Last night in an ironically titled episode, “Small Victories,” the NBC show Parenthood included an abortion story line, after one of the characters playing a high school girl found she had been impregnated by her teen boyfriend.

Planned Parenthood CEO Cecile Richards was ecstatic, because her abortion biz was mentioned and featured prominently, including its new logo (see screen shot above)!

Planned Parenthood Action was a little less obvious, simply retweeting that the episode was “refreshing”…

Former NBC and CNN news anchor Campbell Brown penned a New York Times op ed over the weekend entitled, “Planned Parenthood’s self-destructive behavior.”

With such a favorable title, pro-lifers might be tempted to glam on to Brown as one of us. Not so fast.

Before lodging her complaint against Planned Parenthood, Campbell first gave it kudos. She promoted the United States’ largest abortion provider as really not being about that, stating, “Most of Planned Parenthood’s work focuses on health care for low-income women, things like screenings for breast cancer and diabetes, and family planning.”

To back up that claim Campbell parroted Planned Parenthood’s line that “abortions represent only 3 percent of its work,” when in actuality about 10% of Planned Parenthood clients get abortions, according to FactCheck.org, and 38.4% of its clinic income comes from abortion, according to Live Action.

Campbell also acknowledged in her piece she is pro-abortion.

So what was her gist? That Planned Parenthood has morphed into an arm of the Democrat Party, to its detriment:

“Tuesday’s election garnered at least 53 new pro-life votes in the House. Conversely, only 151 winning House candidates were endorsed by Planned Parenthood Action, meaning just 34.7% of the 435 representatives in the 212th Congress will be reliable pro-abortion votes….” Continue reading at the Washington Post.

UPDATE, 11:05a: Let’s put our victory another way.  Planned Parenthood’s endorsed winning House candidates indicate it believes there are only 151* strong abortion proponents out of 435 representatives, or 34.7%. *That number excludes 5 House races that are still uncalled. 10:12a: Here are the rough stats…
