Missed this one. Thanks to moderator Chris for the heads up.
On November 12 the art house films division of NBC Universal’s Universal Pictures, Focus Features, announced its film releases for 2010. And one of them not only appears to have a great pro-life theme, it looks very good. Here’s the trailer for Babies

According to the press release…

Babies will open in select cities domestically on Friday, April 16. Focus also has select international rights to the feature….

The film simultaneously follows 4 babies around the world – from birth to first steps. The children are, respectively, in order of on-screen introduction: Ponijao, who lives with her family near Opuwo, Namibia; Bayarjargal, who resides with his family in Mongolia, near Bayanchandmani; Mari, who lives with her family in Tokyo, Japan; and Hattie, who resides with her family in… San Francisco.
Re-defining the nonfiction art form, Babies joyfully captures on film the earliest stages of the journey of humanity that are at once unique and universal to us all.

Well, not really, but I won’t quibble. The journey every human shares obviously begins 9 months prior to birth. But I’ll take this.
Can’t imagine this will light any pro-abort’s fire… except, perhaps, a desire to extinguish… particularly if pro-lifers like me promote it… which I expect is anathema to the film’s promoters… although if they were smart they’d actually advertise their little film on this blog as well as other conservative web sites. (There, I just gave you a little example how my mind’s train of thought runs… :)
I just became a Facebook fan. Am looking forward to following this movie.
