  • Clinic Quotes has a chilling reminder of the history that we should not forget. Did you know the company that manufactured the poison gas used in Nazi gas chambers is the same company that obtained the patent for chemical abortion drug RU-486?

  • Ethika Politika displays some of the disrespectful, vile comments that came from social media following Timothy Cardinal Dolan’s closing prayer at the Democratic National Convention last week. Who knew there were so many creative ways to use the “F” word?

  • Live Action begins a four-part series chronicling the Medicaid fraud lawsuit brought against Planned Parenthood of the Heartland by former longtime clinic director Sue Thayer. Thayer was let go after voicing reservations about telemed abortions:

Charges filed include forcing patients to receive “C-mail” (birth control by mail at their homes and dormitories), prescribing drugs without physician involvement, failure to provide follow-up exams after a patient had been on birth control for at least a year, and falsifying documents in order to get taxpayer monies through various state and federal agencies.

  • Fox News has a piece on President Obama’s favorability decline among Catholics and women – a likely backfiring of the “war on women” rhetoric and attacks on religious freedom:

The Obama administration no doubt knew it would lose some support with Catholics in the mandate. But they surely did not anticipate the strong and unified voice with which Catholic leaders, in particular bishops, responded even after the administration offered a compromise widely rejected as an accounting gimmick….

As for whether the government should single out birth control to be mandated and cost-free when so many other drugs are not, again a clear majority of women — sixty-three percent — say “no.” After all, is your mother’s blood pressure medication or your child’s asthma medicine free by federal decree?

  • Mommy Life sees something more behind the latest liberal disparagement of women who choose to stay home and raise children:

I know a lot of us have been lukewarm to [GOP candidate Mitt] Romney, but what I’m seeing is that there is a spiritual battle taking place here that centers around the conflict between those who desire to put our families first and a government that seems completely out of touch with the fact that this is a worthy goal, a government that wants to encroach on the rights of parent and to humiliate women who don’t fall in with the party line.
