by a young and healthy John Paul II.
