Pro-life “Dad’s Princess” billboards called “weird” and racist

Anti-abortion billboards targeting predominantly African American communities in Atlanta have many questioning the motivations of Prolife Across America, the organization that erected them…. Atlantans aren’t the only ones up in arms about the posters, which are being called racist. The same signs have been placed in Memphis and African American residents are criticizing them for their […]

Anti-Choice Project launching new chapters

Anti-Choice_ProjectI wanted to spotlight our newest advertiser, the Anti-Choice Project , which is scouting for like-minded pro-life activists to launch new chapters.

Founded in 2009 by longtime pro-life activists Tom Herring and Andrew St.Hilaire (pictured below), Anti-Choice Project’s goal is to “educate Americans about the horror of abortion… through the public display of babies aborted during the 1st trimester of pregnancy.”

  • Michael J. New believes other reasons may be behind the U.S.’s declining abortion rate:

Interestingly, none of these analysts [who claim increased contraception is the reason behind the decline] is willing to consider that shifts in public opinion on abortion may be playing a role. May of 2009 was the first time that a majority of Americans identified themselves as “pro-life” in a Gallup survey. “Pro-life” has outpolled “pro-choice” six out of nine times since the spring of 2009….

Since the abortion rate is falling while the unintended-pregnancy rate is stable, a higher percentage of women facing unintended pregnancies are choosing to carry their children to term. Data from the Department of Health and Human Services support this, pro-lifers should take heart in it.

Inside Congressional caucus briefing on how to block pro-life gains in black community

On May 10 the Congressional Black Caucus and Congressional Pro-Choice Caucus were honorary co-hosts of a wordy briefing entitled, “African Americans’ Attitudes on Abortion, Contraception, and Reproductive, Justice: From Public Opinion to Policymaking,” held at the U.S. Capitol.

On the agenda:

Stanek weekend question: How big a difference do you think those “damned, ubiquitous, cherub-faced, please-mommy-don’t-get-an-abortion” pro-life billboards make?

Tara at Abortion Gang is depressed. Tara recently learned her former lesbian partner and new partner who is pregnant have refused an amniocentesis. The two have decided they will take whatever baby they get, healthy or not, “whatever the universe thr[ows] at them.” Good for them! There’s an interesting subplot in the post of a […]

PETA equates eating Thanksgiving turkeys with eating human babies

People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals is well known to use sensationalism to get noticed. So I hesitate to even draw attention to PETA’s Thanksgiving ploy, because I suppose I’m falling right into their hands. But equating human babies with turkeys bears mention as a glimpse into the warped mind of PETA founder Ingrid […]

Jivin J’s Life Links 7-14-11

by JivinJ, host of the blog, JivinJehoshaphat The Boston Herald has a balanced piece from the Oakland Tribune on pro-life billboards in Oakland, CA. Apparently, the billboards were removed on Monday after pro-aborts started a campaign to take them down. Russian President Dmitry Medvedev signed legislation which included rules on abortion advertising: According to Russian […]

Latino abortion genocide awareness billboards kick off event hosted by Eduardo Verástegui to build pro-life women’s medical center in L.A.

Click to enlarge… The billboard reads, “El lugar mas peligroso para un Latino es el vientre de su madre,” i.e., “The most dangerous place for a Latino is in the womb.” According to The Daily Caller on June 7:
