Oh, really? The above not-so-vintage photo was taken during President Obama’s nomination acceptance speech at the Democrat National Convention in August 2008.
A short 2 years later a Politico article today reads like a Who’s Who of pro-abort feminist mostly Democrat ideologues who are in danger of losing their congressional seats. And a related Politico article reports who will be largely responsible for aborting their sorry political butts: Women. Sweet irony…
The White House may view the last 18 months as historic, racking up a legislative scorecard that includes a $787 billion stimulus package and an overhaul of the health care system.
A majority of women, however, see it as a failure, according to a new poll conducted by Kellyanne Conway for The Kitchen Cabinet, a conservative women’s group….
56% of women consider the health care reform law a failure, while 29% view it as a success, according to the poll.
The economic stimulus package is viewed only slightly more favorably: 53% say it was a failure, while 34% say it was a success.
Among independent women… a majority viewed the health care overhaul, the stimulus package, the auto industry bailout and the Troubled Asset Relief Program as failures, the poll found….
The negative take on what the WH views as signature achievements helps explain… why the president and congressional Democrats have seen their approval ratings plunge since early last year and are struggling to gain traction ahead of the midterm elections. Women historically turn out in larger numbers than men, spelling trouble for incumbents.
“People who voted for Obama feel just as betrayed by the outcome as conservatives,” said Sonja Eddings Brown, treasurer and creator of The Kitchen Cabinet. “Everybody realizes we’re burying our kids in debt, and even Democrats realize hope and change had a price tag they didn’t expect.”
In the survey, 41% of the women identified themselves as Democrats, 37% as Republicans and 15% as independents….
“Women are looking at this election almost entirely through an economic lens,” Conway said. “They expect the president to be a mathematician, not a magician. The policies they have seen in the last year literally don’t add with them.”
A New York Times/CBS News poll released last month suggested that women may be less likely to turnout to vote this year, showing less interest in the election than men.
But the Conway survey paints the picture of a more motivated electorate. More than 2/3 of women who are registered to vote said they are 100% “likely to vote.”…

Hopefully a pro-life vote helps mitigate the problems out there. I don’t expect it to magically change anything, but if it helps make things better, that would be great. Gotta vote to do anything, though.

Or more accurately, Married women with children.
There are some exceptions to this in my family. But that is only because they can’t admit to themselves that they are in fact conservative and have more in common with the republican agenda. Some because they have been brain washed by the teacher’s union. One actually said she didn’t care that Ted Kennedy was a murderer. “He has power.” How sick is that? And now Ted is Dead and so is the Kennedy stranglehold on Washington.
The ironic thing is that under Obama ,the abortion rate could decrease markedly because of increased help for poor pregnant women,married or single.
If a hard right politico is elected in 2112, the abortion rate could increase greatly because of disastrous cuts in aid to the poor. Anti-choicers are such hypocrites.
