Quote of the Day 12-18-10
I suspect the reason more women don’t regret their abortion is because so many women opt to give birth and either parent or place the child for adoption.
~ Well, duh. From the post, “I don’t regret it, I just wish I didn’t remember it,” by Not Guilty at the pro-abortion Abortion Gang blog, December 17

Those that choose to give birth and parent or put their babies up for adoption do not regret the abortions they didn’t have. True that.
So women are experiencing grief after their abortion because of pro-lifers picketing the clinics? What about all the women who I have heard tell their stories and mentioned that there were NO pro-lifers there and to this day they wish SOMEONE had been there saying “don’t kill your baby!” These women still have guilt and yet no pro-lifers were there yelling. How do you wrap a pro-abortion mind around that one?
Sydney,
I wanted them to be out there that day. I was hoping someone would be.
Um.
If you DON’T regret something do you constantly tell yourself and others and write stories and articles about how you don’t regret it?? Does it make it easier to believe the more you say it?
Things I don’t regret aren’t given that much(if any)thought in my life. But maybe that’s just me.
Wow, I went over and read her whole article. What a crock of baloney! She actually believes that women have been aborting for 4000 years and only just now started feeling guilty because of pro-lifers. Our tax dollars at work, educating the young with fiction.
Abortion is a 20th century phenomenon. Historically, infanticide was the preferred method of escaping the responsibilities of parenthood. Abortion was too dangerous for mothers. Only in the late 1960’s did it the business of abortion pick up steam in the US. Prior to the Civil War, abortion was actually rare, as in hardly ever done at all, it was so dangerous. And the reason it was rare was because infections could not be fought with medications yet. A simple cut on the outside of person’s skin could kill him via bacterial infection, much less an invasive procedure!
The abortionists have never liked facts. When does life begin? Oh they hate that one most. How does an embryo develop? Can’t let women know those facts. And the real history of abortion? Oh heck now, they’ve got to convince women that abortion is no different than brushing your teeth. We can’t let that pesky truth get in the way of our $$$ business.
“I suspect the reason more women don’t regret their abortion is because so many women opt to give birth and either parent or place the child for adoption.”
I think of a man and take away reason and accoutability….
Due to what is at minimum, a vacuum of context, a bit of transmogrification is required in order to make this inane jibberish coherent or intelligible.
[The transmogrifier may be pushed to it’s limits and is at risk of permanent damage from exposure to such blathering but the benefits probably outweigh the risks.]
[Disclaimer: Neither the commenter nor the transmogrifier agree with the results. We are just providing a public service.]
The transmogrifier has transmitted it’s findings:
“I am desperate to believe that the reason more socially and ecologically responsible feministas refuse to acknowledge their regret for having been complicit in the death of their own child is they justify their selfishness by asserting repeatedly that the world is already grossly over populated and only irresponsible bubbleheads would continue to birth more suckling leeches when the withered teats of the overburdened motherLESS earth have already been sucked dry.’
In all the abortion stories I’ve heard, only a small handful of women didn’t regret their abortions. The majority of the stories I’ve read and heard the women DO regret the abortion.
Was she REALLY comparing the regret one feels over the “I’m disappointed in you.” that a parent says when catches the kid with his/her hand in the cookie jar? That’s a way different type of regret and IN GENERAL doesn’t lead to the depression and problems abortion often does.
But notice she still managed to compare wrongdoing to another wrongdoing. I thought abortion was an absolute moral good? XD
