Claiming abortion is only a “women’s issue” isolates them in time of crisis
The mentality that abortion is only a women’s issue is not only wrong, it’s polarizing. It leaves women isolated and alone in a time of crisis, and men are alienated – either by denying their responsibility or dismissing their influence. We can’t ignore the fact that men play a significant role in affecting a woman’s decision regarding abortion.

Amen!
And might I add that when a young woman is pregnant and EVERYONE in her circle of influence suggests abortion and nothing else……where is she to go with her thoughts of MAYBE having that baby?
There is no one telling her she CAN DO THIS, helping her, loving her, supporting her.
Coworkers, parents, boyfriend, husband, friends, sisters ALL saying, “Just abort.”
And then backing away as if they have done their job.
A very alienating and desperate place to be. Abortion seems like the only choice.
It truly saddens me when I encounter pro-abort men. This is not about women for them. It is about sex and not having to take responsibility for the baby. What is so scary is that these men due to their cowardice will alllow a woman to be strapped to an operating table to ensure she does not move when the “doctor” inserts objects into her vagina to scrape out the baby or uses vacuum aspiration to suction the baby out. Either way there is scar tissue inside of the vagina and uterus at the end.
These men hide behind “choice” instead of valuing the women they impregnate by not subjecting them to the process I described above. Women talked or coerced into abortions by these men are victimized twice.
I sometimes wonder if these men would be so gung-ho if they were about to have something inserted in a cavity that they realize serves no purpose and may damage them internally?
Pro-abort men are perhaps in need of observing an abortion first-hand. This would convert many…
This is not about women for them. It is about sex and not having to take responsibility for the baby. – that would only apply to about 0.2% of pro-choice men. In fact, some of those who coerce women into aborting probably profess themselves to be anti-choice on any other day, people like DesJarlais. The rest of us, we just support women in whatever choice they make and their fight for reproductive freedom.
Women forced to continue an unwanted or risky pregnancy and give birth are victimized twice.
I sometimes wonder if these men would be so gung-ho if they were about to have something inserted in a cavity that they realize serves no purpose and may damage them internally? – which cavity serves no purpose? I’ve had stuff inserted in a cavity to remove something unwanted and I’m pleased I did ;-)
Too bad the docs were unable to remove his head.
:-) :-) :-) :-) :-)
You are so full of it Reality.
fight for women’s reproductive freedom
support women
The killing simply must continue.
Yes, I am full of
fight for women’s reproductive freedom
support women
which are the things that must continue.
In your convoluted response to my post you did not “dissect” this sentence:
“Pro-abort men are perhaps in need of observing an abortion first-hand. This would convert many…”
You are indeed a selective dude ain’t you “reality.”
Just out of curiosity: when you referred to having something removed from your cavity that was unwanted – was it medically necessary or was it removed for your convenience?
No convolutions “thomas r.” I addressed your points with clarity. I did not address the one you point out because I found it lacked relevancy. Women have abortions, not men. Women who undergo abortions don’t usually become anti-choice, many have more than one. There’s been enough trouble caused by men trying to decide and control what women do with their bodies and their reproduction.
That’s my business.
I’d still like to know which cavity serves no purpose…
“reality” you stated: I’ve had stuff inserted in a cavity to remove something unwanted and I’m pleased I did – why bring it up tmeister if now you are on the offensive with “its my business?”
You clearly brought it up to make a point about inserting (to counteract my very “controversial” “accusation” and now you backtrack, not willing to conclude your point to fully explain your argument. Typical pro-abort mentality to throw something out and when questioned to clarify, retreat…
To acknowledge whether something is medically necessary vs. just for convenience would make you surrender pro-abort logic and fail in your mission.
why bring it up tmeister if now you are on the offensive with “its my business?” – on the offensive? You wondered if ‘these men’ would be so gung-ho if they were about to have something inserted in a cavity that may damage them internally (although I’m still wondering which cavity it is that serves no purpose) and I informed you that I had been through that experience. The whys and wherefores aren’t relevant.
You clearly brought it up to make a point about inserting (to counteract my very “controversial” “accusation” and now you backtrack, not willing to conclude your point to fully explain your argument. Typical pro-abort mentality to throw something out and when questioned to clarify, retreat… – you think what you said was ‘controversial’ or an ‘accusation’? How cute watson. The point of one of ‘these men’ experiencing the sort of experience you refer to is the point. It occurs. The rest doesn’t matter.
To acknowledge whether something is medically necessary vs. just for convenience would make you surrender pro-abort logic and fail in your mission. – most procedures can be found to be medically necessary one way or another ;-)
Would cosmetic surgery qualify for you too “reality?” By stating most, you obviously have no clue..
If people have been disfigured or impeded in some way which cosmetic surgery would improve then yes.
By stating most, I acknowledged the fact that whatever the condition may be, and the circumstances surrounding it, dictates whether medical or surgical intervention is necessary or not. Is that enough of a clue for you “thomas r.”?
I like the way you continue to put my proper name in parenthesis. I have used my full name on this blog a few times but you are still “reality.”
So would you agree then that abortion is cosmetic surgery performed ONLY for the woman’s convenience…
