Procession of Healing TOMORROW
I reported on last year’s Procession of Healing in Knoxville, TN.
This is simply a funeral procession to mourn the aborted dead. Organizers are trying to expand this into a nationwide event held on the same day. This year the event will be tomorrow, May 9 and is expected to double in size. 6 other cities in addition to Knoxville will hold processions: Franklin, NC; Johnson City, TN; Madisonville, TN; Miami, and Minneapolis.
The procession’s purpose is:
… to remember the babies lost to abortion… [and] an invitation for mothers and fathers to come and grieve over a decision they now regret. The Procession of Healing is a remnant of people who believe everyone has a right to live and everyone can be forgiven….

If this notice is too late for you to participate this year, contact organizers and begin plans now for next year.

What a deeply moving, love-filled witness to those cities. May God bless all the participants and may the mothers (and fathers, and grandparents, and siblings…) with empty arms and aching hearts find solace, healing and peace.
I have been given the honor of speaking at the POH in Minneapolis, Minnesota tomorrow. Minnapolis is the only city outside of TN that I know of doing this. We are really geared up and hoping for sunshine in the morning.
Thanks Jill…you rock!!! Our Procession this year will be in Miami and Minneapolis, Johnson City, TN… Knoxville, TN…Franklin, NC and Madisonville, TN. Thanks again, it means so much for you to support us in this way!!!

Last year the POH in Knoxville was held on May 10th, and I participated in it. I have photos posted at: http://www.abortionknoxville.com/51008procession.html
The nice folks who came up with this idea and are working hard to help it grow and spread are from a little church called Trinity Chapel Church.
They conduct the procession in a very conservative way, not even allowing signs to state the purpose of the procession. Last year little black window flags with a white cross were the only things identifying motorists who were participating. Most people didn’t find out what it was about until they watched the news or read about it.
And even with all the precautions they took to try not to offend anyone, there were still some rather nasty attacks in print by some local proaborts. It seems you just can’t express your opposition to elective abortion in any way, shape, or form without becoming a target of their “outrage”. How dare anyone oppose the slaughter of the unborn? What nerve!
Ann Marie,
Sorry I missed it this year! I hope it was amazing!
This year’s Procession of Healing came off without a hitch. Photos: http://www.abortionknoxville.com/5909poh.html
We had 40 cars with over 60 people…freezing cold out and windy…but really wonderful event. I know this will grow!
Ann Marie, do you happen to have any photos of the Minneapolis event you could email me for use in an update post?
