Rick Santorum on the Pope’s “be like rabbits” quote

by Carder Sometimes [it is] very difficult to listen to the Pope and some of the things he says off the cuff, and this is one of them…. When he speaks as the leader of the Catholic Church, I’ll certainly pay attention. But when he speaks in interviews, he’s giving his own opinions, which I […]

New Stanek poll: My pick for 2016 GOP presidential nominee is…

imageI have a new poll question up:

My pick for 2016 Republican presidential nominee is…

Yes, it’s early! But the field is vastly populated with hopefuls, and it’s not too soon for pro-life voices to be heard.

Choices in alpha order are: John Bolton, Jeb Bush, Ben Carson, Chris Christie, Ted Cruz, Mike Huckabee, Rand Paul, Rick Perry, Marco Rubio, Paul Ryan, Rick Santorum, and Scott Walker.

Vote on the lower right side of the home page, but make comments here, not there.

Our previous poll question and responses were:

Rick Santorum: Truth doesn’t change, and it’s on the pro-life side

staneksantorumby Kelli

No one would have predicted that 40 yrs after Roe v. Wade, that teenagers and 20 year olds would be more pro-life than the generation that gave us Roe v. Wade. That tells you that truth is a very stubborn thing. Truth doesn’t go away just because people deny it…. And people, while they don’t want to accept it because it doesn’t fit with how they want to live their lives and the “freedom” that they have, they keep running into it, and when they hear it, they’re troubled by it….

Big name conservatives rally for Todd Akin; GOP establishment warms

The final deadline for Missouri Republican U.S. Senate candidate Todd Akin to drop from the race came and went on September 25, and he did not.

The GOP establishment that had stood alongside Democrats and feminists to castigate Akin for his August 19 “legitimate rape” misstep must now eat crow. The polls and grasp of the U.S. Senate are too close.

Akin regains lead as social conservatives stand by him

If Todd Akin pulls this off, it will be more than he who is vindicated. It was also be the pro-life community.

After supposedly suffering a nine point drop following his infamous rape remark, to fall behind Claire McKaskill 49-44%, could it be that Akin has already recovered? Yes, according to a new poll commissioned by Family Research Council.

If Akin regains his foothold, it will put knee-jerk Republicans in a deservedly tough spot. Two days ago RNC Chairman Reince Priebus insanely declared, “He can be tied, we’re not gonna send him a penny.” Priebus, pictured right, has said he believes life begins at conception, although he must also believe babies whose fathers are rapists can nevertheless be murdered.

Seriously, are Republicans so afraid of feminists, and so afraid of defending the pro-life issue, that they’ll throw themselves under the same bus they threw Akin?

Reported Politico, yesterday:

Santorum gets Standing O for pro-life line in RNCC speech

Without explicitly mentioning abortion, the former Republican presidential candidate propelled the crowd to its feet by championing the GOP as the one party that lifts up all children – “born and unborn.” “I thank God that America still has one party that reaches out their hands in love to lift up all of God’s children […]

“War on Women” 2.0: Obama attacks Romney on Planned Parenthood

The Obama campaign launched a television ad over the weekend attacking Mitt Romney for attacking Planned Parenthood.

Airing in seven battleground states (Colorado, Florida, Iowa, Ohio, Nevada, North Carolina, and Virginia), the ad manages in 30 seconds to hit Romney on several liberal reproductive talking points.

The well-crafted piece starts with a pitchwoman assailing Romney for opposing contraceptives. One must read over what she is saying (see above right) to know the complaint is actually about Romney’s opposition to the Obamacare contraception mandate.
