Lunch Break BONUS: Who should win DWTS?
This one’s for all the DWTS viewers…
After an emotionally charged season, the coveted Mirrorball trophy will be awarded tonight to either Jennifer Grey, Kyle Massey or Bristol Palin. They still have 2 more dances to perform tonight and the combined total of the 4 dances will be the winner. So, who do you think should win and why?
I’m rooting for Kyle for technique and personality but I know Jennifer is the all-around superior performer so either one is fine with me. Bristol, the wild card, did an amazing job in terms of improvement and coming out of her shell but, in my opinion, not good enough to win the trophy. However, listening to an ABC7 critic give his analysis of each performer, he speculates that Jennifer and Bristol will be in the top 2, with Jennifer winning.

I don’t watch, but my bet is on Jennifer Grey, the “Dirty Dancing” girl. (I didn’t see that movie until about fifteen years after it was released and I couldn’t believe the story line. That’s romantic? It is one of the most awful movies ever made, IMO. That includes ALL movies where someone gets a “politically-correct” abortion as if it were just a root canal or something similar.)
I’ve only seen a few seconds of their dances but I agree with each of your points. Jennifer appears to be the better dancer, Kyle has a great personality, and Bristol is much improved.
But people forget the half of the voting that’s up to the public is a total popularity contest. I think if Bristol is second it’s no worse a travesty than the last winner, who was a professional dancer.

For once, I’d love to see a winner that hasn’t had professional dance training at least once in their life or uses dance sometime in their current profession. Sorry, but Jen has had that training when she danced for Dirty Dancing. I was pulling for Bristol, but hoping Kyle would take it if Bristol didn’t get it.
The only thing I can imagine worse that dancing is watching a show about other people dancing.
