Will Michelle promote partial birth abortion in healthcare pitches?
In a fundraising letter for her husband’s US Senate campaign in February 2004, Michelle Obama called partial birth abortion “a legitimate medical procedure.”
With Politico reporting yesterday Michelle “plans a packed autumn that aides say will include a ‘dedicated focus’ on health insurance reform,” will she be pitching mandated public and private insurance coverage of partial birth abortions?
Oh, I know pba is now illegal, but Michelle also claimed in that fundraising letter a ban against it was “clearly unconstitutional and must be overturned.” Michelle could add relegalizing pba to her healthcare pitch. Click to enlarge…
‘Legitimate medical procedure’? This BARBARIC ‘Frankenstein experiment’ has no place in a civilized society. The fact that she can SMILE while she’s talking about it, and to say that a ban on it is ‘clearly unconstitutional’…everything about this article just infuriates me! Suddenly she has become a doctor AND a Constitution attorney??? Sorry…but this just makes her come across as a complete MORON…just my opinion.
My little girl, well-informed of BHO’s abortion-loving policies, asked me the other day, “Why didn’t Obama kill his children?” to which I could only respond that his two live daughters were fortunate enough to come at a time that was convenient for their parents. We don’t know about any others, but when people are so adamant to support injustice, one’s got to wonder if there is not a personal need to cling to ‘justifying’ barbaric acts against the preborn in the guise of “reproductive rights”.
Good heavens, that’s terrible. I can’t believe anyone would call PBA (or really any abortion) “legitimate health care”. It just isn’t a logical assertion.
She has a depraved mind, just like her husband.
Politico also reported:
“She will do things that fit in with what she cares about, like health care reform and the implications it has for family and kids,” said Camille Johnston, Obama’s director of communications. “She will spend her time focusing on where policy and people intersect.”

Michelle Obama’s support of partial birth abortion only goes to magnify her complete disconnect from reality when it comes to policy and family. The implications of abortion for the American family are mind-boggling. She has her 2.0 children, but shouldn’t she be worried about the rest?
klynn73,
You’ve taught your daughter well.
To claim to be Christian, as the Obama’s do, and to support Partial Birth Abortion, is actually blasphemy.
Why is it blasphemy? Because to claim to be a Christian is to claim that you represent Christ and that your actions are consistent with what Christ would do. I don’t think Jesus would approve of the heinous act of Partial Birth Abortion. It’s like saying, “I’m a Christian and Jesus approves of my adultery”. This is laughable and tragic.
So, the conclusion is that the Obama’s are either incredibly ignorant or intentionally evil or both. In any case, they are not fit to lead and must be thrown out of office.
It was on the news this mroing a mother in AR who had kill her three kids . they are taking the three babby back to new york too lady to rest my pary are with the father who lost his chrilden ; i am truley sorry for your lots
It’s like saying, “I’m a Christian and Jesus approves of my adultery”. This is laughable and tragic.

Or “I’m a Christian and Jesus approves of my support for the death penalty.”
Actually Hal:
You consistently demonstrate your total ignorance of spiritual matters. Of course, that is why you aborted your first two kids and continue to believe that abortion is morally justifiable. Well, one can only help one out of a sewer if they are willing to reach for the hand you offer them.
Jesus does support the death penalty as expressed through his personally appointed Apostle Paul in the book of Romans:
Romans 13:3-5
3For rulers hold no terror for those who do right, but for those who do wrong. Do you want to be free from fear of the one in authority? Then do what is right and he will commend you. 4For he is God’s servant to do you good. But if you do wrong, be afraid, for he does not bear the sword for nothing. He is God’s servant, an agent of wrath to bring punishment on the wrongdoer. 5Therefore, it is necessary to submit to the authorities, not only because of possible punishment but also because of conscience.
So try again oh wise but misguided couselor of the blind.
Oh and this little ity bitsy minor inconsistency Hal……
You think Jesus would be against the death penalty (i.e., the taking of one’s life who took another’s life) and at the same time be for abortion (the taking of an innocent life).
Now Hal:
When you’re driving down the road do you have to really convince yourself that D means forward and R means reverse or do you have to get a Sharpie and write a big black R over the D and a big black D over the R so as to not cause your brain to explode?
Thinking like you think, how did you ever get through law school? Oh, I remember it was a Liberal Law School.
Obama still teaches the constitutionality of PB abortion.
Cranky, That’s REALLY good!
I wonder how Michelle Obama will answer her children when they ask her about their daddy’s failure to vote against partial birth abortion.
She has a depraved mind, just like her husband.

Agreed.
And Hal, you are a typical liberal. Abortion for innocent babies = no problem. Death penalty for criminals = bad

Or “I’m a Christian and Jesus approves of my support for the death penalty.”
——————————————————
HAL,
This ‘what would Jesus do’ approach you have adopted would work a lot better for you if you actually knew Jesus and understood what Jesus said and did.
I can respect people who for conscience sake are opposed to the death penalty or war. But unless you believe Jesus was just using a figure of speech, a turn of a phrase, or a rhetorical flourish to enhance HIS oratory, then you have to conclude that Jesus was advocating a course of action calculated to ensure that no one would survive. That scenario sure sounds like a lethal act to me.
Matt 18:5-6 5 And whoever receives and accepts and welcomes one little child like this for My sake and in My name receives and accepts and welcomes Me.
6 But whoever causes one of these little ones who believe in and acknowledge and cleave to Me to stumble and sin [that is, who entices him or hinders him in right conduct or thought], it would be better ( more expedient and profitable or advantageous) for him to have a great millstone fastened around his neck and to be sunk in the depth of the sea. AMP
Mark 9:42 42 And whoever causes one of these little ones (these believers) who acknowledge and cleave to Me to stumble and sin, it would be better (more profitable and wholesome) for him if a [huge] millstone were hung about his neck, and he were thrown into the sea. AMP
Luke 17:1-2 17:1 AND [Jesus] said to His disciples, Temptations (snares, traps set to entice to sin) are sure to come, but woe to him by or through whom they come!
2 It would be more profitable for him if a millstone were hung around his neck and he were hurled into the sea than that he should cause to sin or be a snare to one of these little ones [lowly in rank or influence]. AMP
At the very least one would have to conclude that Jesus has a special place in HIS heart for children and for babes in Christ no matter what their age.
But I have never met anyone that was born again who did not need saving.
I, chief of sinners and least of the brethren needed and still need a Savior.
yor bro ken
Ken, you left out my favorite one:
“Take heed that ye despise not one of these little ones; for I say unto you, That in heaven their angels do always behold the face of my Father which is in heaven” Matthew 18:10 KJV
Understanding there is order and meaning behind the descriptions we’re given of God’s throne with the elders’, apostles’ and martyrs’ respective places, angels who behold continually the face of God are, indeed, in a priveleged position.
That picture makes me ill. And the woman is smiling! (Was she speaking of PB abortion as this photo was taken?)
And yeah, Hal, it’s pretty bizarre that anyone who thinks the death penalty for criminals is wrong can also think that killing their own babies is just ducky.
Repent and believe the Good News. God will forgive you, but you do need to repent.
klynn73
Excellent passage.
Right on point.
I am glad Holy Spirit brought that one to your memory.
HE is always on the job.
My grandparents on my mothers side of the family were missionary evangelists. My grandmother died and was buried on Prince Edward Island in Canada. My grandfather was not the dominant one in the ministry. When his wife passed away he was at a loss as to how he could continue without her. He asked the LORD to give him help learning the bible.
The LORD anwered his prayer. He came to be known among his colleagues as the ‘walking bible’. You could quote a scripture to him and he would give you chapter and verse. You could give him chapter and verse and he would quote the scripture.
I want to ‘know’ GOD like my grandfather knew the ‘book’. Jesus told the Pharisees you search the scriptures in vain seeking eternal life, yet I AM standing right in front of you do not ‘know’ me. Jesus said we could ‘know’ GOD intimately. In fact HE said, “This is eternal life, that you may ‘know’ God and the Son whom he sent.” In the same way I want to be ‘known’ by God.
Once several years ago at 4:30 in the morning while I was driving to a prayer meeting Holy Spirit spoke to my spirit and asked me, “What do you want from me?”
I recognized HIS voice immediately, but I did not know how to answer his question so I did not respond. Later that same evening, as I was about to go to sleep, Holy Spirit said, “Ask me for my love.” (Jesus said Holy Spirit would teach us how to pray and would even make intercession for us when we did not have the words.) So I asked HIM for his love and went to sleep.
The apostle John wrote that if we pray according to HIS will then we know we have that for which we ask.
I kept expecting that HE would change the way I ‘feel’. Instead HE has continued to change who I am. HE has also manifested HIS love to me in my wife and children. HE has also shown me HIS body. How beautiful the body of Christ. (See Twila Paris).
The only reason I ever got involved in Pro-life work was I was foolish enough to ask HIM to know HIS heart concerning abortion. HE identified abortion as murder. HE asked me, “How does a child that is about murdered by abortion make proper application for aid?”
(Through his/her angels in heaven who constantly behold HIS face?!?)
That was not a rhetorical question and I am still awaiting the answer.
Perhaps HE uses us to intervene and make intercession as well.

“…HAL…

—————————————————-
Hal,
I wish it were that simple.
But you cannot do it by soley by an act of your own will.
Repentance is granted by GOD.
Fret not.
In the fullness of time, at just the right moment, HIS unmerited grace will come and you will experience HIS love and you will jump at the opportunity to be freed from the bondage to the slavery of the fear of death that has plagued you all your life.
Gratefullness will fill your heart.
In an instant you will be changed and HE will continue to change you for the rest of your natural life.
Resistance is futile. HIS love is like the constant dripping that wears away the hardness of your heart. HE just will not stop loving you.
You can delay the inevitable, but in the end HE is inevitable.

Here’s the link to How Beautiful.
I just heard a clip of a speech Michelle made today to some women to pitch the government healthcare takeover. She claimed that when her daughter Sasha had meningitis as a baby she “doesn’t know what she would have done if her baby didn’t have health insurance”. The answer is: “her baby would have been treated in the hospital like the millions of other children in this country who become sick and come to the emergency room with a serious possibly life-threatening disease whether your baby had insurance or not”. I worked in healthcare for years and we NEVER turned away sick patients that needed to be admitted regardless of their ability to pay, although the hospital lost money. Oh, but IF my memory serves me right The University of Chicago Hospital, where Michelle used to work as an administrator, has been investigated for turning away sick patients who could not pay.
Now they are bringing out “the so-called closer” now (that is what the news anchor called her), their big gun, Michelle, to pitch to women for the healthcare takeover. The wife of the “Chosen One”, who wrote a letter supporting partial birth abortion for PP. The two of them who never saw an abortion law they didn’t like or support and he as state senator voted not once, not twice but three times against BAIPA to make sure that if a woman wanted a dead baby she would be sure to get one, even if the baby survived a botched abortion. What a crock!
I’ve never heard even a mention of it anywhere…but it makes me wonder…is there maybe a ‘personal’ reason the Obamas are such pro-aborts? I mean, have they aborted any of THEIR children?
Ken, my message to Hal did not imply any lack of action upon the Holy Spirit’s part.
PLL@10:46am
As if the first thing a terrified parent thinks when their child may be critically ill is “what if I didn’t have insurance”. Give me a break.
I also heard about the University of Chicago where Michelle worked turning patients away.
Like you PLL I have also worked in healthcare for years and you are correct, the child would have been treated no matter what.
I saw how ER and medical services were abused when health care was assumed to be “free”, i.e. insurance or taxpayers were footing the bill and can easily see why costs have skyrocketed. It enrages me when moronic juries give millions to equally moronic plaintiffs who can’t even be responsible for their own stupidity. They think they’re sticking it to the insurance companies. Guess who the insurance companies in turn stick it to with higher costs and fewer services.
Then there’s people who won’t take any responsibility for their own health. People who have plenty of money for cigarettes, booze, drugs, dogs, and tattoos but can’t pay a light bill or pay for a doctor visit.
All I gotta say is good thing Sasha Obama didn’t have lasting brain damage or her parents might’ve wanted to get rid of her! Think of the COST of taking care of a disabled child! UGH!
Bill Clinton lost children to abortion, JFK did also…who knows how many Obama has lost? Someone raised this question in the first couple posts and I agree.

Louise,
I was just poking HAL’s religious side.
HAL raises these ‘scriptural’ points every now and then when, in his view, they seem to support his understanding of how God’s kids ought to behave. But HAL is not really interested in seeing us conform to the image of Christ.
HAL is just trying to ‘poke’ christians and provoke an even more judgemental response than the one he accused us of making in the first place.
I kind of like HAL.
He just can’t stay away and he doesn’t know why.
I give him his due when he gets things right.
I acknowledge my error when HAL correctly points it out. (HAL, remember the ‘jackasses running at large’ ordinance?)
If I keep contradicting HAL’s misunderstanding and misapplication of scripture, maybe HAL will do a little more reading and studying and GOD may open his eyes to the TRUTH.
I want to be there when HAL get’s baptized in water and in the SPIRIT. Now that will be a fiesta! Pray for the fishes! (See Randy Travis)

Speaking of Madame Obama. Hear about her trip to the vegetable market? Secret service, bomb sniffing dogs, an armored limousine, shutting down streets during rush hour….
To think she could have just given her vegetable list to some shmoe who works in the White House kitchen and sent him/her. She could have saved the taxpayers a bundle.
Oh, and does anybody want “in” on a great scam??
They’re selling “carbon offset credits” at San Francisco(Big Surprise!)International Airport. With the swipe of a credit card you can determine your how many pounds of CO2 your trip will produce and can “contribute” to some “greenhouse gas” reducing project in California, a state that is so bankrupt it is holding a state sponsored garage sale.
Wherever PT Barnum is spending eternity, he must be laughing himself stupid.
Hal,
For what its worth, I agree with you. I believe Jesus approves of neither abortion or the death penalty. For that reason I want the churches to be more vocal on the issue, just as vocal as the abortion issue. The RCC and Jesuits around here have done a lot of work with our organization to fight the death penalty in Missouri.
Thanks Mary for your post. We busted our butt when I worked in healthcare taking care of patients no matter whether they had insurance or not. For those who worked in ER, when a “sick” kid came into ER all the staff worked like crazy to take care of that child and NO ONE asked “does this kid have insurance’, “is this kid a legal citizen” or “can these parents afford to pay us and the hospital”? This type of statement by Michelle is an insult to healthcare workers and hospitals who bust their butt to take good care of their patient regardless of their ability to pay.
Thank you PLL@12:02PM
Its so good to find a camrade in arms.
BTW PLL, do you think Natasha Richardson would have had a fighting chance if her accident had occured at an American ski resort, I understand they all have helicopter evacuation?
I can’t imagine a ski resort not having helicopter evacuation considering the traumatic injuries that can result from skiing.
Head injuries being what they are we of course can’t say for certain but if I read the accounts correctly, a great deal of valuable time was wasted by ambulance transport from the ski resort to one facility then another. So far I haven’t read what I consider a completely accurate account so I reserve judgment.
I will maintain though that had she been helicoptered to a medical facility equipped to handle her needs as soon as her symptons began, as she would have been in the US, she may well have had a fighting chance.
Ken, your words are very timely for me, thank you for them and the song link, too. This last year has been a God-led adventure for me as I dared to ask Him, “What can I do?” about abortion. I have always had a heart for these little ones, but felt overwhelmed and even physically ill at the very thought of what happens to them thousands of times every day in this country and around the world. It was much more comfortable to ignore it (other than voting according to my conscience) and give in to the ‘What can one person do?’ mentality.
Last November when I asked that question, I understood clearly He had not put me on this earth to be comfortable. Maybe that sounds simplistic, but acknowledging that and surrendering my comfort was a huge hurdle for me.
So now I Sidewalk Counsel at the very place I’d be nearly physically ill just driving by before. I’d wondered about that, before the first time out, but God never sends us to do His will without equipping us in ways we can’t imagine and even see. He imparts His peace and uses these times, especially, for my spiritual growth. If faith is a muscle, Sidewalk Counseling is one hard-core personal trainer, that’s for sure.
Getting back to the little ones’ whose angels continually behold the face of God the Father, I just have to reiterate how much abortion is spiritual warfare. The other side’s got POWs who don’t even know that that’s what they are (yes, you, Hal) and believe the occupying force means them no harm. The victories outweigh the defeats in pure joy, and God has graciously shown me 2 babies saved, one last Saturday and the other just 2 hours ago. I went to tell some of the others who’d been out earlier (they were at a coffee shop) and said, “You expect horns to blow, or something” and one of them said, “They’re blowing in heaven.” On the car radio on the way home was Receive our Adoration —perfect:
Every soul you’ve saved sings out
everything you’ve made resounds
all creation’s standing now
lifting up your name
We’re joining in the angel’s song
we’re gathered to your ancient throne
children in our Father’s arms
shouting out your praise

What a silly example too. Meningitis???? LOL. No hospital would tell her to take her baby home and forego treatment. As you said – what a crock. Must be the same person writing her speeches as the one who wrote Obama’s saying dentists are getting rich removing tonsils. I must say, Michelle is a little more convincing as an actress than Nancy Pelosi, but that’s not saying much. :)
MO has no soul, class or integrity.
Hi Janet 1:42PM
Michelle might be more convincing an actress because her face isn’t frozen with botox treatments like Nancy’s.
Janet @1:42PM, maybe she’s speaking from first hand experience based on her time at the Univ of Chicago Med Center. Oh wait. The child was insured and the Obamas weren’t low income. Never mind.
“Mrs. Obama first hatched the UCMC program as the “South Side Health Collaborative,” which featured a gang of “counselors” whose job it was to “advise” low-income patients that they would be better off at other hospitals and clinics. The program was so successful in getting rid of unwanted patients that she expanded it, gave it a new name, and hired none other than David Axelrod to sell the program to the public.”

Yes Mary I do believe that Natalie Richardson probably would be alive today if they would have had her airlifted by helicopter and sent to a hospital with a head trauma special unit. They deal with this kind of thing all the time but “TIME” is essential in these cases. If the rumors I heard are correct, I do think it is unfortune that she kept insisting that she was fine until was maybe too late, but with the helicopter they may still have been able to save her.
I guess the reason I was ticked by Michelle Obama’s comment was that I don’t know of any healthcare workers who have the time or give a hoot about whether a patient has insurance when they are diagnosing or treating a sick patient but especially a sick baby.
Hi PLL 6:54PM
Thank you for the feedback. Even if the paramedics had assessed Natasha, its unlikely they would have determined there was a problem.
All too often in the ER we could not determine if a person indeed had a head injury. They were always given instruction sheets with symptoms to observe for and what action should be immediately taken.
That’s why head injuries are so insidious, and deadly. It may be minutes or hours until onset of symptoms. You are absolutely correct, TIME is of the essence when there is an onset of symptoms and immediate transport by helicopter to the nearest facility equipped to handle head trauma is essential.
I understand that within an hour or so after she refused to see paramedics Natasha complained of severe headache and nausea. At that time helicopter transport to the appropriate facility should have been immediately arranged.
You are right about health care workers. I have asked time and again for examples of people left on the street to die or paramedics who refuse to treat those in need. I remember caring for derelicts off the street. Our first question when an accident, overdose, or burn victim came in the ER was never, “who’s paying for this”?
Mary and Prolifer – Those are very sweet sentiments, and, yes, the ER has become a primary care office exactly because people can’t be turned away. But try calling the average practice at Northwestern, Rush, or independent private group for outpatient care and tell them you have Medicaid, Medicare or no insurance and see what the response is. There are several practices at these hospitals who don’t even deal with insurance – pay $5k up front for your prenatal care and delivery, for example, and the onus is on you to deal with the painful insurance companies. There are many, many documented deaths of children and adults who were undertreated of discharged early because of their wallet biopsy.

Sharon,
People also came in droves to the ER because it was “free”, i.e. medicaid, medicare, or insurance was paying for it. It wasn’t unusual for all 5 kids in a family to be brought in for headcolds after midnite because the family wanted to leave for vacation first thing in the morning and didn’t want to wait for the family doctor. It was appalling as well how the “free” rescue squad was so badly abused. I became convinced half the population of this city was born without a sense of embarassment.
The other issue is abuse of insurance companies. Moronic juries give massive payments to equally moronic plaintiffs who can’t even take responsibility for their own stupidity. Who do you think the costs get passed on to when the juries “stick it” to the insurance companies?
A doctor set up a free pre-natal clinic in a low income community near me. Not one woman came in for care. Like it or not, sometimes people simply take NO responsiblity of any kind for their health or that of their children.
Communities have free clinics and doctors who see patients on a sliding scale. There is social services. There are clinics in drug stores that provide basic care at minimal cost. There are walk-in first care centers. I can tell you this, we see our share of low income women in our hospital OB and they have all had pre-natal care. You mention some examples but they are hardly the only hospitals in the country.
I still think the forces of free market and competition will help resolve this situation. The cost of medical care became outrageous after the insurance companies and gov’t got involved.
We need vigorous competition among insurance companies and the ability to shop for insurance across state lines. I understand one southern state has only one health insurance company which means no competition and higher prices. Various options,i.e.some people may prefer only catastrophic insurance coverage, like we have with automobile insurance.
Government involvement is not the answer, it helped create the problem.

For those who’ve been in this longer, yes, it happens, and many have given our ministry permission to use their children’s beautiful pictures and their stories in our brochures/newsletters. What’s more encouraging is the fact that recently we had one woman 6 months along stop and tell those on the sidewalk that we’d given her a brochure and she chose to keep her baby. She hadn’t told us before. Saturday I heard another story of a woman 4 months along who told one of the nuns “your church people helped me keep my baby”. I share these ‘yay, God!’ stories to encourage others because it can be so disheartening otherwise, but I’m convinced for every one we know about, there is at least one more like these last two women.
All I can hope for is that Michelle has a change of heart. I wish that partial birth abortion was as unthinkable to everyone as it is to all of us.
Prettyinpink, I am also both pro-life and anti-death penalty. I agree that Christians who take the anti-death penalty stance should be more vocal, because Christ wouldn’t want us to kill anybody, criminal or not.
Michelle and Barak Obama – twisted.
