Sunday funnies 11-15-09
UPDATE, 11:55a: Here’s one more pro-life cartoon. I wasn’t sure where the writer was going but checked with a friend at NRLC who explained, “The cartoonist means that Obama thinks we are a bunch of turkeys, and he means to cut our throats.” Ah, ok, got it.

7:31a: I thought last Sunday we would see a lot of political cartoons springing from passage of the Stupak/Pitts pro-life amendment to the House healthcare bill. And so it was.
First, the pro-life view…
by Chip Bok at Townhall.com…

Then the pro-abort view…
by Jim Morin at GoComics.com…

by Steve Sack at GoComics.com…

… and I got a laugh out of this last one by pro-abort Signe Wilkinson at GoComics.com. Wilkinson thought he was so clever to find an apparent inconsistency in our logic but actually made our point. Pro-lifers consistently strive to protect all innocent human life…

God, pro-aborts are idiots.
OOPS! Notice the ‘typo’ in the first cartoon? It should be ‘woman’ and it says ‘this young women’.
Don’t forget liars. That 44,0000 dead due to lack of insurance number is from a study in which they: 1.) asked people 10 years ago if they had insurance, 2.) checked if they were dead after 10 years, 3.) if they were, they said it was because of a lack of insurance, 4.) didn’t bother to check if ANY of those people had gained insurance over that time period (many had), 5.) didn’t bother to look at the cause of death of these people so ended up counting things like car crashes as due to lack of health insurance.
That last cartoon shows that they are not even trying to listen to what we are saying.
Good eye, Pamela!
Yeah, where do they get the figure “44,000” dead from lack of insurance. I have had times in my life with lapse in health insurance and I didn’t drop dead ya know.
I guess they pulled this figure from the NARAL bucket where 6 million a year died from illegal abortions before Roe V Wade, or some figure like that.
So to save potentially, 44,000 lives lets extinguish 1.2 millions other lives. what stupid reasoning.
Hi Xalisae,
Its like the 10,000 who died every year from illegal abortion. This is a number that Dr. Nathanson admits was totally fabricated.
And didn’t PAs wail like a Greek Chorus that poor women going to die like flies from illegal abortion when the Hyde Amendment went into effect?
Even the PAs favorite poster child against against parental consent laws turned out to be a falsehood, however that doesn’t stop them from exploiting the young woman’s death and family tragedy to promote their cause.
Why ruin such great emotional appeal and misconceptions with facts?
H Mary,
“Even the PAs favorite poster child against against parental consent laws turned out to be a falsehood, however that doesn’t stop them from exploiting the young woman’s death and family tragedy to promote their cause.”
Can you refresh my memory? Who are you referring to? Thanks.
Pro-aborts compare dying of disease or natural causes to intentional and deliberate homicide.
Willful idiots. Just consider all the centuries before universal gov’t mandated health insurance. ALL THAT GENOCIDE!!! WOW just think of it, and all the names that the saint and intellectual genius Alan Grayson could read off for centuries to come. All those people who died without insurance, MURDERED, they were! Victims, violated in the most fundamental way of their most fundamental right to other people’s money, labor, services, and resources.
Pro-abortion leftist idiocy at its best. And because they are so morally deficient, they have have no intellectual integrity either and make arguments like the pro-abort ones illustrated above.
Pro aborts make it sound like all abortions will be illegal with the Stupak amendment. As much as we would approve of that, all the amendment does is remove public funding from abortion. I believe many abortions can be done for $500 or less. And yet these pro aborts are screaming from the roof tops.
They aren’t just morons they are evil. Why should anyone be forced to pay for their abortions?
Signe Wilkinson is a woman. But, yeah, she sort of defeats her whole point.
