  • Americans United for Life applauds a coalition of black pastors and leaders in Illinois who are urging the passage of laws to protect women from the same negligent treatment that resulted in the death of Tonya Reaves at a Chicago Planned Parenthood. Reaves died as a result of a botched abortion. Reaves’ family filed a wrongful death suit and PP paid $2M. The coalition is seeking passage of two bills that would require informed consent before an abortion and would also require abortion facilities to have the same standards as ambulatory surgical centers.

Abortion supporters alarmed by surge in abortion clinic closings

The growing number of abortion clinic closures in recent years has apparently reached critical mass. Liberals and the mainstream media are taking notice with alarm.

And either the clinics are closing at such a fast pace abortion supporters can’t keep up, or there have been so many they can’t count them all.

Either way, They can’t get the numbers straight. And it’s all good.

Abortion clinic workers: Be a whistleblower now, not accessory to murder later

By now workers at every late-term abortion clinic in America (and there are way more than four) are buzzing about Kermit Gosnell’s conviction this week of murdering three abortion survivors.

Join #Gosnell TweetFest to break the media blackout

The media is suddenly starting to pay attention to mass murderer Kermit Gosnell, thanks in part to a “tweet fest” currently underway until midnight to “break the media blackout,” as is posted on the Facebook event page launched by Andy Moore, Bryan Kemper, and Troy Newman.

Kudos, too, to pro-life Democrat Kirsten Powers, who also helped light a fire under her liberal friends in the media with her USA Today post.

Per CNN’s Anderson Cooper, within the hour (time stamp is way off)…

One thing to say about late-term abortionist LeRoy Carhart, he is an entrepreneur.

BREAKING: Maryland AG launches criminal investigation against Carhart

UPDATE 2/13 3:27p: I have made a slideshow of photos of some of Carhart’s illegally dumped items, adding a few more photos than I originally posted yesterday.

breaking2/13 12:37p: An investigator with the Environmental Crimes Unit of the Maryland Attorney General’s Office has notified Maryland Coalition for Life that his department is launching a criminal investigation against late-term abortionist LeRoy Carhart’s clinic.

The call to MCFL’s executive director Michael Martelli came yesterday in follow-up to a complaint lodged by Martelli’s group in November 2012.

Planned Parenthood abandons term “pro-choice”

Pro-lifers have always disdained the term “pro-choice,” because it is intentionally ambiguous. It lets abortion supporters off the hook.

Now, apparently even “pro-choice” has become radioactive.

On January 9, with carefully controlled fanfare (no press release, hand-picked reporters), Planned Parenthood announced it was abandoning the term “pro-choice.” From Buzz Feed:
