IOL has an article reporting 3 South African women have been arrested for murder after one of them allegedly took some abortion pills, the child was born alive, and then was buried alive. They buried the child alive? OMG! Yep. Those monsters deserve to be in jail!!
Too bad abortionists aren’t in jail. I’m all for it. They are serial killers.
How ironic would it be if the biggest publicity hound in the world, Bob Enyart were to go to jail and miss the biggest publicity stunt/circus of the year at Notre Dame.
Unfortunately he won’t go to jail, and doubtless will be shoving Randall Terry and Alan Keyes aside to mug for the cameras as ND.
So they expect us to surrendor to the pro deather values in the culture war?
Obama is actually a culture war aggitator.

Report: One-fourth of overseas votes go uncounted

WASHINGTON (AP) – One out of every four ballots requested by military personnel and other Americans living overseas for the 2008 election may have gone uncounted, according to findings being released at a Senate hearing Wednesday.
The committee, working with the Congressional Research Service, surveyed election offices in seven states with high numbers of military personnel:
California,
Florida,
North Carolina,
Pennsylvania,
Texas,
Washington
and West Virginia.
It said that of 441,000 absentee ballots requested by eligible voters living abroad – mainly active-duty and reserve troops –
more than 98,000 were “lost” ballots that were mailed out but never received by election officials.
Taking into account 13,500 ballots that were rejected for such reasons as a missing signature or failure to notarize, one-quarter of those requesting a ballot were disenfranchised.
The study found that an additional 11,000 ballots were returned as undeliverable.
New York Democrat Senator Charles Schumer said in a statement, there is a chronic problem of military voters being sent a ballot without sufficient time to complete it and send it back. He cited estimates that a ballot can take up to 13 days to reach an overseas voter.[and though the ballots somehow found their way to the soldier voters in remote parts of the world, 25% could not find their way home to the United States of America. Particularly in years when there were elections too close to call.]
Among the states surveyed, California had 30,000 “lost” votes out of 103,000 ballots mailed out. An additional 3,000 ballots were returned as undeliverable and 4,000 were rejected.

The dots, if there are any, are so far apart it is difficult to connect them.
In the 30 plus years that I have believed in and on Jesus I have never met a ‘christian anarchist’ or who one who subscribed to the theology of antinomianism by written or spoken word or by their actions.
I find no support in the ‘book’ for either anarchy or antinomianism.
I lived in Washington State from 1982 to 1992 and although it was quite a culture shock for me, I succesively resisted assimilation into the ‘left coast’ mentality. In fact, it was there I first became active in the ‘pro-life’ movement.
In the ten years that I lived in Bellingham I crossed paths with more than a few anarchists and hedonists and to the person they were all liberal humanists. I never met a pro-lifer who was an anarchist or subscribed to antinomiansim.
I did not interact much with ‘liberal christians’ so I cannot speak for them.
In that ten years I witnessed ‘liberals’ occupy and vandalize private property to protess the lack of ‘affordable housing’. To my knowledge no one was arrested or charged with trespass.
I witnessed ‘liberals’ who were opposed to US military intervention in Central America shut down I-5 and as a result gravely ill people in ambulances stuck in the resultant taffic jam died. No arrests were made.
I witnessed tree hugging ‘liberals’ trespass and drive spikes in a private land owners trees. No arrests were made.
I both witnessed and experienced ‘christians’ who staged a ‘sit in’ (to use term that might be familiar to you) at an abortion facility
that advertised in the five surrounding states, Alaska and Vancouver, B.C., Canada that they killed prenatal children through the second trimester of pregnancy.
No property was damaged, no pregnant women or their children died, but all the ‘christians’ who passively blocked the doors with their bodies were arrested, charged, convicted and sentenced.
The next thing that happened was a Federal Judge by the name of Barbara Rothstein, appointed to the bench by a liberal President Jimmy Carter, issued a state wide injunction prohibiting any future ‘sit ins’ and threatening people who violated her edict with a charge criminal contempt of court.
There was no precedent for her action. It had never happend before or sense in the state of Washington.
There was not a peep of outrage or even disagreement with Rothsteins actions from the ‘liberals’.
Interestingly enough, some of those ‘christian’ people were not intimidated by her threats and continued to do what their conscience constrained them to do.
I suggest you read ‘christian’ Martin Luther King Jr.’s ‘Letter from the Birmingham Jail’ to give you some context and perspective about civil disobedience in the these United States.
Rosa Parks, a ‘christian’, was actively involved the civil rights movement for years before the right set of circumstances arose that constrained her to violate the law and refuse to give up her seat on the bus to another man simply because he was ‘white’.
Were ‘christians’ Rosa Parks and Martin Luther King Jr. ‘anarchists’ and ‘antinomianists’.
But what do I know. I am just mechanic who barely graduated from high school. I do have a library card and I use it.

Bystander, when you publicly attack Bob Enyart (or others) you should cite actual evidence and focus on substantive moral issues.
You called Bob a publicity hound. Only Bob and God can know if that is true.
I can tell you from my first-hand experience, that of the dozens of media requests a year that come to Bob, he makes a strong effort to get me and others, especially young men and women in our Denver pro-life community, to take those print/radio/web/tv interviews, over the years passing many such media opportunities to others.
I’ve firmly decided that if the pro-life movement is to succeed then it must do several things:
1). Avoid the Republican Party; there’s nothing wrong with Republicans, but it makes this seem like a political debate; it’s a human rights issue.
2). Demand more from Democrats; they have just as much potential as Republicans; both parties recognizing that they are both comprised of human beings will go a long way.
3). Work towards other aspects of children’s rights and healthcare just as much as working towards anti-abortion laws.
4). Stop saying that fifty million children have died. Way more than fifty million children have died. Hello- abortion was around much longer than Roe v. Wade. If we stick to Roe v. Wade, then this becomes political warfare, but when we expand our enemy to all abortions, legal or otherwise, then we reach a human rights issue.
Sorry, I just read the article and it made me realize that people must drop the complete dependence upon the Republican Party; they’re wonderful, but political.
The pro-life movement is political, Vannah, but it also works in society in other ways too. The Church’s message is intrinsically pro-life even though its mission is much bigger than the pro-life message. Large American families have traditionally practiced the pro-life message. The pro-life movement also operates crisis pregnancy and adoption centres, offers counselling, exposes Planned Parenthood, and provides pro-life news. I don’t think that the pro-life movement has to be all or nothing as far as political involvement is concerned.
You say that the Democrats have just as much potential as the Republicans. Really? Is that so? The Democrat party is officially “pro-choice”; the Republican party is officially pro-life. And I don’t know enough political theory to argue well, but I believe that a constitutional republic is superior to a democracy. The labels do mean something. If there is no interest in governing well–as in the bread dole of the unlimited democracy–then the undisciplined and sexually promiscuous will strongly influence the decision-making. They are the ones to whom the Democrat party appeals. The American government has already greatly deteriorated from its original republican form, but we should not hasten the deterioration.
If the pro-life movement ever gets big enough, the Democrat party will change its platform just to stay viable. All political parties will be pro-life. On the other hand, if the pro-life movement declines, the Republican party will get rid of its pro-life policies.
