Cowards from the “waist up”: Planned Parenthood refuses to debate Lila Rose on CNN
Planned Parenthood has refused to debate Lila Rose on CNN. Reps say they will only discuss the sex trafficking sting AFTER Lila’s segment airs but “declined to appear side-by-side” with Lila on the show.
Cowards from the “waist up.”
They won’t take on people their own size.
More like “Cowards from the top on down…”

I wouldn’t exactly call Lila Rose the same size as PP. As far as industry, LiveAction is much smaller, but for ethics and morality, she dwarfs them. :)

I can’t figure out Planned Parenthood’s PR strategy with this who fiasco. They have egg on their face and they have no consistent message. The NJ affiliate fired the director of the clinic, while the National PP group calls the sting a bunch of lies. Well, if it was a bunch of lies, then why fire the director?
When they can’t even speak straight, let alone debate a pro-life rising star like Rose, you know you’ve got them on their heels.

Ask Planned Parenthood if they would have killed Lila Rose 23 years ago when she was an unborn child.
Ask Planned Parenthood if they would have killed everyone watching the television show in which the question is asked when they were unborn children.
Ask Planned Parenthood if they would have killed everyone alive today when they were unborn children.

Joe,
Well, they couldn’t keep the mothers in such crisis without options you see! Options, Joe! It’s all about the options! There’s the option to abort, or the option to…. um….
Well, there’s surgical or there’s medical, anyway.
Would you also like a shoebox full of ashes? Or a baptism? We can refer you, for sure! Maybe some birth control? Or some STD testing?

LOL! HA! Dear Izabel, this is a PROLIFE BLOG founded and written by a PROLIFE CHAMPION, Jill Stanek, who confronted her ex-employer, the pro-death Christ Hospital, over leaving babies who survived botched abortions to die in a soiled utility while they took their last breaths!! And your point is?
Go to your pro-death blogs to lament and justify how PP is being exposed for promoting sexual slavery by child predators and for PP recommending “alternative sexual activity” be performed by underage minors on adults.

It’s unfortunate how the point is being lost in the rhetoric. It was horrific to see the take of the PP worker’s vastly inappropriate response to scenarios for underaged prostitues. And PP should be ashamed and be very focused on updating training to ensure that this type of behavior never happens again.
However, trying to take PP down in this age of rampant underage pregnancies and the good that they do astounds me. Instead of focusing on taking PP down, why not focus on promoting programs that help prevent underage pregnancy (more broadly than “just say no”) For instance, birth control to prevent pregnancies, programs that uplift girls, etc. I agree that abortion is a horrible choice, but why not solve the problem directly, such as why girls are becoming pregnant and why girls underaged are forced into prostitution?

@ Carole 3:05 p.m. “the good that they do”? Riddle me this: how much sewage can be added to your glass of pure spring water before it’s too much sewage for you to drink?
324,008 children died at the hands of PP abortionists in 2009, with $363 million in federal money going to this “super duper” organization. You say in the same paragraph that “abortion is a horrible choice”, but suggest PP is necessary in “this age of rampant underage pregnancies”. I recommend you look at the rest of Live Action’s videos. This one employee is NOT acting in an isolated fashion. Rule #1 = do not expect ethical behavior from those who profit from murdering the most defenseless and exploiting and harming women.

Carole,
Hang around a little longer. A little while ago, the blog linked to this study showing that birth control didn’t actually help reduce the rate of teen pregnancy but it did increase the rate of STDs. http://www.telegraph.co.uk/health/8291468/Morning-after-pill-handout-causes-rise-in-teenage-sexual-disease-study-finds.html
Is this the best way we have of uplifting girls? Sending them to PP? Encouraging them to engage in sexual activity at a young age? I guarantee you, there are better ways to be a positive and uplifting force in girls’ & young women’s lives.

My goodness, I’m afraid I am on the wrong site. I was hoping to have a fair minded exchange of ideas – and now I feel like words were put in my mouth.
Somehow my words were meant to say:
– PP is the place to go to solve the teenage pregnancy problem (Not my belief)
– PP promotes teenage sexual activity (not my belief)
– Proper use of birth control creates STDs (not by belief. Any proper training on birth control methods describes what methods do / do not protect against STDs).
SO GLAD to see agreement that there are other ways to be positive, uplifting forces for girls!! That I’ll agree to – and was really my main point! Let’s do what we can to uplift girls so that they know that they have opportunities in their live, feel confident in who they are, and don’t need sex to make them feel accepted. Time for me to leave it seems: This is not the right site for me to find common ground across diverging opinions.

Izabel & Carole,
As a woman who once upon a time was a client of Planned Parenthood for a long time–I assure you this is the tip of the iceberg as far as their lies & hypocrisy.
If they are Pro-choice then why do they only offer services for one of those choices–abortion. Why do they not offer prenatal/OBGYN care if the woman chooses to have the baby? Why do they not have their own in house adoption counseling?
I bought their low priced lies along with their contraception. They failed to inform me that the pregnancy prevention rate that is advertised came from a study where the average age of the women were 35yo. So, when I found myself pregnant & went back to my “crusaders of women’s rights” for my CHOICES. I was lectured/coerced by counselor/nurse and physician to abort. I asked for info/stats on teen parenting–none available. I asked for info/stats on adoption–none available. Planned parenthood is NOT pro-choice, they are pro-abortion–that is a Big difference.
I thankfully disregarded their repeated encouragement to abort my child. I had my son & finished college despite their warning that it was near impossible to do. I have worked in Pediatrics & for the past 10yrs I volunteer doing sex ed lectures to junior high/high school students and volunteer at a free prolife pregnancy clinic.
Story after story could be told of girls who are lied to, bullied and not rescued from illegal sexual situations. The organization needs to loose its Federal funding IMMEDIATELY. If you support them–donate to them yourself.

Thank you Jenny2 for your comment. We need more women that have dealt with PPH and escaped to come forward.
Birth control increases abortion. Birth control has a failure rate that PPH takes advantage of, especially the low dose birth control that they hand out. Women need to wake up to being used and abused by men that just want sex and PPH that just wants their money.

This is a pro-life blog. You know what blogs are right? Anyone can write a blog. Try it. Lots of people use WordPress, you might want to give it a go. When PP fans get on this blog and try to convince us of how wonderful they are, I can only envision how different are the working class people who volunteer at CPCs as compared to Cecile’s fancy lifestyle financed by the blood of dead babies. Not tissue, not products of conception. What they are: dead babies. Not ‘not a person yet’, not ‘punishment for sex’. What they are: dead babies. A rose by any other name would smell as sweet. A baby by any other name is just as dead if his mother crosses the threshold of your corporate abortuary.

Carole,
I think perhaps you misread the intent in my post. I’m quite happy to have an open dialogue. I just don’t believe that any of the services PP offers are actually uplifting. And like Jenny2, I was a client at PP until they tried to push me into an abortion.
That was when I began to open my eyes, stopped drinking the water, and realized that PP, like most other businesses, is in it for the money.

Jenny2, So happy to hear that you followed your heart and did the right thing by you and your child. Great news! Great job!
I had the reverse experience at PP. It makes me wonder if we’re talking about the same place. I can tell that it is wise for me to look into PP further to check out for the facts and policy.
Sorry that I have to drop out, because there are a lot of well-intentioned people here. Just absolutely not the right site for me. It amazes me what is taken \ twisted for fact.
Good luck.

However, trying to take PP down in this age of rampant underage pregnancies and the good that they do astounds me.
Why? They are the largest abortion provider in the country. In the world. Furthermore, they defend abortion every chance they get. While I don’t deny that they may do a lot of good things, some things are so bad that, if you support them, no amount of “other good stuff” can redeem that one bad thing. It poisons everything. And until that bad thing is dealt with and gotten rid of, nothing good that is done on top of it or along with it could possibly make up for it.
Abortion is that bad.
As long as Planned Parenthood provides, promotes, and protects abortion, they will also be a bad organization. If they stop defending and doing abortion, then we can talk about throwing the baby out with the bathwater (a very ironically appropriate phrase for this situation).

Sad but true, Ninek.
Gifts rejected. Lives lost.
But those providing shelter for abortuaries like PP would dehumanize them, politicize and use their little lost lives for agenda promotion. And sadly, some on the anti-abortion side…mostly political bobbleheads, would also use their deaths as a way to promote agenda. :( Thank you for bringing the subject back into its light:
Abortion is no less than the taking of a baby’s life, for the mere ‘crime’ of existing.

exactly Mary Rose. Money speaks and that is what they are interested in.
I’ve seen it myself – they even offer abortions at discounted prices to poor women – knowing that they will get paid anyway – from the state.
We even have had girls complain that they did not want to go onto the pill, but the PP and the Mom insisted. PP knows that girls forget the pill, and voila! pregnancy! (how can that be??) We even had girls get the pill – and not be told about different antibiotics that render it useless – and I know one young woman who now has to have a double lung transplant, due to a clot that traveled to her lungs as a result of the pill.
Ah – ca-ching! the sound PP loves to hear.

Thank you for the compliment.
Over the past 10 yrs I have lectured–we average about 8,000 new students/yr being given FULL abstinence/sex ed. Two yrs ago the politicians in DC cut all Federal funding for abstinence education. How coincidental that the recent Guttmacher study showed that the pregnancy rates have now suddenly started to RISE over the past 2yrs after a nearly 2 decade steady decline.
Considering I volunteer–lack of federal funding didn’t affect me. What is horrible is you have advocates for Planned Parenthood that are paid “sex ed experts” that are little more than minimally trained lecturers that charge $60/hr. I go to the schools and tell them I have a degree as an M.A. & in Allied Heath studies and that I train nursing students & health ed students at 2 local colleges regarding STI trends–then I tell them I don’t charge to give my lectures… Guess who they pick :)
I believe the truth comes free of charge–its the lies you pay for!

and how many people know that the pill is made with artificial (man-made) hormones and is considered a class I carcinogen. Ever hear of Asbestos? Tobacco? Same category. We are hoping that people wake up. There are natural hormones that can be prescribed for specific conditions and does not do harm (not like the artificial). We are hoping that many start waking up before it’s too late…

joyfromillinois,
So sad :(
I do believe that there are many many women involved in PP who mean well. But at the top, as Abby Johnson describes so well for us, there is only interest in what profits Planned Parenthood. And what profits PP is abortion.
“When I looked at the numbers, I did a double take. I noticed that the client goals related to family planning hadn’t changed much, but the client goals under abortion services had increased significantly….
“…I came away from that meeting with the clear and distinct understanding that I was to get my priorities straight, that abortion was where my priorities needed to be because that was where the revenue was. This meant that my job as the clinic director was to find a way to increase the number of abortions at my clinic.“

Carole – don’t drop out. I have learned a lot – and the info on here is something you won’t get on the Main Stream Media. we are not discounting your good experience – just calling people to a high standard of morality.
If there was a business that did wrong, and people knew – would you frequent them? For example – if there was a business owner that was a know racist – would you walk into his store – or would you send your business elsewhere? That is the point. Please stay – learn – and that does not discount your experience – but know that others have not had the same positive experience, and maybe we are called to a higher standard than what we thought of for ourselves.
i know that now, I am very choosy regarding who I support with my charity dollars, and my standards have changed. I was a good person then – and now I am still a good person and much more choosey.
stay, learn, love. What was your good experience? It’s good to hear something positive! ;)

Carole, PP is NO good. They are predators. They put girls on large doses of hormones over extended periods of time and promote them to engage in unsafe behaviours and then commit abortion on the minors when the drugs fail. Planned Parenthood is a predator of unemancipated minors and they are open about fighting in court to keep the ability to conceal what they do from the minor’s legal guardian. They are currently using our government to aid them to the tune of $300,000,0000 annually and our courts to conceal their predatory practices. It is time for “Choice on Earth” Christmas campaigns to come to an end. For good. What Lila Rose exposed is that Planned Parenthood’s vile child predatory behaviours are not just for the unborn.

Three New Jersey Planned Parenthoods have received bomb threats. Is that an acceptable form of protest for the “pro-life” movement?
And if Planned Parenthood is closed, where will poor women go for routine gynecological care? You do realize that neighborhood health centers are already financially strained.
And if Planned Parenthood closes, women who have health care plans that cover abortions will get their abortions at hospitals. Poor women won’t get abortions. So I guess what the “pro-life” movement wants is more poor women having babies?
But back to the bomb threats. What would Jesus say?

Ok one more time… There has not been a single charge filed as a result of anything Lila Rose has done… NOT ONE. The reason why is when you view her footage unedited there are no laws being broken. She spoon feeds you guys exactly what you want to hear… I heard the “pimps” voice prick up when she said that book was her “bible”… Lila has done so many of these videos without any charges that no one even pays attention to them… She got what a minute and a half on the O’riley Factor? Three minutes on CNN? lol Nobody believes her because she keeps crying wolf. This pathetic woman is making her living off of PP and you people.
I can’t believe how you guys just suck up these stories without collaboration or unbiased evidence. If her footage is SO damning then why not release UNEDITED?!?!?! She has not released even one video that’s not edited in all this time? With good editing you can make Sly Stallone look like he is 35yo and beating people up again. Ask yourself why not release one video that’s not edited? What is she hiding? We found out how much James O’keefe was hiding in that pimp ACORN video… You guys keep sucking this stuff up but know that the truth is still lying on the editing room floor.

Biggz, first of all, you mean “corroboration”, not collaboration. Invest in a dictionary!
Second of all, they *have* posted the unedited video, just like before. Stop denying reality and watch, and perhaps weep if you have a conscience. There’s not enough makeup in the world to cover up that kind of ugly.

Biggz – first of all – violence is not acceptable to pro-life people. Not any. If ‘pro-lifers’ want violence – they are not truly pro-life.
regarding full, unedited videos – Lila makes them available – and she did with this one also. See for yourself – there is nothing changed other than making the video to the point. No problem.
So you don’t like Lila – don’t deny it. You don;t like it that she has made public what PP and others want private. Look deep – this is the outing of evil – and you want abortion and its associated evils available, quiet and behind closed doors.
But good will always win out. And regular folk – those who never thought about this deeply before will come forward. They will demand better. As with any atrocity – especially one that others try to keep hidden – the Truth peeks out and shines.
There are too many things converging now – and Lila probably has another few videos to come. She is allowing PP and other pro-aborts to counter with their excuses/attacks – and she has an answer for each one.
That is one smart woman. Good thing she wants the Good – supernaturally and earthly.
The only thing we are worried about being on the floor is the blood of innocents and the blood of women who trust their doctors, but are betrayed…

We want all conceived babies to develop safely in the womb and be born alive. Disease and accidents are tragic enough; why kill healthy children on purpose?
CC, you know that ole Jewish carpenter I prayed to for you? Nine days in a row? Yep, the one born in a manger, in a stable, yes Him. We’d like more like Him. And Abraham Lincoln, who did his math problems on the back of a shovel with a piece of charcoal. Yes, we like him too. Poor people’s babies are just as beautiful as rich people’s babies, CC. Even you must have been a beautiful baby, though today you are poor in spirit. Blessed be the poor in spirit.

Izabel,
Do you want to talk about fair, unbiased journalism? Do you think last weekend’s complete lack of coverage of the March for Life, with an estimated 300,000 – 400,000 people in the nation’s capital plus 50,000 in San Francisco, was fair and unbiased?
Whether you or any editor would agree with the premise for the march is irrelevant. Over 400,000 American citizens, including several Congressmen and women, raised their voices last weekend about a hot-button, controversial, highly politicized issue. CNN’s website had a brief blurb in their “Faith blog” section with a picture of one marcher, and the NY Times had nothing but a slideshow of 8 pictures, 4 of which depicted Catholics praying and none showing the full scope of all the marchers. THAT is not responsible, fair, unbiased journalism, and as a student studying journalism and a non-Catholic attendee of the March, I feel betrayed by the news organizations which refused to cover an opinion that was not their own.
Log your complaints with CNN and the NY Times, the manifestation of “journalism” of our nation.

When I was in college, back in dinosaur times, students would pull the fire alarm or call in bomb threats during finals week – when they panicked about tomorrow’s exam. But seriously, I am totally against violence or the threat of it. Yes, I do myself like to use ‘war’ vocabulary when talking about the pro-life movement, but the war 99.9% of us wage is absolutely non-violent. I have said here before, I wish Tiller himself had lived. Who knows, his repentance and salvation could have been mere weeks, days, or minutes before his murder. Norma McCorvey’s house was bombed, as she wrote in her book Won By Love, but thank God she didn’t die that night!
Maria, at the West Coast Walk (40-50k) a guy told a story: he called the local news network to ask why they weren’t covering the Walk and they said, “It happens every year; it’s not news.” He replied, “Every winter in the northeast, it snows, and what’s on the news every night? Snow!”

Obviously bomb threats are unacceptable. Though I have heard a lot of people ask, “Who Would Jesus Bomb?” Actually, that question has an answer. Read Luke 10:8-12 and you’ll find out who Jesus would bomb.

Jim,
At every moment the nation has been torn apart, it has been over the most egregious human rights issues, beginning with our revolution, then over slavery, then over segregation and the second-class status of blacks, and now abortion.
At every turn, authentic Christianity was there to condemn the injustice. So were the secular humanists.
How black is your heart that you could witness a PP nurse manager conspiring to keep child sex slaves imprisoned in desolation and utter the words:
“As for Ms. Rose, she’ll get what she deserves.”
For such an expose, she merits the Presidential Medal of Freedom, and not your seething hatred.

I bet 10mil that fellow there is pro-“choice”. I can tell because he just described his glee at removing a woman’s “choice”s by force and implying she should have no “choice” when it comes to her child’s life. You can also tell because of the excitement he shows at his own criminal imagination of the prospect of violence. Pro-DEATHers have a hard time hiding their true stripes.
ps I noticed he changed his post but “she’ll get what she deserves” is not much better and also a threat and against blog rules.
This dude DOES need prayer. Jim, Jesus’s arms are always open. He came here and died for sinners like you, not righteous people. YOU. Ms. Wasserman Shultz and her Feminazis apparently think rape is acceptable in many cases. They conspire with Planned Parenthood to conceal tens of thousands of cases of statutory rape every year. Cases of thirteen year old girls impregnated by 27 year old men do not seem to inspire the sniffy high dudgeon
of the hate faced harpies with two last names. They have one policy for unproven accusations against Clarence Thomas and quite another for undisputed fact in the cases of Kennedy and Clinton.

Maria,
Being a student of journalism, I would think you would already have the answer to your question… Notice that in my original post I said, “journalism at its core is unbiased and fair” and I was not implying that the crap we see on television today is true journalism. But it is insulting for someone to call this BLOG ‘journalism’ and make the comment that Jill Stanek ‘restores my faith in journalism’… seriously??? Let’s not even venture into that arena….
About the March for Life… glad you brought that up… Being a student of journalism, I’m assuming you would have had or will have some exposure to the ownership and history of media outlets today and found out some interesting things…. that explain why ABC, CBS, NBC, FOX, etc are not unbiased. They try… but they’re not. Even the ‘alternative’ media outlets like Mother Jones, The Nation, MediaMatters, etc, the so-called ‘independent’ media outlets have a strong liberal bias.
Just because I correct people when they misspeak and call something journalism, that clearly is NOT, and remind them of what true journalism is, does not mean I think the mierda we see on TV today is accurate. Actually, I think the more you watch, the less you know! Maybe it would do us all some good to watch passively- try to expand our horizons and thought processes by listening and engaging with those with whom we adamantly agree and disagree and then– *gasp* here’s a novel idea— think for ourselves.

Low income women, who are single, do not receive Medicaid. Low income mothers with children, who make more than the maximum allowed for Medicaid/AFDC eligibility and who do not have employer health benefits utilize Planned Parenthood. And BTW, married couple conceive children that they can’t afford.

“Ms. Wasserman Shultz and her Feminazis”
As Ms. Wasserman Shultz is Jewish, your description of her as a “Nazi” is highly offensive. But then you Christian anti-choicers do have a problem with liberal Jews who are pro-choice and who are not part of your movement to put women back in the dark ages (when Jews were actively persecuted by the church which is the mainstay of the anti-choice movement and which was quite close to real Nazis.)

“But then you Christian anti-choicers do have a problem with liberal Jews who are pro-choice”
Yes, just as we have a problem with Christians, atheists or anyone else who is pro-choice. Not an example of anti-Semitism.
Wasserman and Schulz are German last names. Most people wouldn’t see anything specifically Jewish about them. (Automatically connecting a German last name with the Nazis is another question, but then “Feminazis” is really just a comical nickname with a remote connection to the original).
“and who are not part of your movement to put women back in the dark ages (when Jews were actively persecuted by the church which is the mainstay of the anti-choice movement and which was quite close to real Nazis.)”
On the other hand, you have no problem blatantly, directly and above all FALSELY smearing the Catholic Church for its supposed closeness to the Nazis. I have answered you on this smear numerous times on this site and you absolutely refuse to be corrected.
I think I am going to imitate ninek and for every anti-Catholic remark you make, put an extra dollar in the collection plate on Sunday. Maybe that will make you think twice.
$1 and counting.

What kind of dual schism in the brain does it take to tell people “Don’t be racially or culturally offensive! Bad you!! Bad bad you!!” and with the same mouth and tongue tell people “It’s perfectly OK to kill defenseless people for any reason whatsover! Any reason!! Especially if they are poor and we declare them undesirable!!”
What kind of schism is that?

Based on the information given by this “trafficker”, Planned Parenthood reported the fake trafficker to the FBI.

Frankly, I do think the Planned Parenthood staff member behaved inappropriately in several places – but I have to honestly ask myself, as a social worker, what would I have done in her position? I very well may have said whatever I thought would make the trafficker feel as comfortable as possible, so that he would have no hesitation in sending his “girls” in – therefore allowing them to be rescued from him.
The FBI is now involved in this case – I imagine they are frustrated by the wasted resources and tax dollars involved when they found out that the “trafficker” that they were searching for was actually some dishonest person trying to negatively impact a health care organization.

Kel,
Okay, well if you honestly think Live Action Films’ work is journalism then you’re a lost cause.
That’s like saying Michael Moore’s films are real, and calling him a journalist. HA!

Hi Kris.

To call PP a healthcare center in this context is essentially question begging because that is precisely what Lila is out to disprove. In other words, her claim is that while perhaps PP does some good things, they are heavily involved with things that would not be considered healthcare, even in the mind of those who support legalized abortion. An organization that masquerades as a helathcare center which also acts as a safe-haven for pimps and those exploiting young vulnerable girls is nonetheless STILL an organization that acts as a safe-haven for pimps and those exploiting young vulnerable girls. Now if this does not prove that, at least on some level, there is corruption and reworking that needs to be done around PP, I’m not sure what will.

Are you not a mandated reporter?

I can understand making the pimp feel comfortable, but only so that he stays around long enough for the cops to get there. As a social worker, is it your role to notify authorities of possible abuse, or is it your role to make the abuser feel comfortable bringing his alleged victims to you for rescue? Unless the latter were your ONLY option (which didn’t appear to be the case from the video) why would you neglect to call law enforcement immediately?

Hi Izabel,
Actually, originally, the comment was made by Steve Mashni on 2-2 at 2:27: please keep it up. i’m so proud to see this type of work. restores my faith in journalism
You latched on to that statement and seemed to think it was referring to this blog instead of to Lila Rose’s work with Live Action.
I never referred to either this blog or to Lila Rose’s stings as journalism, and I believe you misread his comment in the first place.
But it’s nice that you decided to insult me even though I never made the comments. Great investigative journalism, there, Iz.

The comment is vague in the first place, and it doesn’t matter if it was intended to be about Lila Rose or Jill Stanek- however you interpret Steve’s comment- it’s a far stretch. A little too far. That was my point.
Appologies for any offense to you Kel. That wasn’t my intention… maybe a just a byproduct of others’ attacks that got directed at you in a flippant manner. Peace.

“Debating” her would only vindicate her dishonest ambush-journalism tactics and elevate her media profile. Apart from investigating any possible violations of the law she has committed, it’s best to ignore her.

How exactly will you rescue them on the fly? And what about the pimp? Is he going to leave quietly – he’s probably sitting in the parking lot waiting for her- or forcibly take his “girl” away? That’s dangerous for everyone involved, don’t you think?

She has brought to light, and is investigating, “possible violations of the law”. So are you saying it’s ok for PP to investigate “possible violations of the law” but not for Lila Rose to? Why can PP do it and not Lila? THEY are the ones exposed here for the pedophile-child-sex-slavery-enabling organization that they are, but you want to shoot the messenger! YOU may be willing to “help women” by enslaving, murdering, and raping other women you deem “undesirable” but I am not. We crazy antis just don’t think that makes sense!
Would you accuse a lady on the street who happens across a crime and video tapes it for evidence then calls the cops of dishonest ambush tactics? Or commend her for being a good citizen? How about when the FBI conducts sting operations of their own? Are their dishonest ambush tactics just too unforgivable to even consider the guilt of the criminals they investigated?
