Obama invokes sacred pro-life Scripture at National Prayer Breakfast

258957047294288047_Y6z2NNBf_fPsalm 139:13-16 is the go-to Bible passage 90% of the time for pastors planning sermons on the pro-life issue. In it, David eloquently describes human life as a continuum that begins at conception, with God as our Creator:

For you created my inmost being; you knit me together in my mother’s womb. I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful, I know that full well. My frame was not hidden from you when I was made in the secret place. When I was woven together in the depths of the earth, your eyes saw my unformed body. All the days ordained for me were written in your book before one of them came to be.

Offended resident: Pro-life billboard “unfair” to women who abort

I think it’s unfair for women facing what must be the hardest decision of their lives to now have to drive down Ontario Street and be reminded of that, and judged for it, and face more stigma about this really important decision. ~ Pamela Arnott, a resident “offended by the message” of the pro-life billboard […]

Breaking: New reality show to feature post-abortive mothers

I’ve previewed the first episode, and this show is a going to be ground-breaking. A description:

What the unthinkable means

I wished to myself when I woke up this morning that we had a prophet like Isaiah to help us understand what is happening.

Then, of course, I realized we do have Isaiah. And we have history. We have the cycle of the Israelites to teach us, and the cycles of great human civilizations.

Ancient cultures like Egypt, Rome, and Greece all eventually collapsed because the people gave themselves over to idolatry and sexual debauchery.

Among followers of the God of the Bible there may be a similar cycle, but there is always a remnant that holds fast to Him, whom He protects and restores.

The Biblical justification for abortion?

She further stated that: “The angel did not say that you are going to be the mother of God, the angel said: are you willing to do this? She had the choice”. Thereby, pro-choice is encouraged in the Bible and is definitely accepted. ~ Feminists for Choice blogger  Elin, quoting Kentucky Religious Coalition for Reproductive […]

Buddy the Cat important, abortion not so much

Last night while researching my “Pro-life princess bride” post, I had an odd email exchange with blogger Marlene at Royal Musings.

Marlene had some pictures posted of Katie Walker’s wedding I thought I might like to use.

According to Fair Use trademark law I know I can post most photos, even copyrighted, as long as I give proper attribution and follow certain guidelines. I even have an ADF attorney on stand-by who specializes in trademark law, and who intervenes when I get emails ordering me to cease and desist, such as I did for the photos on this post, and this one.

But Marlene was so over-reactionary in the protection of her photos, I thought I would drop her courtesy request, particularly since she seemed to indicate she would grant permission if only asked. Marlene’s response to my request:

Interview: “2016” filmmaker ties Obama’s abortion support to his anti-colonialist beliefs

My husband and I saw the film 2016: Obama’s America last night.

2016 is based on Dinesh D’Souza’s 2010 best-selling book, The Roots of Obama’s Rage. The movie was advertised on this site for several weeks.

Both the book and movie attempt to make sense of Obama’s otherwise inexplicable decisions as president by tying them to his anti-colonialist roots and subsequent belief system. Both of Obama’s parents were anti-colonialists, as was his adolescent mentor, Frank Marshall Davis, and several of his professors and adult peers, particularly Bill Ayers and Reverend Jeremiah Wright.

2016 is a box office hit. As of this weekend 2016 had grossed $18.2 million, making it the highest grossing conservative documentary of all time. 2016 still has a ways to go to compete with its liberal competitor, Fahrenheit 9/11, which grossed $119.2 million.

We found 2016 quite compelling. If nothing else, Obama’s childhood and adult ideological influences would shock American sensibilities.

But I left the movie with a question: How does Obama’s anti-colonial beliefs play into his radical pro-abortion beliefs?
