Sunday funnies 6-20-10
This week we saw political cartoonists on the Left as well as the Right piling on Obama. Here are my top 5 favorites, starting with 2 from Michael Ramirez at Townhall.com…

b.o. is setting new benchmarks for low performance.
Jimmy Carter is in danger of be replaced as the example political pundits refer to when they want to give an historical example of a bad president.
The commentators are skipping right over George W. Bush and going right to Jimmy Carter when they are looking for someone with whom to compare b.o.
Jimmy Carter was just incompetent.
Either b.o. is a buffon or he is a saboteur.
The only thing he has done that appears to be producing some positive results is rescuing General Motors. But even that is not for certain.
b.o. attacks British Petroleum as if they deliberately lost control of the oil well in the Gulf of Mexico.
The democRATS in congress as well as most of the republican are more interested in giving the appearance of being outraged than they are in determining all the factors that contributed to the environmental catastrophe.
So are not one of the representatives of the Department of Interiror and/or the Minerals Management Service have been called to testify before congress.
It is comical to see members of congress lampooning the CEO of BP because he does not know the minutiae of every detail concerning the drilling of one well in the Gulf of Mexico while it was in progress.
Yet these same paragons of ignorance signed a 2500 page bill that will effect nearly every facet of american life and they still can’t tell what is in it.
During the bailouts these same characters authorized the expenditiure of billions of federal tax dollars and neither they nor the b.o. regime can account for where it went.
It is a shame the CEO of BP did not have the luxury of speaking as freely as Oliver North did.
There were so many opporunties lost to turn the tables on the lynch mob and point out their glaring failures to provide competent oversight for the government they charged with governing.
The CEO of BP could have point out that even after the company he runs has paid the cost for the clean up they will still have made a profit.
The members of congress can only looking a ballooning annual deficit and alarming national debt.
This is my favorite Obama Cinderella cartoon

Seems unfair to blame the President for the oil slick – he didn’t say “Drill Baby Drill”.
Free Marketeers do not believe the government should poke its nose into business and should have minimal regulation of business – so why blame the President for not regulating business?
Obama forgot that he is commander in chief and he could have actually taken a leadership role in this crisis. Leadership, Mr. Obama. It’s in the dictionary. Under L.

I dont blame him for it but he sure doesn’t want it fixed. He has done everything in his power to make sure that doesn’t happen. Turning away help from other countries, not getting the booms from Maine, stopping the crews for not having enough life jackets, and on and on.
BTW, we SHOULD DRILL BABY DRILL! Places like ANWAR and close to the coast. The danger with deep water drilling should be apparent to all, but the crazy environmentalists zealots dont want that, and now they are reaping their reward.
Oops! ANWR…
