by Susie Allen, host of the blog, Pro-Life in TN, and Kelli Josh Brahm reprints John Thorp and Clarke Forsythe’s Washington Times article showing how the abortion industry cannot claim abortion is safe with our current system of reporting: Abortion advocates in Congress and in state legislatures claim that abortions are “safe.” Yet numerous, long-standing […]

Pro-choice leaders misrepresent abortion limits

False
I don’t know if they’re ignorant or lying, but pro-abort leaders who should know better are spreading flatly false information about how long in a pregnancy a mother can abort….

“House of Cards” episode features photos of abortion victims

House_of_Cards_Season_1_PosterI’m suddenly hearing and reading about the television series, House of Cards, everywhere.

The show’s backdrop, quoting Wikipedia:

Set in present-day Washington, D.C., House of Cards is the story of Frank Underwood (Kevin Spacey), a Democrat from South Carolina… and House Majority Whip who, after getting passed over for appointment as Secretary of State, decides to exact his revenge on those who betrayed him. The series also stars Robin Wright….

House of Cards is produced by Netflix, which releases an entire season all at once for viewing via its livestream service. Netflix dumped all 13 episodes of season two on February 14. This season Underwood has been appointed vice president.

LA Times columnist compares HHS Mandate objections to 1960s racism

The Supreme Court is expected to decide in the next week or so whether to take up the question of whether a for-profit company can deny its female employees contraception coverage in employer-provided health plans because the company owner has a religious objection. We’re not talking about religious institutions here. We’re talking about a secular […]

Former abortion clinic escort arrested for “bumping” pro-lifer with car

A former escort at a South Carolina abortion clinic decided to start the year off with a bang. Literally.

Larry Carter Center (mug shot right) is a former Green Party candidate for the S.C. House of Representatives and well-known socialist activist. He has also worked as a volunteer escort for the Charleston Women’s Medical Center abortion business.

On January 12, as Carter was driving his teal sedan out of the parking lot of the abortion business, he “bumped” 81-yr-old pro-lifer William Gasque in the knee with his front bumper.

One has to wonder: If the Pill was so successful in the 60’s, would Roe v. Wade and Doe v. Bolton really have been necessary in the 70’s? And why, with the common and increased use of contraceptives so many years later, have abortion numbers continued to skyrocket?

First Supreme Court decision of new session a victory for pro-life activists

Well, hey now, there’s still a bit of justice in the land.

In 2005 pro-life activist Steven Lefemine, pictured right, sued the police department of Greenwood County, South Carolina, for stopping he and his band of 20 pro-life activists with Columbia Christians for Life from displaying graphic images of abortion at a busy intersection. Police maintained the group was creating a disturbance after receiving several complaints.

When police threatened him again at another protest, Lefamine sued in 2008 on the basis that his First Amendment right to free speech was being violated.

Lefamine won his case in federal district court. However, the judge denied Lefemine’s request for reimbursement of attorney fees. This despite the fact that, quoting the Los Angeles Times:

  • Real Choice points out the strange pro-choice phenomenon which ignores women’s deaths due to abortion quackery and instead expresses outrage over slain abortionists.
