Pro-life news brief 1-21-13

  • The Crescat discusses her abortion experience:
The glass container was half full and splattered with blood. Even the tube that fed into the container was crusted with blood….

All those graphic photos you’ve ever seen of tiny dismembered arms and legs are accurate. Only this wasn’t just one set of tiny arms and legs… this looked like all the babies that had been aborted that day. All together in one glass container….

They hadn’t even bothered to clean the equipment between patients and I suddenly realized they had every intention of using the same filthy equipment on me.

  • Parenting Freedom highlights a study which suggests bearing more children increases a woman’s lifespan:

Compared with women who had no children, those with two had a 17 percent decreased risk of death. For women with three children there was a 20 percent decreased risk, and this pattern largely continued with additional children.

What is wrong with this flier?

A couple weeks ago a lady struck up a conversation with me as I sat enjoying the weather at an outdoor cafe in Washington, D.C. Not long into it she wondered what I did for a living. I told her pro-life work, which always elicits interesting responses.

But this one was new. “So, are you one of those pro-life crazies?” she asked.

A bit taken aback I hesitated, then answered, “By the definition I expect you use, yes, I am. I believe in protesting and showing photos of aborted babies.”

Abortion proponents profile pro-life leaders and activists

Well it didn’t take long for my new son-in-law to stir up trouble in the U.S. I couldn’t be prouder.

He would be Kiwi Andy Moore, who launched AbortionWiki.org a couple months ago, about the same time Operation Rescue’s Troy Newman launched AbortionDocs.org.

And look at the hornets they have stirred. Pro-life friend Leslie forwarded me this email she received a couple days ago. Click to enlarge…

Stanek weekend question II: Would you entrust the care of your baby to an abortion advocate?

Reader Marie posed this interesting question in an email to me this week. I’ve written before of wondering whether I could have shook the hand of late-term abortionist LeRoy Carhart had he extended it when we were standing in line next to one another waiting to give a statement to the press after the Supreme […]

Pro-lifers crash abortion Christmas party

For the second year in a row pro-lifers crashed an abortion group’s annual Christmas fundraising event. No justice, no peace. On December 12, pro-life activists from Randall Terry’s group Insurrecta Nex disrupted DC Abortion Fund’s “Peace, Joy, and Choice Winter Holiday Party” being held at One Lounge, an upscale bar in Washington, D.C. This year, […]

Life Links 11-30-11

by JivinJ, host of the blog, JivinJehoshaphat The Washington Post covers the Maryland Board of Physicians’ decision to close its investigation into abortionist LeRoy Carhart’s failure to disclose how he would be performing late-term abortions in MD. A human child at 24 weeks gestation was found in a trash can in Manhattan: “The way I […]

Stanek weekend question: Which five living people from the other side would you most like to have dinner with?

This weekend’s question is straightforward: What five living people from the other side of the ideological divide on abortion would you most like to have dinner with? I can only think of four at the moment. I should leave myself space anyway to add one of yours I expect I’ll read and say, “Ah, yes.” […]
