Claim that contraception caused NYC’s big abortion drop defies reality

by Kelli The City’s claim that increased use of contraception is the cause of the substantial decline is quite perplexing, though. While the CDC through its comprehensive National Survey of Family Growth has found steadily declining rates of teenage sexual activity, they have not found substantial increases in contraceptive use. And the City has been […]

Girl Scouts scrubs abortion, Planned Parenthood support from websites

Girl Scouts USA was a founding member of the World Association of Girl Guides and Girl Scouts and is its largest member. In 2008 and 2009 over 60% of WAGGGS’ membership fees ($2.45 million and $2.3 million respectively) came from GSUSA.

Prominently displayed on every Daisy, Brownie, and Girl Scout uniform is the World Trefoil Pin, to “represent their connection to the worldwide sisterhood of Girl Scouting and Girl Guiding.” (Source for graphic here.)

Sunday quote: “Astounding that the birth of a peasant boy 2,000 yrs ago has caused such commotion”

christmas_moscow460It’s the largest celebration around the world each year. Other holidays get a single day, but Christmas is emphasized for an entire month, one twelfth of every year. During the Christmas season, billions of people set aside their normal routines to decorate their homes, send out greeting cards, buy gifts, go to Christmas parties, attend church services, sing Christmas songs, watch Christmas TV specials, and travel long distances to be with their families. Christmas sights and sounds fill the air everywhere….

Breaking: New bombshell analysis of 36 Chinese studies shows abortion increases breast cancer risk by 44%

breakingGuest post by Joel Brind, Ph.D.

“China is on the cusp of a breast cancer epidemic,” acknowledged a prestigious group of American epidemiologists in 2008 in the Journal of the National Cancer Institute.

Studiously avoiding the “A-word” the JNCI group blamed the emerging epidemic on “shifting reproductive trends” among “risk factors associated with economic development [that] are largely unavoidable.”

That’s because NCI still officially denies the reality of the abortion-breast cancer link.

But a new systematic review and meta-analysis of abortion and breast cancer in China was just published last week in the prestigious, peer-reviewed international cancer journal, Cancer Causes and Control, dealing the great wall of denial a serious blow.

The laugh-a-minute abortion telethon

There may not be a more painful oxymoron than “feminist comedian.” MTV flash-in-the-pan Sarah Silverman and The Daily Show with Jon Stewart co-creator Lizz Winstead teamed up in New York City on Nov. 18 for a telethon to fund abortions in Texas via NARAL Pro-Choice America.

Think Jerry’s Kids – children assisted by the Muscular Dystrophy Association – except instead of saving them, the unborn are eliminated. They call that “reproductive justice.”…

  • Clinic Quotes shares an admission from the pro-choice side regarding post-abortion trauma:

Rosemary Candelario, director of Massachusetts Religious Coalition for Reproductive Choice, on why pro-choice groups often claim that abortion does not contribute to emotional trauma for women:

“I think the fear in the [abortion rights] movement is if we admit abortion is hard for some women, then we’re admitting that it’s wrong, which is totally not the case. I’ve heard from women who are having problems dealing with their abortion who are still ardently pro-choice.”

Jew uses faith to justify helping women get abortions

I joined Haven because I am Jewish, and I embrace the tradition of social justice. I wanted to act with ometz, the courage to take risks in pursuing a just cause, and fulfill my obligation of tikkun olam, the call to repair a world rife with inequity. One member of Haven, Rabbi David Adelson, dedicated […]
