I have a prolife activist acquaintance who once told me that 9-11 is what God sees on a slow day in the abortion clinics in this country.
To this day it still confounds me that our current president could listen to “God *bleep* America!” after what Kevin Cosgrove and company went through.
Raving lunatic.
mr. obama gives his take on religion in america.
usatoday.com/news/opinion/editorials/2006-07-09-forum-religion-obama_x.htm
I, like other progressives [liberals who do not want to be publicly associated with the term], should have realized that when we ignore what it means to be a good [read not conservative] Christian or Muslim or Jew, when we [liberals] discuss religion only in the negative sense of where or how it should not be practiced, when we [liberals] shy away from religious venues because we [liberals] think we’ll be unwelcome, [I would suggest that liberals stay away from ‘religious venues’ because they FEEL uncomfortable there and their humanistic and relativistic perspectives are not well received. I personally welcome liberals to ‘religious’ as well as non-religious venues. I believe it would be mutually beneficial.]
others [non-liberals, you know, the bitter ones, the angry white men, still ‘clinging to their god and their guns’.] will fill the vacuum: those with the most insular views of faith [You would think mr. obama is referring to members of al quaeda or the Taliban, but alas, no. He is referring to conservative and pro-life chrisitians.] ,
or those [non-liberals] who cynically use religion to justify partisan ends. [In mr. obama’s world only liberals like himself can legitimately use ‘religion’ (cynically or not) to justify partisan ends. In mr. obama’s relativistic world, liberals feel they are ‘right’ and therefore any means they use are justitifed by the ends. ]
Liberals equate conservative christians with the taliban or al quaeda.
Actually, they view conservative christians as the greater threat to their agenda because we are the greater impediment to their regress.
Our exisitence causes them more trepidation than the Jew hating mass murderers who kamikazee’d those planes into the World Trade Center because al quaeda and the taliban don’t yet cast votes in our elections.
But as carder pointed out in his post, everyday the dead babies r us folks, kill more people than the the jihadist did on 9/11.
One of my oldest and closest freinds,Douglas Karpiloff, was killed on 9/11.
He was the New York Port Authority’s vice president in charge of security.
Comparing this horrendous event to abortion is extremely offensive to pro-choicers.
But it’s typical of anti-choicers.
Robert,
I am so sorry for your loss.
The events of 9-11 and abortion are BOTH horrific to pro-lifers. There is no reason they can’t be mentioned in the same sentence.
My prayers go out to all who are suffering from the loss of their loved ones.
Why is comparing the murder of 3000 people on 1 day and the murder of 3000 unborn on 1 day offensive to you, Robert?
It’s so horrific. :( Especially the first video.
These poor people had as much choice to their fate as 3-4000 unborn children in this country every day. Someone else chose their fate FOR them.
We will never forget. God rest all of their souls.
Also, Robert, I, too, am sorry for your loss. I’m sure there were several “anti-choicers” who died or lost loved ones on that day as well.
Robert,
I am so sorry for the loss of your friend.
:(
Well, we’re going to have birthday cake today… as horrific as 9/11 was, it was also my son’s 3rd birthday. So, as he turns 12, we’re going to focus on life and moving forward. We did take a brief time today to talk about and remember what happened that day, but I’ve made it a priority not to let that day’s evil detract from this day for him.
My heart and prayers go out to those families directly impacted by the tragedy.
Jill,

Robert,
I’m sorry for your loss.
Robert, it seems that pretty much everything here offends you, so I’m not really sure why you come to this blog.
Happy holidays anyway.
Robert,
WOW!!! I actually agree with you! There is absolutely no comparison between 9/11 terrorism and the terrorism of abortion.
On 9/11 3,000 lives were lost.
Over 3,000 babies are cut down by prochoicers DAILY in the U.S.
Worldwide since 1960 abortionists have murdered over 1.8 BILLION human beings in their mother’s wombs.
So I agree. You and your cohort have far outdone al Quaeda. There is simply no comparison. And nice job trying to misquote me over at my blog. I responded there with the truth, the same truth you either intentionally distorted or distorted through slipshod reading.
