Spotlighting important information gleaned from other pro-life blogs…
According to the report, quoting the National Enquirer, Gibson’s 7 other children are hiring lawyers to guard their inheritance:
“In late April, Mel gathered his children at the family home in Malibu and broke the news that Oksana is pregnant, and he expects them to accept the baby as a new sibling,” a family friend told the magazine.
“They are quite upset. Even though Mel assured them the pregnancy was unplanned, they’re furious with him and say they’re going to take steps to protect their inheritance, which they feel is in jeopardy.”
Only 27% believe the next nominee should be liberal or very liberal. A majority of Americans think the nominee should have experience as a judge but who does not necessarily need to be a woman or a minority.
68% of Americans also said they did not want Roe v. Wade to be overturned, however, the question pertaining to Roe v. Wade was “skewed to misrepresent what Roe did by claiming that it only allows abortion in the 1st trimester rather than the reality that, since Roe, abortion has been and continues to be legal in all 9 months of pregnancy for any reason.”
State police at Hollidaysburg arrested Jonathan Keith Imler, Sr. for attempted criminal homicide and aggravated assault of an unborn child, simple assault, recklessly endangering another person, theft… and corruption of minors.
The victim, a pregnant 17-year-old girl, conceived with her 16-year-old boyfriend. The boyfriend, along with Imler and another cohort, reportedly stole the veterinary chemical from a local farm. The three emptied it into a bottle of Gatorade and the victim’s boyfriend brought the Gatorade to school for her to drink.
With the economy in bad shape, now is not the time to spend tax dollars funding the pro-abortion group.
According to Reis, IL taxpayers have unknowingly provided over $25 million to Planned Parenthood in the past 5 years, about $5 million each year.
Just imagine all of the wonderful things that could be used with twenty-five million dollars. That money could have stayed in the country as something to further education, build roads, repair bridges, set up recycling plants, help the homeless. Or it could have left the U.S. and gone to India to help those who cannot reach clean drinking water, to Darfur to support peacekeepers or provide relief; that money could have helped struggling pregnant women all over the world…
But, instead, it was given to Planned Parenthood. There’s something deeply glum about that.
I’ll believe it when I see it.
My birth state is hopelessly entrenched in liberal
dementia.
Vannah….sorry, but I really, really wish that would be true…but remember, this is IL.
If that $25m did not go to PP …where do you think it would have gone?
Hint: guess why 2 recent governor’s are in hot water right now.
That is so sad about Mel Gibson, but shame on his kids for “protecting their inheritence”! It’s NOT their money and they are NOT entitled to it!
It really does make me sad to see how far MG is going downhill, and how quickly.
Milehimama: I think it’s perhaps a way that the children are “punishing” their father for his bad behaviour.
I’m not one for supporting divorce but this man simply has too many problems and his dear wife has stood by him thick and thin.
It’s time for her to cut the ribbon and save herself before she goes down too.
I think we can only expect Mel to spiral downhill from now.
I always liked Mel Gibson, but you are right he has so many problems. Probably it is the superstardom that has done him in. I remember seeing one of his movies from Australia (Tim) and really enjoyed it. He plays a mildly retarded boy in it.
Pretty sad.
Gibson’s downhill spiral reminds me of the Christian movie, The Wager (highly recommended along with another good movie, Fireproof), only he still needs to make a change of heart and turn away of his troubled ways.
I’m not one for supporting divorce but this man simply has too many problems and his dear wife has stood by him [thru] thick and thin.

I have no idea what the ‘thin’ times were like before MG achieved professional and commercial success, but the ‘thick’ times in terms of dollars and cents have been pretty ‘thick’.
MG’s anti-semitism, alcoholism, and infideltity have certainly tarnished his ‘crown’.
I hope that MG will come to know the fullness of both the love and the forgivess of the ONE whom he so graphically depicted in the ‘Passion of the Christ’.
Mel, it was for ‘freedom, that HE set you free. Do not again take upon yourself the yoke of slavery to sin and death.
