BREAKING: 70 “Black Children are an Endangered Species” billboards going up in the City of Angels
Beginning today Los Angelans in predominantly black areas of the metropolis will start seeing a total of 70 billboards pop in in their neighborhoods exposing the abortion industry for targeting African-Americans for abortions.
The “Black Children are an Endangered Species” campaign, first launched in Atlanta, GA, is coming to the Golden State (click to enlarge)…
This is because, according to an upcoming press release:
California is the nation’s abortion capital with over 208,000 abortions (in the latest year reported) among its 424 abortion clinics.
This African-American led initiative exposes Planned Parenthood’s racist and eugenics-based history and unaltered course. According to the CDC, the black abortion rate is 3 times that of whites and 2 times that of all other races combined – differences, which cannot be explained by “lack of access” or “health care disparities.”
The new campaign is being sponsored by 2 nonprofit black-led organizations, the Issues4Life Foundation and the Radiance Foundation, host of TooManyAborted.com.
Spokespersons are Walter Hoye (510-557-7716), Ryan Bomberger (757-535-7926), and Dr. LaVerne Tolbert (32e-216-2551). The group can be emailed at life@issues4life.org.
Hoye is most well-known for violating an Oakland, CA, bubble zone ordinance in 2008. For that he spent 30 days in jail after refusing to tell a judge he would comply with the ordinance. Hoye’s criminal conviction was later overturned, but he is pursuing the constitutionality of the ordinance in civil court, currently awaiting a decision from the 9th Circuit.
Bomberger, who was transracially adopted as a child, is a strong adoption advocate. “Taxpayer-funded Planned Parenthood aborted 324,008 innocent lives and only made 2,405 adoption referrals according to their own 2008 Annual Report,” stated Bomberger in the release, “That’s 135 children killed for every 1 adoption referral. Choice is a sham.”
Tolbert is a former Planned Parenthood board member and knows the abortion chain’s tactics from the inside. “”In California, children are targeted for abortions through school-based clinics and school-linked clinics, which are family planning clinics on or near school grounds. Girls are taken off campus to a Planned Parenthood clinic, where abortions are performed without parental consent or notification.”
The Issues4Life Foundation works with other pro-life African-American organizations nationwide. Hoye, for instance, will participate tonight in a New York City rally to spotlight the staggering rate of abortions of black children in NYC.
A press conference about the LA “Black Children are an Endangered Species” campaign will be held January 15 at 11a PST on at 6146 W. Pico Blvd. in LA.
I will be praying for them!

Hoye is awaiting a decision from the 9th Circus?
Good luck with that.

Here we go again. The number of abortions doesn’t make people an “endangered species.” To be endangered you’d need a low birth rate. As far as I know, African Americans are having enough babies to avoid being “endangered.” Still, it makes a catchy billboard, so I guess that’s all that matters.

Awesome campaign! Congratulations to Ryan Bomberger and his foundation. Sure sounds like and “an endangered species” to me when a racial group that is only 12% of the US population is receiving 40% of the abortions and 90% of PP’s aborturaries are located in inner-city minority neighborhoods. Hmmm. Let’s see, Margaret Sanger’s mantra was “more for the fit, less for the unfit”, Sanger, founder of PP, developed “The Negro Project”, now years later 90% of Sanger’s PPs have their abortuary death chambers located in inner city neighborhoods targeting (or should I say “providing their reproductive services” for $400-500 a pop) where AAs who are only 12% of the US population are receiving 40% of the abortions committed. Oh, I forgot this is all just a coincidence. LOL!!

God Bless our African American women. The AB clinic I frequent on the East side really does target black women. About 96% are black, and many leave that clinic in an ambulance!! Martin Ruddock does sloppy abortions. He could care less if the women die along with their babies. How dare these pro-aborts call abortionists heros?? They are evil creeps filled with greed and contempt for women. My girlfriend was at an Urgi-Care a few months back and struck up a conversation with a young lady in the waiting room. The girl explained that she’d had an abortion earlier that day and was bleeding VERY heavily. My friend is in Silent No More after aborting many years ago herself, and she couldn’t believe that this gal was at an Urgi-Care. Just proves one thing. After they throw the baby in the trash, they throw the women in the trash as well! I don’t know what her outcome was, but I hope she’s okay.

Oh, and the men who get the girls pregnant throw them in the trash after the abortion. I remember when pro abort women used to chant that abortion was an empowering act. I have yet to hear how so. What a train wreck society we are living in today.

@ heather:
my mother worked for Ruddock for years and you’re spot-on about him. Even worse creep once you get to know him personally, and the clinic staff aren’t any better. I never saw care or concern for the women, just exploitation and snarking behind their backs. Money comes first, and if they can get rid of ‘undesirable’ minorities so much the better.
Sick, sad world. I thank God I got out of it alive.

Hi Abigail! Do you live in the Cleveland area?? Ruddock is very evil and dangerous! I have had many conversations with him and it was like talking to a 3 year old. The man is paranoid to boot!….I’m so glad your mom got out!!! Was she a nurse?

I guess the 2 nurses who remain by Murdering Marty’s side are Potia and Caroline!! My friend got a 911 tape from public records and Ruddock botched a job on a 30 year old abortion patient. He finally screams into the 911 tape..”I cannot stop the bleeding and I want her OUT OF HERE”!!!!!

above should say Portia

Uh, that would be because African Americans have a higher rate of unwanted pregnancies. Their birth rate remains above that of white women in the US.
On the billboards – similar ones were in Atlanta, I think just last summer. I asked my wife (she teaches High School) what reaction her kids (almost all black) had to them. She said not much at all, for the most part – and that was my impression of the general populace too.
Within the black community, the status-quo of there being a relatively high rate of single-parent moms, and of unplanned pregnancies in total, is not a secret. Among my wife’s students, there was some feeling that with the billboards, blacks were being viewed as a “herd” rather than as individuals. A few girls mentioned that it’s an individual thing, not some “big plan to stop having kids.”
That makes sense. It’s not like the average given woman, black or otherwise, has an abortion because of some great fear that her group’s birth rate is too high. And hopefully people are not having kids just because they think it’s too low.

PP specifically targets minorities and minority neighborhoods. PP has its roots in Margaret Sanger who called African Americans “human weeds.” She was a racist and eugenicist who wanted contraception and abortion to control the populations of those she deemed undesirable.
She would be so proud!!!!!
Come on Doug. Make it your New Years resolution to watch Maafa 21!!

Heather,
my mom was a nurse, in Toledo not Cleveland, although there used to be some staff crossover and still may be. My abortion was in Cleveland. Read my blog (linked from my name) and get in touch. I would love to connect with the Cleveland pro-lifers. :)

Carla, with all due respect, the black birth rate is still higher than that of white Americans. This talk of “genocide” is silly, frankly.

.
Actually the birthrate for African Americans, whose grandparents were born in the USA, is about as low as whites. However, significant immigration from Africa bumps it up just a little. About 1 in 8 African Americans are first, second or third generation Americans.

How about citing your sources, ya’ll?

Carder, pretty soon now we’ll get the official 2010 census figures, and that’ll be a good resource.

Hippie, so are you saying it’s okay for those of the 1st, 2nd, or 3rd generations to have abortions? : P
You may be right on the “about as low as whites,” but obviously that would not refute what I said, and the point remains – why in the world would a given black woman with an unwanted pregnancy worry about the overall birth rate or the overall abortion rate?

Perhaps she wouldn’t. But in the black community, abortion has been a taboo topic. Awhile ago at the essence.com website (Essence is a magazine for black women), there was an article about the billboards, which generated some pretty intense comments. Like most women’s magazines, Essence is pro-abortion and has lots of silly stuff in it, so I rarely read it. But these billboards should stimulate dialogue about the issue, at the very least.

Thank you, Rapnsum. You made my day!
We need to not just “talk the talk” but “walk the walk.” We need to reach out to young women in crisis pregnancies and tell them there are peaceful, nonviolent solutions out there and that there is help available. We need more African American families to become foster parents and adopt. We need to strengthen and nurture our families. It won’t be easy but it can be done.
When I started being active in the prolife movement, there were very few people of color involved. I usually was the only one. Now I’m seeing more and more. Thank you God!

Just read the billboard again.
How many abortions are TOO MANY to a pro abort? I mean is the sky the limit here?
Joan? Doug? CC?
As many as are “needed” I am assuming.
Keep backing up, backing away, saying it’s her choice and never offering a hand to someone who would have that baby with a little support!!!

“How many abortions are TOO MANY”
Carla, I’d rather see pregnancy prevented than an abortion take place, so in that sense, I’d say “any.”
And of course reality is that some unwanted pregnancies are still going to occur. There, I’d say more abortions than there are unwanted pregnancies is too many.

Doug,
I would rather see babies born then aborted. Every abortion is one too many.
I think that is what you meant. In fact I am sure of it.
“unwanted” is not a condition of a child but an attitude of adults.
I love ya, man. You know that. Praying that your eyes be opened to the truth.
I wish you much luck with some of the passionate prolifers on this site. Ninek, MaryRose, MaryLee, Praxedes, Xalisae…….to name a few. Things have changed here Doug.

Huh? Doug, is that the same as saying that you should not abort wanted pregnancies?

I agree – it comes from the adults.
Speaking of time going by – I’m having a big discussion with MK and John McDonell right now on Valerie’s site.
