It might not be an oversight on Catalino’s part.
It fits the liberal’s stereotypical template of people who oppose b o’s policies as being angry white men, still clinging to their god and their guns, who are just a lynch mob of ignorant racists.

Two thoughts:
– Obama needs to start watching his approval rating – he’s only 4 points ahead of where Reagan was this far into Reagan’s presidency.
– The tea party vs Republican party will be fun to watch. Our tea party guy in Wisconsin says he wants to cut spending, but won’t say where – so at the end of the day, I still see him more as a traditional republican.

I am weary of this canard, this red herring.
If Obama isn’t a US citizen, then McCain isn’t either.
Fact is, both of them are citizens–regardless of where they were born–because one of their parents was a US citizen. Period. End of story. Full stop.
Check the law. Like the good preacher said about the man in Tennessee who lost his home, “Man up!” Your guy lost.

Barack Obama needs to prove he is a natural born citizen. He has NOT done so to this day.
There are so many questions regarding his birth place, his citizenship, etc., that he just needs to clear it all up. Yet he has fought against all efforts in the court system to get him to release his documents and prove, once and for all, that he is constitutionally eligible to hold the office that he occupies.
I believe he even conceded in a debate with Alan Keyes for the Illinois Senate seat in 2004 that he was born in Kenya.
Why would anyone object to an effort to uphold the law and prove once and for all that he is constitutionally eligible?

It doesn’t matter where he was born. He could have been born in the Kremlin.

His mother was an American citizen and that makes HIM an American citizen. Period. End of story. Full stop.
You know, much as I really don’t like Obama, I have to admit he played that off pretty well, too. He was funny and witty–for once.

It is true that both of them were born citizens. However, that doesn’t mean Obama is a natural born citizen now. (Stick with me, because I’m not a birther, but I feel this is worth pointing out.)
Obama went to an Indonesian school in Jakarta, Indonesia. Big deal, right? Everyone knows that. What everyone doesn’t know is that Indonesia required all Indonesian schools to enroll only Indonesian citizens at the time Obama was living there. That law was only changed within the past ten years. (The upshot of that requirement is that all expat children living in the country must attend international schools, one of which was the high school from which I graduated, since I was an expat who lived in Indonesia, so yes, I’m sure.) Furthermore, as of at least 2001, Indonesia does not allow dual citizenship with the United States.
This means that, in order to attend an Indonesian school, Obama would have been legally required to be an Indonesian citizen. And in order to be that, he would have had to have his citizenship status changed, making him no longer a US citizen, since dual citizenship is not an option. Upon reentry to the US, he could’ve gone through the naturalization process, of course, but born citizenship is something that can not be regained, once given up. All of which, if true, would mean that he would be constitutionally barred from becoming president. If the birthers want to get somewhere, stop demanding his birth certificate and start demanding his report cards.
Having said all that, what I suspect happened in actual fact is that somebody paid a school official, or an immigration official, or both, a few extra rupiahs so that Obama could go to school at an Indonesian school without changing or even checking his citizenship. Which would, of course, make the constitutionality of his presidency perfectly sound.

The Immigration and Naturalization Act was in effect at the time of Obama’s birth. Even IF he was born outside the US, he still has the same rights of citizenship as a so-called “natural born” citizen.

ALL of his documents have been requested. He has NOT proved that he is a NATURAL BORN CITIZEN. We do NOT even know if he is a citizen. There are a lot of questions surrounding his schooling in Indonesia.
There are many problems with factcheck. It is not gospel.

Hi Keli. I believe the law is such that neither of his parents could have renounced Obama’s US citizenshp for him as a child. Even if Indonesia disallows dual citizenship, the US wouldn’t have revoked his citizenship for that. So if he’s US born, he’d retain native born citizenship, but he never was NATURAL BORN regardless of the place of his birth, because he was born with dual citizenship.
What’s more important to me is that no one has demonstrated that he revoked his British citizenship. If he remains a dual citizen, it’s a pretty big issue. From the US State Department‘s own page: “However, dual nationals owe allegiance to both the United States and the foreign country. They are required to obey the laws of both countries. Either country has the right to enforce its laws, particularly if the person later travels there.”
FWIW, I don’t believe McCain was natural born either.
Department of Health in Hawaii has said that he is. Do you have issues with them as well? They not gospel either?
A lawsuit regarding the same questions was thrown out as “not worthy of discussion”.

McCain was born in Panama and I believe that he was not eligible either.
The Hawaiian government has never released an original long form copy of his birth certificate, because he would have to request it. He has not done that; he has fought the release of any and all documents. What is he hiding? Why not just clear it up once and for all?
It was claimed he was born in one hospital. Then it was claimed he was born in another (neither of which apparently has records of his birth). Which one was he born in? We don’t know, or even if he was. Again, why can’t he clear it all up by producing all the documentation demanded in court cases: birth records, passport records, social security records, selective service records, college, law school, Illinois bar, Illinois State Senate, US Senate, medical, etc?
Why don’t you join us in demanding that he prove he is eligible for the most important office in the world?

This is troubling – I don’t believe I have a “long form” certificate for any of my three daughters.

Let’s see. Legal scholars disagreed about McCain’s eligibility. The Senate decided to pass a resolution stating he was eligible. Obviously something was unclear or the Senate wouldn’t have acted. But it’s a lot easier to ridicule than make a case based on merit, isn’t it?
Joe, it’s to Obama’s benefit NOT to clear up matters. By not releasing the records, he keeps eligibility attention focused on the BC (location of birth) and not where it should be…multiple citizenships.
EGV, betcha you do have a copy of the original birth certificate for each of your children. Unless they are adopted and the certificate was amended.

This issue has been before countless courts and has been settled to the satisfaction of all except an extremely vocal minority.

Every human being sitting in my house right now has a long-form birth certificate -notarized and signed- filed in the cabinet in our office.
NOT having a long-form copy of your own birth certificate is strange. My son’s BC was needed for registration to school, DH and I needed ours to get married. Why would you NOT have a copy of your own birth certificate? That’s just ridiculous!
Guess I’m ridiculous – just checked – I have BC’s for everyone in the family – not a one of them is a “long form”. Guess I can’t run for President. Was able to get married though…though maybe you are saying that isn’t legit? Are my kids now illegal?

Sydney, I just did this in response to Cranium on a different thread. However, I did this because I think he may struggle a bit with reading comprehension and I thought this might slow up my words a bit for him. (:
President Barack Hussein Obama’s comment after the seal dropped, claiming that you all know who I am, appeared to reinforce his narcissistic, self centered, self absorbed, over inflated self important behavior, his arrogance, and his condescension.
The man does have a Messiah, Savior, Lord of all
Creation, give of Life, realer of Truth, and all powerful Master complex.
Bow before Him, for to Him we who disagree with Him are all ignorant, stupid, thick headed idiots who just don’t understand, and we don’t realize how good He is and how good the things He and his associates have done for us.
Don’t forget, he despises US citizens, as he has stated in different ways, such as that we are just those people who cling to their guns and their religion, and who are afraid of people who are different from us, and who sells US citizens, and US states down the river, before foreign nations and organizations.
For a person who is supposed to be our President, he certainly has exhausted a great deal of attention, energy, words, and actions to disgrace us, mock us, and demonize us before the rest of the world.

Placing a period between each word is a typed method of duplicating the stilted, staccato like speech pattern some politicians exhibit during their speeches at the point that they rally their “troops” in the audience.
Hillary Clinton is a clear example of a person who uses this technique as she Will.Not.Allow.Mean.Pro.Lifers.To.Steal.Abortion.Rights.Women.
Theres rights are not something that have come easily. We have worked for them and sacrificed for them, and We.Will.Not.Be.Defeated!
Those are examples of how they are used. Just imagine Hillary or Obama is saying such words. They would shout them, with each word acting like a Separate.Sentence.To.Be.Read.As.A.New.Sentence!
In summation, that is how many politicians speak, and people have used this technique on the internet and in documents to duplicate that style as closely as possible.
