Washington Post: “We should have sent a reporter sooner”

We believe the story is deserving of coverage by our own staff, and we intend to send a reporter for the resumption of the trial next week. In retrospect, we should have sent a reporter sooner. ~ Martin Baron, Executive Director of the Washington Post, speaking about the trial of accused mass murderer abortionist, Kermit […]

UPDATE 4/16, 9:50a: The Atlantic has posted 14 possible reasons for the media blackout.

UPDATE 4/14, 5:10p: The Gospel Coalition has posted eight reasons for the media blackout, which are good.

4/11, 4:34p: Living in Chicago, I’ve observed press coverage up close on three of the most notorious mass murderers ever apprehended: Jeffrey Dahmer, John Wayne Gacy, and Richard Speck.

Speck tortured, raped, and murdered eight student nurses in Chicago in 1966. Dahmer murdered 17 boys and men in the Milwaukee/Chicago area between 1978-1991, keeping and eating some of their body parts. Gacy raped and murdered at least 33 boys and men between 1972-1978, burying many in the crawl space of his Chicago suburban home.

In each case the press tripped over themselves to recount every morbid detail, anxious to feed the public’s fascination with the macabre (click to enlarge)…

  • Delaware Online is covering Delaware Right to Life’s call for an investigation into a Delaware Planned Parenthood abortion clinic where 3 patients have been taken away by ambulance in the last month. The article also mentions the assault on Rae Stabosz:

Delaware Right to Life officials are calling for an investigation and eventual closing of the Planned Parenthood operation on Shipley Street, saying members of their group have witnessed three patients being taken by ambulance from the clinic in just over a month’s time.

A fourth woman, who had returned to the clinic after complications from an abortion five days earlier, was accompanied to the emergency room by an anti-abortion sidewalk counselor, said Nicole Collins, president of Delaware Right to Life. That counselor told group officials that part of the fetus had been left inside the woman’s uterus, Collins said.

  • A mother writes to Dear Abby, wondering why she has taken her daughter’s abortion so hard:

Abby, I have taken this really hard. I have cried every day since she had the abortion, and I’m torturing myself thinking this is my fault because I went against everything I believe in when I supported her in her decision.

Steyn: Media silence on abortion and infanticide reflects on America

In 2011, I wrote about mass murder at Kermit Gosnell’s abortion “clinic”: … A man is killing actual living, gurgling, bouncing babies on an industrial scale – and it barely makes the papers. Had he plunged his scissors into the spinal cord of a Democrat politician in Arizona, then The New York Times, ABC, CBS, […]

Stanek Sunday quote: “God used my sister’s death to save me” ~Bobby Schindler

I honestly believe this has saved me. All the focus of me and my family was to save my sister, when, in reality, God used her to save me, perhaps. The way I was living back then I was on the path to eternal damnation. How could I ever thank my sister for what she’s […]

  • Fox News has a piece on President Obama’s favorability decline among Catholics and women – a likely backfiring of the “war on women” rhetoric and attacks on religious freedom:

The Obama administration no doubt knew it would lose some support with Catholics in the mandate. But they surely did not anticipate the strong and unified voice with which Catholic leaders, in particular bishops, responded even after the administration offered a compromise widely rejected as an accounting gimmick….

As for whether the government should single out birth control to be mandated and cost-free when so many other drugs are not, again a clear majority of women — sixty-three percent — say “no.” After all, is your mother’s blood pressure medication or your child’s asthma medicine free by federal decree?

Liberal hypocrisy: “Wanted Dead or Alive” posters

Life in America grows more unsettled by the day under President Barack Obama’s. watch One of many reasons is his administration’s betrayal of justice.

Meanwhile, liberals grow more hypocritical by the day.

Back in 2010 abortion proponents pressured the Obama Justice Department to investigate pro-life activists for distributing “Wanted” posters outing abortionists. Quoting from a CBS News story:
