by Susie Allen, host of the blog, Pro-Life in TN, and Kelli Americans United for Life applauds Oklahoma Governor Mary Fallin, who “signed into a law a groundbreaking, pro-life measure that passed with tremendous bi-partisan support and will expand the enforcement options for any violation of state abortion laws as well as provide greater protections […]

  • Wesley J. Smith has been writing about the animal rights movement – which sets itself up as anti-human – for quite some time. Now, he says, the UK Green Party “has joined the war on humans”:

The Party’s election platform calls for expanding the UN’s Declaration on Human Rights to all sentient life forms. From the Telegraph story: Article Five of the UN Declaration on Human Rights, banning “inhuman” treatment, is extended to all sentient life forms.

The same prison sentences for the murder and kidnap of humans will apply to crimes involving elephants, monkeys and whales.

  • Reflections of a Paralytic recommends a “must read” article by Jennifer Lahl of The Center for Bioethics in Culture, who asks, “Why don’t Christians see IVF and surrogacy as moral issues?”:

The fact that so many people fail to consider the moral implications of IVF suggests that in the age of fertility treatments, surrogates, and modern family-building via parenting partnerships, a woman’s womb has come to be seen as a somewhat arbitrary location. NBC’s The New Normal quips that women are “Easy-Bake Ovens” and children are “cupcakes.”

  • Americans United for Life shares a press release detailing notable pro-life legislative successes this year.
  • At ProWomanProLife, Andrea Mrozek discusses why she believes the Pill is still so popular despite it being “anti-feminist”:

I believe it is because it is very much promoted in med schools which look to pharmaceuticals for solutions. Doctors are schooled first, later wined and dined by pharmaceutical companies. They are not schooled or wined and dined by Creighton practitioners, for example.

  • The woman from El Salvador whom abortion advocates have been claiming (for weeks) would die if she didn’t get an abortion will have an early Caesarean section delivery of her child next week, according to the Telegraph.

For some reason, the title of one abortion advocate’s article is claiming a Caesarean delivery is an “emergency abortion” though the writer admits it’s not an abortion in the article. They must have really wanted that “life-saving” abortion.

  • This is maybe the weirdest story ever regarding an attempt to raise funds for pro-life commercials. Michael Gardner was sentenced to 13 years in Australia after authorities found that he was using acres of land to grow marijuana. According to Gardner (who thinks he should have been sentenced to 20 years and appealed for a longer sentence), he was hoping to use the profits for “a national anti-abortion campaign. The crop of cannabis was worth nearly $70 million dollars.

  • There really must be something in the records of Planned Parenthood in Kansas as they’ve asked for the records back. We know it’s not patient privacy Planned Parenthood is concerned with, it’s covering up their willingness to not report statutory rape.

  • The Anti-Abortion Gang displays the lack of logic among abortion proponents, who can’t seem to figure out that the opposite of choosing life for one’s preborn child is… choosing what, exactly?
