According to NPR:
A brand-new nonprofit organization with a classic attack-group name is airing TV ads in battleground states knocking Obama on his abortion stance.
The Committee for Truth in Politics, which was incorporated just one week ago in NC, is running the ad in PA and WI [and NC]. Showing images of a cooing, yawning baby, the ad says, “Sen. Obama, why did you vote against protecting infants that survive late-term abortions, not once but four times?” It concludes, “Call Senator Obama. Tell him to stop trying to overturn these basic human rights.”
The ad echoes the recent message of Born Alive Truth, an IL 527 organization.
The incorporator and sole director of the Committee for Truth is NC attorney Bill Peaslee, formerly the chief of staff, legal counsel and political director for the NC Republican Party….
Great ad! I also read on Free Republic that the group filed suit for the freedom to run the ad despite the dastardly McCain-Feingold Act…
Today, the Committee for Truth in Politics, Inc. filed suit to protect it from FEC investigation and enforcement action for running an ad, titled Basic Rights, which qualifies as an “electioneering communication” under federal election law, but cannot be regulated because it is protected by the “appeal-to-vote” test announce by Chief Justice Roberts in the 2007 decision of Federal Election Commission v. Wisconsin Right to Life….

Hal, I ditto your question. If she’s not a GREAT singer, than I don’t want to hear it. It’s very, very easy to butcher the National Anthem. If she is capable of doing it, as VERY FEW people are, I don’t have a problem with it. But I have a feeling you guys would just like to shove her up there as a performing monkey.

Since the law in Illinois at the time already protected babies born alive after abortions, voting against the BAIPA did not threaten babies’ lives. This is simply a remix of Jill’s false and dishonorable ad.

It wouldn’t matter who sang it, it would be uncomfortable for Obama, as he refuses to salute the flag during the singing of the anthem at any time. I’d love to watch him try to explain why he refuses to do that during the debate.
Gianna could certainly do the National Anthem. Her voice is beautiful and solid. The range issue might require her to do the types of accomodating that singers like Carly Simon and others have done when they don’t have a particularly high upper range. I’ve heard it beautifully done by singers of very different ranges.
Obama is owned by planned Parenthood. Their constitutents may explain all the 20 dollar donations to his campaign.

HUD: Five Million Fraudulent Mortgages Held by Illegals

One illegal alien was arrested this year in Tucson after allegedly using a stolen social security number to buy two homes and rack up over $780,000 in bad debt.
Some five million fraudulent home mortgages are in the hands of illegal aliens, according to the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development.
It’s not known how many of those have contributed to the subprime housing mortgage meltdown, but it has affected every state, including Arizona.
The problem began years ago when banks were forced to give mortgages without confirming social security numbers or borrower identification. As a result, illegal immigrants were able to obtain home mortgages which they could not afford.

reality, the law had a loophole in that it failed to define “born” — something that’s obvious to a layman but easy enough for an abortionist to weasel around. It’s sort of how William Waddill managed to get away with strangling a newborn in front of multiple witnesses: there was a law on the books with an obscure and highly technical definition of “death” that was enough for a hung jury. On the surface it seems obvious that if the baby is breathing, and you wrap your hands around her throat and choke the life out of her, and the cause of death is manual strangulation, that you’ve killed that baby. But the LAW said otherwise.
We need a law that includes infants that emerge after abortions as “born”, because otherwise attorneys for abortionists point out that nowhere in the law is “born” defined.
Janet, “enjoined” means that somebody went to court complaining that they didn’t like the law, and a judge agreed, and the state is unable to enforce the law until a higher court gives the okay.

The assertion that there are 5 million mortgages held by illegals, if true, raises another disturbing specter: If an illegal can go through the vetting process to secure a mortgage, can it be any more difficult to secure a voter’s registration card? The ACORN types (Obama’s buds) are working to get as many registrations as possible, no questions asked. They are intent on stealing this election.
Another really scary thing about the above is that mainstream dems give a collective yawn to these developments. Their silence is complicity. Is this the year that historians will say was the beginning of the end of our great republic, or will enough fair minded patriots stand up and make themselves heard loud and clear at the polls and send the arrogant young elitist/socialist and his political gadfly mate packing?

Hospitals need parental consent to post pics of newborns. The fact that the Palin baby isn’t shown on the online nursery doesn’t mean there’s no record of his birth. Lots of parents choose not to post their baby’s pics online.

The federal government reimburses hospitals for the costs of caring for illegal immigrants and the uninsured… the money comes through the state and then is supposed to come to hospitals like mine (a county hospital with a huge percentage of patients falling in that category) and instead of giving it to us, Napolitano likes to skim off the top and put that money in the general coffers to offset her budget deficits even if it hurts our hospital… we took care of the patients. We don’t get paid because Napolitano takes it. She’s horrible.

When you first register to vote you either have to have a drivers license or state issued ID or a social security #. If its true about illegal aliens registering to vote, then they can’t do so without obtaining these documents. If you’re here illegally, you can’t really obtain these through legitimate sources, can you?
And we have such high rates of identity theft in this country (especially in border states… my home state of Arizona has the highest in the nation unless someone edged us out since the last time I checked)… nah, there’s no way that they could … gasp… have false documents…. That NEVER happens…. uh, yeah, sure, right….
