Sunday Word: “My CHOICE is you, God, first and only.”

My choice is you, God, first and only. And now I find I’m your choice! ~ Psalm 16:5, Message translation, the most fitting use of one’s “choice,” a word that has been selfishly twisted by abortion proponents, such as… My My My My My My My RT @NARAL: MT @Abortion_Rights My life My health My education My choice My […]

LA Health Dept. blocks abortions at new $4 mil NOLA Planned Parenthood, and Cecile Richards is really mad about it

download (3)I’ve written several times about Planned Parenthood’s attempt to build an abortion clinic in New Orleans.

Pro-lifers, including Archbishop Gregory Aymond,  have been valiantly trying to block the completion of this $4 million baby butcher shop.

Well, word came yesterday that the Louisiana Health Department is doing the blocking for us. From chron.com:

Abortion proponent nails one big reason why the “S.S. Abortion” is sinking

2015-01-16_1527

Imani Gandy of RH Reality Check makes a good point: The “S.S. Abortion” is “doomed to forever plugging leaks” as long as its sole focus is on “the legal right to abortion.”

To be sure, S.S. Pro-Life also focuses on the legal right to abortion, blocking it, that is. But we are about so much more than that.

Stanek Sunday funnies, “Islamic terrorists (try to) massacre free speech” edition

This week two Islamic terrorists massacred 12 people in France over offensive cartoons penned against Mohammed by cartoonists at a satirist newspaper.

This violent attack against free speech gripped the world, and of course, their American counterparts. Here are the top five six I thought most insightful. Be sure to vote for your favorite in the poll at the bottom of this post.

Jodi Jacobson, editor-in-chief of the pro-abortion website RH Reality Check, claimed today on Twitter there is no difference between Islamic terrorists and Christian pro-lifers, as documented by blackcommunitynews.com.

As displayed at the bottom of bcn’s post, Jodi and I got into it a bit as well…

House Democrats refuse to let pregnant double-amputee congresswoman vote from home

XXX DNC-HDB1504.JPG A USA NCHT to The Daily Caller for my title. From that piece:

House Democrats are refusing to allow Rep. Tammy Duckworth, a double-amputee veteran, to cast her vote for party leadership from her home in Illinois where she is pregnant and unable to travel.

Duckworth, who lost both legs when her helicopter was shot down in the Iraq War in 2004, sent a letter to Democratic House leadership requesting to cast her vote by proxy, National Journal reports.

Stanek wkend Q: What should Wendy Davis’s follow-up to her paraplegic ad be?

2014-10-11_0616

Yesterday the Wendy Davis campaign released a new ad attacking her Texas gubernatorial opponent Greg Abbott, who is a paraplegic.

The shockingly tasteless ad was immediately condemned not only by Republicans but by… everyone.

The Washington Post called the ad “one of the nastiest campaign ads you will ever see.” WashPo reporter Chris Cillizza tweeted:
