so sweet, made me tear up.
Okay, I bawled. BAWLED.
That was PRECIOUS!!!! Oh my word. I love it.
I remember when we told our two older children that we were having a baby. It was Christmas morning and they had unwrapped all their gifts. We told them we had one more present but it wouldn’t be here until August. LOL My kids were so happy, they actually cried. And then of course, I cried. :)
Awww, so cute!
Somebody better hurry up and tell all 3 of those people ITS JUST A FETUS and PERSONHOOD CANNOT BE CONFEERED UPON IT YET.
Boy, I bet that mom is feeling some CRAZY encroachment on her bodily autonomy right now.
The video is adorable. But, Kel, your story is the one that almost made me cry!
Courtnay, lol. You are so right. She should have said “You WILL be a big sister when we confer personhood and welcome this fetus into the community of humans! Hooray!”
I never got to tell my son that he was going to be a big brother. My husband was at work when I took the hpt and I couldn’t get a hold of him so I called my sister. She exclaimed “You’re pregnant?” and her husband asked “Who?” and she told him “My sister!” One of her boys overheard and after my sister and I were done talking her son wanted to talk to my son. They are like best friends. Anyhow, he got on the phone and told my son “You’re going to be a big brother! Your mom has a baby in her tummy!” so the cat was out of the bag. And because my son can’t keep a secret to save his life, a few days later at church everyone knew too. I was 2 weeks pregnant but already a ton of people were rejoicing with me.
My parents got me that exact same shirt, over 18 years ago! Not as a way of breaking the news, though. I don’t think I got my shirt until a few days before he was born.
Lol, that’s so cute. When we told our son (two at the time) that he was going to have a little sister, he was furious. “NO! No sister! That’s MY Daddy and MY Mommy.” Yes, he was horribly spoiled lol
when I became an aunt, my sister and brother in law broke the news in a birthday card to me….”Your Birthday gift will arrive in August”…..it was their way of announcing they were expecting…. Now that gift will be 13 years old this year on September 3rd!
I have a cousin whose little girl will be a big sister in reality (when the baby is born) in less than two months. She’s already a big sister, but the BIG SISTER part is coming soon.
Aww, it’s so sweet :’D
I remember when me and my siblings heard that there was another sibling coming, and we were so excited. I think they had friends babysit us when Mom went to the hospital and when our little sis was born my older sister was hopping around and stubbed her toe on our friend’s coffee table.
This video is heartwarming.
Yay for little people! :-D
News Flash: She is a big sister now.
They made that little girl work way too hard for the news but she was so happy!
