  • ProLifeBlogs links to an article by Dr. Miriam Grossman discussing how “today’s sex ed curricula are based on the widely-accepted teachings of depraved human beings”:

[I]n 1964 Dr. Mary Calderone founded the Sexuality Information and Education Council of the United States (SIECUS)… with seed money provided by Hugh Hefner….

She told parents, “Children are sexual and think sexual thoughts and do sexual things… parents must accept and honor their child’s erotic potential.”…

Once I understood who the founders were — [Alfred] Kinsey, [Mary] Calderone, [Wardell] Pomeroy, [John] Money, and others — I understood how we got to today’s “comprehensive sexuality education.”…

These men were pedophiles. It was in their interest to see children as miniature adults who enjoyed sexual contact, and had the right to consent to it, without other adults, or the law, interfering.

Response to appeal for happy abortion stories

Jessica Grose… asserts that the way to energize, and gain momentum for, the abortion-rights movement is to trot out “blithe” abortion stories…. Ms. Grose, those essays don’t get mainstream play because they’d make most people angry and very unsympathetic. “I want the baby dead because f*** this baby” isn’t going to win friends. ~ Blogger […]

  • Right to Life of Michigan says abortion advocates like to portray their views as mainstream, but they aren’t – not even among women:

According to the 2013 Gallup poll on abortion, 57% of women believe abortion should be illegal or legal in only a few circumstances, along with 59% of men.

Only 28% of women agree with abortion advocates that abortion should be legal in every circumstance.

  • At Real Choice, Christina Dunigan says abortion advocates omitted crucial information about Beatriz, the woman from El Salvador who delivered a terminally ill child at 27 weeks gestation, in order to make the world believe Beatriz had an abortion:

Their argument was that since Beatriz’s baby was “not viable” due to anencephaly, the c-section was actually a hysterotomy abortion, performed to deliver a baby and then just let it die of prematurity.

Thanks to Melissa for providing links to this Spanish-language article, and this one, which certainly add an interesting big of information: Beatriz had already gone into labor when doctors elected to switch from a vaginal delivery to a c-section to preserve her health….

I’ve also learned that Beatriz and her mother did go to the nursery and see the baby.

In other words: She didn’t have an abortion.

  • At Live Action News, Kristen Hatten discusses “why Kermit Gosnell should be acquitted”:

I want Kermit Gosnell walking the streets. I want him free because there is nothing he did that is incompatible with a pro-abortion ideology. I want him to serve as a constant reminder that abortion and infanticide are the same thing, and it was the Supreme Court’s idea – supported by around half of the citizens of this country – that some doctors are murderers who get to be free citizens.

Disconnect: Is it ever acceptable to rob children of their lives?

… [T]he vast majority of Americans do not consider children to be vermin. They value children highly and are devastated when children are slaughtered. They just don’t make the connection between the visible child in the playground and the invisible child in the womb….

[Abortion providers] make no connection whatsoever between the child-killing that they devote their lives to and the lives of the baby in the stroller or the second-grader on the playground, any more than a Nazi would make a connection between the Jewish grandmother he’s shoving into a mass grave and his own grandmother.

So we need to take this real value that they place on the children that they can see and work with it.
